This is a prime example of a man who is an expert in his craft. That situation was on the brink of disaster for his show, and not only did he make the hecklers look silly, he calmed another potential situation at another table, got the whole crowd back, and moved on to his next bit. I'm so glad Bill is starting to get the attention he deserves.
You should look up the Bill Burr "12 minute rant" he did on the Opie and Anthony tour. Those fuckers heckled EVERY comedian, so when he came on stage he just TORE them a new asshole, lmao!!!!! Shit was so funny that even THEY had to start laughing!!!! I fuckin loved all 12 minutes of that shit!
Scott Deaner Jr Joe Rogan yeah. Carlin and Hicks were great, but they didn't really specialise in bashing hecklers even though they were okay at it. Burr is on another level though, this is a guy who took on a crowd that just booed two comedians off the stage, ripped on them for twelve minutes then got a standing ovation.
Pravin Maraj Patton Oswalt is pretty good at it though. Bill Burr is like a fencer -- he'll slice 'em up and kick 'em aside and move on. Patton Oswalt will crush their skulls like a grape.
Sheila Johnson Because they're probably expecting a lame, quirky, mainstream-style comedian to take the stage. So when ol' Billy Redface did some actual comedy, those people got offended.

ShortFingeredShreder that might have worked as an excuse in the days before the Internet but if you're at a Bill Burr set and you don't know who Bill Burr is, that's on you. It's not like there's no way to look up this guy's act.
I love how he handled the situation. Another comedian would have lost the audience by then, but he managed to totally make light of it, control them, and get his act in also. Great work.
"Change the subject!" "What? What do you mean change the subject? It's my fuckin act I'll talk about whatever the fuck I want to talk about! Like I'm a fuckin' jukebox" hahaha this guy is awesome
I'm not saying that Burr is racist (I don't think he is.) But it is possible for a racist *misogynist* to marry a black woman without any contradiction of his values. A misogynist views his wife as property.
Carolyn Talbot agreed. You can be both. But I'm not sure why you bolded that word. Why is it relevant? Do you feel he's misogynist? Or are you saying that a racist could justify it through misogyny by saying that she is property rather than a wife?
@@carolyntalbot947 listen to his podcast, when he has his wife on with him, listen to how good their chemistry is, they love each other, clearly. Go fuck yourself with your " racist mysoginist" bullshit
He's got a lot of cred in the black community. He came up playing a lot of predominantly black clubs. Not to mention he's married to a black woman that he's been with for like 15 yrs now. His podcast is the shit.
Why do black people always think they can interrupt? It's not a discussion, or a forum - It's a comedy act.. Burr did a great job diffusing the situation.
I love Louis but I feel Bill is a man's comedian so I can relate to him easily. He doesn't worry about installing equality throughout all of his standup, he says what he thinks and I find that the most respectful. I can't honestly believe Louis believes all that he says onstage but I love his jokes.
