My wife has a great natural talent for voice acting, been working on a custom follower mod which a lot of people love. My writing is creative, maybe not cringe, but has massive grammar errors which I struggle with, my wife is good at grammar so she always fixes the mistakes I make. Gotta say I'm really enjoying working on the mod together, watch this tutorial cuz I'm working on a fetch item intro quest to introduce you to the character, will funnel you into factions that she responds to differently later in the questline/lines. Thanks for your amazing tutorial!

Watching this video series with great interest. This tutorial in particular got me thinking about making a quest for my current mod, Spectacle Island - The institute Reborn. Specifically, I thought the simple fetch quest scenario would be useful to help guide the player to various aspects of this settlement. Stages could go something like: 10 We need more power 20 Dying of thrust here 30 Need a place to rest my weary head 40 The best defense is a strong offensive The quest would guide the player to the locations of terminals which would be used to activate these particular aspects (power, water, requisition beds, and turrets. Thanks for making these videos. They are extremely useful and very much appreciated.

It's funny that the moment you said going into Quest Objectives is prone to crash Creation Kit, it crashed for me lol

How would you set up a generic item? Like, any item of [x] type. I've been looking into it, but every tutorial I find uses unique items or specific instances of an item. I'm trying to set up a quest in Skyrim where I have to bring a specific ingredient (e.g. Nightshade, Blue Mountain Flower, Luna Moth Wing, etc.) to an NPC, but I can't figure out how to set up the reference. I was thinking of using Create Reference to Object with at/in set to NONE, but in examples I've seen that appears to generate an item, so I'm not sure if that would do anything. EDIT: I think I finally found another way by looking at the "FavorJobs" radiant quests' scripts :)

Kinggath, is it possible to extend this quest tutorial series to encompass "on quest completion a set condition on a constructible object is met that then unlocks a workshop item" (as with the vanilla Picket Fence magazine)

I made a new quest with dialogue following this tutorial and the one prior to it, however I have this strange thing happen while my script is running my player can't interact with some NPC's like doctors I can't use the heal process or get the random greeting dialogue from nameless NPCS, once my quests ends everything returns to normal. Any idea why?

Not sure what you mean. Next week's lesson I'm going to go over kill quests, if that's what you're after.
