You can not play in the NFL straight out of highschool. You must play 3yrs of college first. A rule based on the physicality of the NFL . MLB & NBA can draft players straight out if highschool. But if you sign to play college baseball you must stay for 3yrs . Basketball you can leave college for the NBA anytime.

Usually the NFL picks players in college. If there good atletes in football. College is kinda a "pre NFL play ground"

Personally almost no rugby players could transfer because of specificity coordination agility and most being one dimensional you can be big n fast all you want but it’s not gonna get you far outside of combine numbers in the 40 a few have made it but hardly play if at all

So comparison Speed football on average Agility and stepping rugby Lower body power rugby Upper body football Tackling rugby by far Catching football Something American Football is very superior in is TV broadcast.
