My first time going to Wheeling for Hope Off Road event in my Jeep Wrangler YJ. It is a charity event to raise money for cancer research. The event regularly sells out all 200 vehicle spots in a manner of minutes each year.
The event is at Oak Ridge Estate which is south of Charlottesville, VA by about a half hour.
Great event with terrific trails and river crossings. My son and I had a very good time.

Really a very good event. You have to sign up right when it opens or you won't get in. The river crossings were a blast.

Your YJ was a champ. Great off roading fun. Hoping to purchase a YJ here in SoCal in the next 2 years. Love the square lights and DIY possibilities.

My favorite thing about the YJ is how easy it is to work on and upgrade. My little YJ surprises a lot of people.

Can you go there even when the event is not taking place?

Nope. Only open for events. It is all private property. That is why the event sells out in minutes. It is a real bummer it had to be canceled this year.

do you run lockers in the yj, if so whats your setup

Steve Blankenship I have the stock axles right now with 33’s. I run a Spartan lunchbox locker in front and the back is open. I also have done a tummy tuck which is a big help. It has the stock 4.10 gearing. She surprises a lot of people.

@@StarkReality ok ,thanks my wife has the 4.10 also ,with 32, cant use 5th gear unless its down hill. its getting 4.88s soon, i have been told front locks makes a big difference. thanks

Steve Blankenship I have waited to upgrade the Dana 35 before rehearing or locking the back. Coming soon. Front locker is amazingly good.
