This is just me but Hunter the Vigil pairs excellently with Deviant the Renegades since it has rules to create Evil Conspiracies (Umbrella, Pentex, etc.) and monsters with more options.

It pairs well with all the game lines as villains. Most splats often are targeted by hunters.

Can't wait till my 2ED book shows up, got Deviant not too long ago, so Hunter should not be far off. Love the addition of Mysterious Places to add to a mystery for a game.

It's a shame my favorite conspiracy Aegis Kai Doru doesn't appear in 2nd edition with full rules (although it is briefly mentioned). Hopefully it will come out in some supplement.

Thanks for a great video! Been waiting for my copy of HtV2 to arrive. Would love to know your thoughts on the recently announced Hunter the Reckoning 5e as compared to HtV 2. Not looking to start any edition wars as I appreciate NWOD and OWOD, just genuinely curious on someone who's always wanted to play a hunter game but has not done so. Also curious if you plan to cover upcoming oWod releases in addition to your nwod coverage? Thanks again.

hey bro i started WOD years ago during my deployment vampire the requiem, werewolf the forsaken, hunter the vigil etc. i tried to get back into it but o cant find any of it. what happened to it all? your the first channel i have seen speaking about it. thank you

Links to the PDFs and print on demands are in the video descriptions. I think nWoD/CofD is not as publicized as VtM or oWoD because Paradox has put a lot into the name recognition of VtM and WtA. Especially in regards to video games like Bloodlines and the visual novels like Coteries and Swansong

i bought this in 2011 in europe thinking ' this looks ok. lets buy this' at a boardgame shop having no real expectations out of the ordinary, 'ok looks like a card game w some dices, ok why not'? then i began a simulated solo session me controlling 2 characters and I'll never forget lines that 'DAMN THOSE WHO GET IN MY WAY' ...!! and while i was reading the cards i was like 'TF is this, it was like YOURS TRULY could have written the same on the cards...!!😮 so many cards TAKEM from my OWN EXPERIENCE IN MY OWN LIFE, I REALLY FELT AND EXPERIENCED ALOT OF THINGS THAT WAS DESCRIBED ON THE CARDS,no i dont care waht u think, demons (and angels) and god really EXIST, they are all REAL, and especially demons are all around in society, in hierarchys, in structures, on the streets, its true just like the cards confirmed...pls think im crazy, i tell u im not... 😬😱😳😳🤯🤯

Does HtV 2nd edition require the Chronicles of Darkness core book? I’m interested in it and want to see what I need to play it. Also, do I need the rest of the core books to create adversaries for HtV, or is there enough in its own core book and supplements?

You don't need anything other than the HtV 2e book. The CofD core rules are free via the God-Machine Update, it doesn't have many scenarios or premade NPCs, but it works for general rules stuff: www.drivethrurpg.com/product/114078/World-of-Darkness-GodMachine-Rules-Update?term=God-machine+Update You do not need the core rulebooks for the other gamelines to run monsters like Vampires, Werewolves, Mages, etc... you can get away with just using the Generic Monster rules in HtV and giving them modified Dread Powers to simulate what the other gamelines have. For instance, you could take the Dread Attack dread power and say instead of causing a tilt the user heals equal to the damage it causes. And stuff like that. Note Undead seems to have the general effect of downgrading Lethal to Bashing damage.

As to get away with… Is that ideal, just using the monster creation rules rather than building custom characters using the other core books (that sounds costly in terms of money and time). Do the HtV 1e books convert over well? Did they have any adversary books worth getting?

Not that I recall. Only Tier 3 had them.

Late comment, but I think hololive mythbreakers was run on 2e, IRC they got were sponsored by onyx path and given an early copy.

Sadly they weren’t initially and there was some issues with the thumbnails they used. The logos they used were from World of Darkness not Chronicles of Darkness. They also at least for the first few episodes used the 1e character creation rules.
