I'm a Mark 4 guy! I have an ALH TDI and I'm almost done getting my 1.8 t working perfectly again. I put a lot of work into it and I can't wait to drive it. Always been my dream car Love the channel keep it up
@@FiglioBastardo for us normal folks it's a journey that requires patience lol I'm glad for my ALH, I have it mildly upgraded but not a lot so that it stays reliable. A vnt17 but when I put injectors in I went with stock because it's already pretty quick and I don't want to blow it up it has 370,000 mi on it. All the important things are new suspension steering brakes but I'm glad it's so reliable so I can keep pouring money into the 1.8 lol
@@jimlee7317 Fire me up! Yeah mine has 329k on her right now. Honestly with mileage like ours the engine is good for another 300-500k even with upgrades. We're putting the doka17 on mine with fratelli bosio 7 holes until I do the whole Audi S3 radiator/intercooler/oil cooler upgrade, then it's to the moon baby! We're thinking about doing a compound or bi-turbo turbo set up. 🤣
I got a few pics posted on my community page of the wife's old Jetta that is now been Smyth Ute converted. It'll be ready for some summer cruising this year finally. No, I'd never do this again as I've tallied up over 1000hrs in the last 3yrs, but probably half of that is the real work.
I've been thinking about buying a mk4 gti or Jetta, and by me, just now, finding your channel has pretty much cemented my decision! Love the work you're doing!
Aye, Hp I got a 03 20L Jetta red as well bought it w 170,000 on it and kid told me the timing belt was replaced around 155,000 by himself!!! Had my motor guy look at it but all he said was that the oil is dark n smells a little burnt, I’m tight on money n told him that he said just change the filter n oil within the next week or so, the things runs great like no issues besides the Catholic Convertrt, has a small hole in it runs a little loud
Sick rides...I got out the Audi/vw game when I had to sell my b5 s4...LOOOVE roll racing....Even with my awd...Launching just beats the fuck out of my drivetrain....
I love the chuckFab parts your running. The FMIC looks super efficient and flows. I NEED to get the info on how I could get a chuckFab setup for my 03 jetta.
Nice job! You were killing it out there in the Red 1.8t! I noticed the Black Jetta with the pistons/rods/cams still had the stock intake manifold. Just a thought, the Red Jetta with the nice intake manifold would probably benefit the Black Jetta even more.
Hey bud I just built an mk1 Audi TT Quattro 6 speed 800hp plus build 78 mm turbo full build about 30k can’t wait for it to be finished this weekend but your videos make me wonder what hp level your on
Keep up the vids, how have you not bent a rod yet. Me and my friend is also tuning the 1.8t, aiming for 400hp at the wheels. we both have forged internals.
One reason is becaus he has a big turbo..power comes on gradually and at higher rpm..vs a smaller turbo that spools fast and power hits a lot faster .. its the sudden "burst of power" that does damage.
VR6 was originally meant to be Turbo diesel then VW at the last minute decided to scrap that and make it gasoline. the vr6 12v/24v is over built to shit for a stock engine. only has a couple downfalls really.
Damn Im from northern WI and am gonna need a tune once i go big turbo.. 25psi on stock k03 right now lol, are you from the cities area? Maybe i could get a chuck tune, seems legit.. Had no idea brainerd is so fun my dads neighbor is big block shawn, goes every year
@@mxz700MN Ill get ahold of you when i have the funds for the build i want then maybe you can hook me up with the pro himself... Im in central wisconsin a lot, would totally drive over to work with you guys, seem like my type of people hahah. Looking to get to 450-500whp at the end of it all. Thanks! subbed
@@mynameisjonas1997 we can definatly get you a kit built! we are working on a budget build engine also for when mine blows up! to see how much power we can make on minimal parts!
If it was just that the bumper skin was removed ,and you hung the side marker lights back on and kept the actual bumper ,it would be legit. Might be ugly that way to some ,but it's fine. Same with the old myth about riding without a hood ,that's a myth. And if ya wanna get silly, doors are overrated too and that's what seat belts are for.
in use to have a dw65v intank and a inline walburo 255 pump right befor the fuel rail but now I switched to twin walburo 450s in the tank it's probably overkill because 1 walburo 450 is good for 5-600 hp
I've only done 2 1/4 mile passes with the car. with no launch control. it ran a 14.9 @115mph 3.1 sec 60ft. I will make that time faster next year it has the mph for a low 12 sec pass!
@@mxz700MN what turbo? I’m running the Garrett series GT3071r and I’m making around 450+ and I think that’s on stock rods. I’m not too for sure. I haven’t pulled the block a part yet.
Soma Falkenstein if I’m not mistaken you can have stock rods up to 300 lbs/ft. Anything higher look at H beam rods or IE forged connecting rods. But that’s for the big horsepower. If you want like 400 hp 300 ft pounds of torque just focus on clutch, fmic, fuel injectors, fuel pump, high flow intake manifold, high flow turbo inlet, less restrictive exhaust, bov/forge 007 diverter valve, cold air intake is also recommended and if you wanna be able to stop fast; upgraded calipers (2 piston calipers should be plenty powerful). Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is what I’ve come to the conclusion of after researching for my Jetta.
Big turbo, low torque curve for sake of internals. Torque hits up top These puppies can go +400hp on stock internals. Just gotta know what you are doing, like this guy.
Do I have to buy a tune or there is a way to do it with a laptop? I love your car btw I have jetta Wolfsburg 1.8t started some mods on it like ko4 turbo 3” turbo back said and evap delete turbo inlet pipe and that’s it for now my wife is buying me a fmic for my birthday and dv I would very appreciate if you could give me some advice pls
lots of company's make tunes that can be flashed to your ecu from the obd2 port like the first time I did on my car when it had the stock turbo was a Apr tune. my guy could tune your car if you are local to minnesota
Man i wished I did I’m all the way in Massachusetts that sucks I have plans to forge the internals for next year and roll cage lol I wish we could meet one day
