Really the only religious group who still follows ceremonial laws are Jews. "Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food" is literally one of the eleven rules of the church of satan, isn't it? satanism is so misunderstood! i go to a catholic school and my religion teacher said something incorrect abt satanism, so i said "satanists don't actually worship the devil, satanism is an atheistic religion" and everyone was just like denying it lmao

I'd say about 95% of people that speak against Satanism don't know anything about the actual philosophy. And they just go off based on what they see in movies, true crime documentaries, and whatever their religious leaders tell them. Mostly movies and TV.
