You can tell how much Toei streched this arc, between the endless running segments, the 7 minute long recaps and the unnecessary repeats of the flashback (don't worry you will get there) which only happened once in the manga....

Though they didn't show it it looks like they tried to attack her and got art-ed. I think her attack weakens you? I don't remember if they outright said it or if I just assumed that getting hit by the art forms of them would be like getting hit by a wet noodle

In reference to the crowd shot, Dressrosa was the time where the weekly anime cycle was really starting to break for the Toei animators. This was before stuff like “cours” or “seasonal anime” was even a thing. So they had to make shortcuts to make sure they were able to get the episode done on time, WHILE not catching up completely to the manga. Which I believe the arc was STILL going on by the time this was released. So, this is what we get. 🤷‍♂️

It's down right tragic that the people were not only turn into toys, but their friends, families, and loved ones don't even remember them. It's especially tragic for that one guy that lost his girlfriend, he basically got NTR'd.

When Wit gets to this part of the story, they should animate a scene of Law escaping Fujitora and Doflamingo similar to how Levi was dodging attacks from Kenny's crew. It'd be the greatest reference of all time.

Yeah, Toei animation was rushing through a lot of anime, so the quality has its ups and downs. But when you get to Wano, the quality is going to skyrocket, and I ain't joking.

7 minute recap is the Toei experience for Dressrosa unfortunately and there's more to come. One Pace solves a lot of the issues with pacing, including removing dead weight filler where nothing is happening or things are excessively repeated.

The recaps in Dressrosa are the reason many people didn't like the arc. It was difficult to watch week by week.

The interesting thing here is that Do flamingo is not underestimating Luffy or Law. He has them trapped but neither Luffy or Law are the core of their strength and not the only moving parts on the board.

For a while, the auto-generated subtitles said gods or quads, but eventually gave in and said guads XD

Also. get used to those long recaps. The anime was catching up perilously close to the manga by this point, and has been right on its heels ever since, so they started using this little trick to cut down how much material they cover with each episode, even if it's only by a couple of minutes.
