Matty Boy Anderson the HD version of AoE2 on steam is insanely good value in terms of content for not much money at all. Great piece of gaming history.
True, but the whole "17 hours a day is nothing man!" angle was blatantly false. 17 hours a day is a ridiculous amount of time to be doing anything let alone video games.
Rue U Idk man, ive stayed up for 36 hours at a clip playing videogames before. That was when i was a kid with no job and no gf. 17 hours straight of AoE sounds rough though. Games definitely COULD last that long, to the guy above me. Depends on how big the map is, population cap, how many computers you're playing against, etc. Opie is full of shit though, he says 17 hours a day is nothing and then immediately walks it back to 10 after working out that its impossible to play more than that, have a 9 to 5 job, and sleep.
in my experience people that take every word seriously and feel a need to "CORRECT" what has been said are on the spectrum just, floating that out there

I bought Civilization 3 when it came out back in 2001 and that was the first game like that I played for HOURS on end until the expansion Civ 3 Conquests came out. It refined the gameplay and debugged from the original civ 3. It added new scenarios that added SO MUCH more depth to the game. I wpuld play The fall of Rome for HOURS on end trying to make Rome victorious when the walls were crashing in on them.
What year was this? I enjoyed this, seems old though like this couldn't happen anymore. Nice calm, quiet, slow conversation about a singular topic, not 8 ppl talking/laughing at once. This was great.
Ant played a match of AoE against the computer for Days?!!??!?! matches of AoE can't last more than a couple hours unless neither side is trying. Ant is terrible at....Ohhh wait he's drunk. Nvm.
He might've meant online shooters on consoles maybe cause aside from COD he played other FPS's too. But at the same time he, like Patrice, doesn't like the realism.
I know this comment's pretty old but I always thought the same. Especially when some guys bash games but then talk about going fishing. At least sportsball has colors and shapes moving on a screen and some people like that but staring at some ripple in a pond for hours as gnats fly in your eyeball? Yeah you got me man games are trash.
Hearing Ant talk about how consoles and TVs aren't powerful enough and don't put out games that are as in depth as PC games in 2021 is almost comical with the technology and titles we have these days
lol ant talking bullshit about console games, it just depend on the type of game you like, some games are better on console and some others are better on PC, a lot of games that are available on both platforms make adjustments to the console version controls and a lot of times ends up being better than the PC version. If you are playing online shooters where you want to use lots of shortcuts and any first person game in general PC is always better, but action RPGs like Dark Souls where you actually need good hand eye coordination and timing, a controller is usually better.
