It makes me sound like a dinosaur, but I think Mike Pence had a point when he admitted he makes it a rule not to go out alone with someone of the opposite sex. You don’t put yourself in situations where anything can happen or where there can be any question as to what happened! I’m not saying wives need to be tied to the kitchen barefoot and pregnant, but our grandparents generation respected marriage and understood how to make it work. Too many people (mostly women, but there are some men) completely sabotage their relationships because they allowed themselves to get emotionally involved with someone else. This is how it always starts (especially with women). They start talking to another man about all their problems at home and turning to this other guy for support for every problem. They invent problems or at least create them so they can lean on this new guy and talk about what a horrible man they’ve got at home. It’s SO predictable!! Yes, some men are just assholes, but more often than not, these women are trading in a great guy for an asshole because only an asshole would be a married woman’s sloppy seconds.
