Finally now that Sega finally gives us a phantasy star spin off game for the switch 2. I have been waiting for this game since phantasy star portable 2 no infinity on that. Plus my first phantasy star game was phantasy star portable 1 and 2 but phantasy star portable 2 was my favorite accept it's missing the DLC add on infinity a piece of phantasy star portable 2 missing content.

Well OJ, PSO: NGS, just added spin-off of GC's EP3: C.A.R.D. Revolution. As an in-game mini-game. so that brought back some memories :D Last time I returned to almost GC version. was the Fan Server: Ephinea (PC), it have Ep 1-2 + Blue burst. It should still be up, it's a good place, if ppl wanna play the Nostalgia Cruise ^^
I get that people don’t like GaaS (myself included) but these games are essential for other games to come out. The revenue that comes from them is enormous and PSO2 has been a huge hit for Sega. It’s been probably 2 decades since a non online Phantasy Star came out and the franchise was at its peak during the Dreamcast era games. Hell people still play those old Dreamcast games online via private servers.
I played PSO1 on the dreamcast. It was an awesome time and if they created the same style but enhanced with gameplay and graphically better, i think it will sell well...
nintendo probably has like 20 games done right now, they probably want to make sure the first year of the new gen is set with games , nintendo won't make the mistake microsoft and sony did , when they released a new gen with NO GAMES lol

I know you said it’s a PSO spin-off game, but aside from a classic phantasy star remake I’d be so giddy for a remake of PSO with versions 1&2 with maybe a whole new episode that is not PSO episode3(the card game)

I guess you mean more like PSU for the ps2, or the Master System/Sega Genesis Phantasy Star titles that were just turn based single player jrpgs. Oh yeah, pso1 had an offline mode, my bad.
How can you not stand Phantasy Star Online? I've literally never heard anyone say that. We all have our preferences ofcourse but I just don't believe you. It was a wonderful game.
I know this is a silly nitpick that really doesn't matter. But it really feels weird hearing him constantly say "gamecube style of pso", when refering to a game that originally came out on the dreamcast.
I’m thinking Nintendo is going to finish out the year with some remakes and a couple of new titles to keep the Switch going till 2025 and then have some big titles to launch Switch 2. I’m hoping a Windwaker and Twighlight Princess remaster double pack in a special edition kind of like they did with Pokemon and Fire Emblem games. If they drop that on next direct with sales going live during direct, I hope can score one before scalpers try to snatch those up
I have it on the GameCube and have the Nintendo component HD cable So it plays at 480p and it looks surprisingly well and plays amazing even today. I hope they re release it with 60fps and 720p/1080p on switch
Phantasy star online for the GameCube may be one of my favorite games of all time, I still play it online with my cousins on out modded Wii consoles hahah it’s so sad that sega has gone away from that style pso 😔

*I love the idea that Nintendo has the option to release remaster, remakes and other older titles on the Switch and Switch 2 way after the Switch is released.* *They can keep this going years into the Switch 2 life, costs them practically nothing.* *Want the new exclusive games then get a Switch 2, which is a no-brainer since we know the first and second party bangers are coming.* *Same with 3rd party, all devs that did well on the Switch and took the time to create those impossible Switch ports have their other titles locked and loaded, Dying Light 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, CyberPunk and the list goes on.* *Plus the current Switch titles may have upgraded visuals and FPS on the Switch 2.* *In this way Nintendo will drop the price on the Switch 1 to super low prices.* *Switch OLED = $200, Switch OG = $100 and Switch Lite $50.* *They can afford to do that, no chip shortage since they are using a chip from 2015, tons in stock and not costing them anything of significance.*
Do you actually believe they've been sitting on WW and TP for at least 3 years and didn't even release them when TotK got delayed? Not to mention all the other openings in the schedule? That comment could also read like "It such an obvious release, I don't know why they haven't done it yet."
As someone who enjoyed based PSO2 & NGS back in 2021, but dropped them in late 2022 due to burnout, this new spin-off news does sound interesting. It probably won't do any anime or game collabs, but we'll see what kind of game it is.
