Why you want to buy land? You don't hold indian passport, you don't pay GST, you don't live there, you are enjoying your life in foreign country, taking all benefits of foreign country. Also, in NRE account there is no TDS deduction. What else you want? I request government of India to revoke all those rights and OCI as Foreigners.

@@raghavagarwal4653 I’m sorry but u can’t judge anyone and comment. We have our harmandir sahib there too. My grandparents were born there it’s still our mother land. Why we have whole loads of Indian living and working in Malaysia then why are they coming to Malaysia to work to enjoy the perks as an expat and with the currency rates too. So please there are loads of them have inherited lands too. I also hope that the Malaysian government should stop the second home too for Indians should they ? Itni shoti shoj aapki. Indian government makes good returns from foreigners like us All OCI and NRI and why would they revoke as such wat u all locals are giving to India. So please think before u speak please

@@Manjitsaran2020 I am only talking about the facts and not interested to know which religion you belong to... Firstly, why did you mention your religion in the response? We all belong to same religion which is called HUMANITY Secondly, people residing in foreign countries are earning more than average income of Indians. Just because of this law price of poperties in India is on Peak. We as local residents can't buy the property because it is already too expensive. All foreign money is coming to India and people are buying properties freely. This is because we are homeless

Indian money is not fully repatriable. Giving too much buying power to NRI’s can cause lot of damage. Imagine Saudi pumps all Oil money into India - Poor Indians will not be able to buy a thing...

Sir I don’t agree with you, if you are an Indian citizen living in other country than you can open normal bank accounts and if you’re citizen of other country and have OCI than for the income from other country you don’t have to pay taxes on interest, and the income you have from India you have to have NRO account and you have to pay 31% tax on interest of that provided it’s more than minimum income tax thrashhold. I am British citizen living in India with OCI card since last 15 years.

Adhar is not the proof of citizenship. You can hold adhar card if you are a resident of India

Very confusing information. What is the use of keeping an OCI card? They had given better options and rights earlier. Now they are changing the opportunities and rights, then what’s the use of keeping the card huh? We will be looked upon as foreigners ... really? When the Foreign Passport is renewed, one has to update the information including change of permanent address on an Online Service. I have used this service in the 3rd week of August 2023 & am still awaiting the result as on 12/09/2023!!

NRI (Non resident Indian for taxation purposes) but Indian citizen. If the child has foreign passport but parents are indian citizens working in foreign country. Go to your nearest Indian consulate and file for one.

Age 0 to 20 whenever u renew your passport you renew oci, 20 to 50 no need to renew oci, if your oci is made before age 50 then after 50 u make another, if your oci is made after the age 50 its permanent

Indian citizens born in India should not have to give up their citizenship for OCI, just like every other country on this planet they should have dual citizenship! Look at USA, EU, Japan, China, Russia, Israel, all of their country born citizens can keep dual citizenship, even Pakistan allows it. Decisions made in India is to humiliate & Confuse Indians and Modi & BJP is no exemption!

Here in Tanzania the officials are rejecting people's application, i have a relative who had Indian passport for all his life, renounced Indian citizenship for Tanzanian citizenship, he then went to apply for OCI, they're asking him to bring ORIGINAL passports of his parents and grand parents from India. What stupid logic is this???

OCI holdes are not only people who parents are living abroad.. there is thousads who are settled in India and kids have complete their primary education completely In India.. But there are many OCI kids who are born abroad when their parents were abroad on some temporary posting while working for Indian company for short time(may be 1 or 2 years) and got citizenship by birth which cannot be denied. The parents have moved back to India with all the love, affection and emotions for motherland.. so their kids stay and completed their primary education in India only. They are pretty much like any other Indian student. For such kids why should they not be treated like any other Indian for eligibility in educational institutions.. Why not domiciliary in any state not override the criteria for OCI for eligibility in education institutions.. Even Karnataka court has also agreed to this and given judgement accordingly and then why should the judgement not be respected by the Govt? Is it a SIN for the kid to be born abroad and parents returning back to India? or is it SIN to have child if you are on temporary work assignment abroad while working for Indian company? If Govt still wants to continue with its what it thinks now, it is not wise to make it effective immediately.. It should be effective atleast after 15 years so that parents can have time to think on available options. Other counties give Dual citizenship.. Why not our Unique INDIA do that? Is it that any other Indian student getting admission in education institutions on Indian citizenship quota guaranteed to continue with their citizenship after completing education? if not, why such disparity for OCI kids living permanently and studying in India?

My wife is a foreigner,we married since 11 years .mother of three children.she is second wife we r a Muslims.muslim low allowed me for multiple marriage that first wife has no objection...we applied for OCI card in 2016 still pending in FRRO Bangalore.from their side that indian muslim can marry only Indian muslim as a second wife not a foreigner muslim... indian muslim cannot marry a foreigner muslim?with permission of first wife?pls reply thanks

The nomenclature OCI is a misnomer.They are not Citizens if India.They gave up Indian citizenship and became citizens of another country.The old name PIO correctly describes their position .Congress which hates BJP wanted to change and without understanding renamed it as OCI

Mam pls advise me My father is an Indian(DOB 1954) and my uncle is citizen of Britain (DOB 1947) They both are joint owners of property (agricultural land). This land is purchased by their father in 1954 jointly in to there names, at that time they were minors. Mam can my uncle have right over this land........? and is it legally allowed. I dont know my uncle is OCI holder or not. what if is so or not?

183 days criteria for NRI is only under Income Tax Act. Under FEMA, if someone leaves India and goes to foreign country for immigration then he is NRI from day 1 of immigration to foreign country. Please do proper full research before making video.
