Thanks man.. It's growing slowly. The drone is one of the best in the market. I've seen only good reviews. If you're eventually going to the DJI FPV system or want really good video range/quality, the HD version is perfect.

waiting for mine to arrive. Have been interested in FPV simulator for awhile. Glad I waited. The Jumper changed over the last 8 months. So ELRS had time to become the preferred protocol going forward. Not likely but better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Thank you for the review. New Sub.

I don't know if that question was for me or NuClear Motivations, but I still have mine and it works, but I don't use it because I have other options. You should consider their LiteRadio3 or a Jumper-T Lite V2 if you're looking for gamestyle radios.

Have you ever plugged the radio from the Aquila 16 kit into the configurator? If not, could I ask a favor for you to plug it in and let me know how the channels are setup for the Aquila 16? Is it using the stock setup the same as the standalone radio that you are setting up in this video? Thanks very much! I'm actually planning to try it with a Radiomaster Pocket Radio with Ranger ELRS module. I need to know what channel is mapped to each of the switches. If I can't get that to work, I may just pick up the Literadio that you are working with here, if I feel confident that it will work as the one included with the kit.

I have a Lite2 ELRS - Beta Configurator sees it but won't reset etc. As is the settings are all WAY too sensitive. Would like to reset but even with local update will not flash. It must not be finding it after I hold setting etc and put it in mode that will accept download. Anyone know how to overcome? Thanks

Excellent Video, I am just getting into FPVs and recently got the BETAFPV Cetus Pro kit which come with the controller. Was thinking about getting the Protek25 and was wondering if this controller will work with that drone? Thanks

This one is the ELRS version.. If your Protek25 has an ELRS receiver, then it should work. If you're sold on BetaFPV for a radio, I would consider the LiteRadio3(I'll leave my review on it linked below). Please help I’ve been trying to update the software on my light radio to SE so that I can use to simulator but I won’t let me because I don’t know where to find the file I don’t know where to install the file so that I can do it locally

Does anyone know which switch (top or bottom right) puts it into angle, horizon, acro mode ?

I think there is no correct answer to this question as the radio is fully customizable in BetaFlight. You can choose and assign any switch to do this function, and all drones are setup differently, even from the factory. I think most people use the left top switch, as its a three position switch(one for each mode) and is near the Arm/Disarm switch.

@@OneManUnmanned ahhhhh okay 👍🏾 Thank you, I flew with it straight out the box and had to guess which switch does what. Crashed and lost signal to the drone several times. So I stopped using it. But I’ll check in betaflight

This is the ELRS version, it binds automatically to all my ELRS drones, even ones I've never flown with this radio before. No re-binding necessary(binding phrase in ELRS makes this all possible).

I'm undecided on this transmitter, I've currently got a flysky fs-i6 but am only getting around 2-300 meters range in perfect conditions. Would moving to one of these be a worthy upgrade or would I best save up for a Radiomaster Zorro?

ELRS will perform better than any Frsky protocol, even if the radio itself is cheaper in nature. Having said that, the Zorro is a better radio than the LiteRadio2. If you find a good deal on a LiteRadio3, it might also be a good option if you get the Frsky version, then later buy an ELRS Module later down the road.

I've done a few videos showing how to do it. You'll need the Betafpv configurator if you have a LiteRadio2 or 3(not pro). You'll need the ExpressLRS Configurator for other radios. The LED bulbs, I got them from Amazon(generic brand). As far as the shelves, they were from IKEA.

A binding phrase is an alternative way to have a secure connection between your radio(and only your radio) and your drone. Think of it as the Wi-Fi password to a router. Without it, no one can access the internet. It's also convenient, because once your bind phrase is set, new drones and receivers can bind easily to your existing radio, as long as the binding phrase is the same. This radio will work with your sim. It depends on what you want. Are most of your drones Frsky or ELRS? At this point, Frsky receivers are more common in drones, especially Bind & Fly drones. ELRS is a newer and ever evolving protocol. ELRS also has better range and is more responsive (low latency) than Frsky, but has a steeper learning curve. Once you have ELRS setup/configured, it's easy to use. Hope this info helps.

Im definitely going to need your expertise with elrs i been flying d8 d16 and crossfire for 6 years. I do not know how to flash firmware but i know how to use betaflight, BLheli setting up my quads and whoops. But i would love to learn more about it im interested in the range elrs has to offer

It's not a stupid question... Yes, most pilots feel ELRS is better due to better performance, longer range, cheaper price, and more capabilities. ... and I'm stuck at step 1. I plug the radio into the computer and i get the windows sound that it's connected but the betafpv software does nothing and won't connect. I think this ##%$ drone hobby is for people that have endless patience or way too much free time lol

Sorry to hear... Sometimes the radio has to be off when you plug it into the computer. Sometimes it has to be on. Try plugging it in with the radio off first.

I haven't reviewed that drone, so I'm not 100% familiar with it. Is the receiver external, or built-in to the flight controller board like an SPI receiver?

@@OneManUnmanned Flywoo Firefly has a F745 FC. The ELRS is this ultra tiny board zip tied off to the side (made by flywoo I think) and has a T antenna. From what I read the Remote Controller (betafpv LiteRadio 2 se elrs) and the drone receiver must be the same firmware version? Hopefully all this different brand ELRS hardware is compatible
