If those subscriber numbers are correct, then the company went from $85 million per year to $460 million per year in 1 year after signing Howard. Sounds good to me!
Howard will always be the king of all media that’s why and I am a proud subscriber I love watching his interviews with celebrity’s it gives so much insite to what Hollywood Ellen and the news protray
Howard owned O'Reilly here. He did everything right here. He never let O'Reilly take control of the conversation, and even gave examples to relate to him. Howard Stern is excellent at what he does.
Stern: "Trust me, with me it's a lock." O'Reilly: "Ok...We'll see." So smug, so condescending. Fast forward to 2018....Sirius XM has a little over 30 million subscribers. And Bill O'Reilly has a podcast. A PODCAST.
Honestly, I think part of his success is the fact that he was a pioneer, and the first to break many taboos. You hear Stern do sex jokes or bathroom humor and think "there's Stern, doing his thing. Always the rebel for decades now," On the other hand, you (meaning most people) hear some neophyte startup do the same bit, and think "wow, what a jackass. Toilet humor is fine but give it a rest."
Bill O'Reilly lasted for a very long time. I would not be surprised to see him first weasel and then claw himself back to a high profile position. Among the 'me too' guys who were pushed out because of their boorish to rapey behavior, O'Reilly's actions were quite mild.
Howard is a POS who treats his employees like shit and screws subscribers with his Long vacations.Surprised someone hasn't punched him out.O'Reilly is capable of doing that.
@@oldironsides4107 why should he keep fighting, when you can't even fight to say a dude in a wig is not a woman? lol you haven't even done anything great but you can judge? shut up and change the channel then
I can’t express how satisfying it is to watch Stern take over this interview and completely control the situation. He doesn’t give O’bigot an inch of space and just dismantled his whole agenda while simultaneously promoting himself and his newly established radio contract.
God I love how he can act smooth as anyone while completely slamming someone all the while they feel complimented. It's truly a talent that few have in his industry and he knows who and when to turn it on to in order to get what he wants out of his interviews and interviewees.
I just joined SiriusXM after the 6 mos complimentary subscription that came with my car and its all because of Howard Stern. He's the only reason. Best interviewer bar none.
God damn. I always respected Howard Stern and never knew this interview existed. He pulled the genius Bill-O arguments, beat Bill[O at his own game, while being TRUTHFUL at the same time. Well played.
I remember thinking satellite radio wasn't a good idea, but Howard was right on the money about how things were changing in the world. He was basically 10 years ahead of the game.
Love my XM radio. I’m a pizza delivery driver and need commercial free music. Don’t pay extra for Howard Stern show, but I like him and Bill Mar’s frankness
There's nobody who can out debate Howard Stern, no matter what you think of him, he is a business and marketing and entertainment genius. The best of his time.
I can out debate him in some things. Lol but I do love Howard's approach to arguments. Lol. Hes hilarious and a radio/entertainment genius. He leveled this interviewer and it was pleasant to watch. Can you believe that its been 10 years since you commented. Time flies by.
I never really followed Stern but I gotta say, seeing O’reilly, the automaton, get ruled over on point after point of his aggressive leads & then called a wise-ass on his own overinflated home court advantage, was completely refreshing. Stern owned this interview over this bag of laundry, just as much as Stewart did on a number of debates with him.
What a man Howard Stern is. So simple yet so censored it's crazy. The world need a freespeeking DJ , so u go ahead n do ur thing Howard "Fartman"Stern the world needs you, A Brother from Ireland here reporting 🇮🇪🇮🇪 Any words available available with Irish attitude brought to the show, please Let's hooks n see what we can do yeah. SLĀN ABHAILE Howard.. xxx
Howard is pure genius. As flamboyant as he is, his authentic genius was shown in his live coverage of the 9/11 tragedy. He was better, smarter, more real than any network or cable news show. He became a no nonsense, straight forward radio man in an instant.
The majority of Stern's compensation was in the form of convertible Sirius stock options. The $500m number was assuming all of the stock options were exercised. However, the stock is worth less now than when he signed the deal, and most of the options are worthless. He still got a big chunk of cash, but he isn't lying when he says it is "nowhere near" 500m.
I LOVE the way his hair drips onto his face. those little coils work perfectly over his sunglasses. I can't believe how talented Howard is. cutting edge !!!!!
Because he works for Fox, which is really the only reason why they bring people they don't like or agree with on their shows. Fox is a Republican station that caters to doing one thing, pleasing the corporate sponsors by misrepresenting Liberal facts and attacking guests in unnecessary ways, all the while claiming to be "Fair & Balanced".
Howard Stern isn't exactly one of my favorite folks (not that I have anything against him), but I can't help but root for the guy when he's arguing with Bill.
Whether you're a fan or not of Howard, he is captivating to listen to. He has that "it" factor to command your attention. I've watched a lot of his content and he is very conceited in this video which is surprising. He's basically talking like "I'm the fucking man" the whole time.
He has to or else O'Reilly will dominate, since his personality is similar. Stern is very calculated. He press releases his incredible salary but also downplays it by saying he's not getting all of it.
I've seen these comments so many times it's nauseating. Do you really think, in this PC world today they would let even HALF of the old raunchy material on the air? Were the people saying this not listening to what Howard was saying? They're physically not allowing that type of material on the air anymore. Not even on XM radio.
Look up the huge mansion he bought in Palm Beach, FL. 20,000 sqr feet for 2 people. It's his money and he earned it, so he can do as he pleases. But don't go out there putting on a sub par show which has gone totally downhill and pretend like you're one of the "people."
Andrew Esposito People have been saying his show is going downhill since it started, and now you're in that club. You isn't by any chance a bit jealous (Ali G quote)!
Stern has always talked about the “human condition” ...defication, sexuality, attraction, humility, etc... very relatable stuff ...especially to the masses.
God for such an American enthusiast, Bill's got no concept of free speech. It's the fucking principle that Howard's fighting for. All Bill focused on was the cursing and toilet humor, but it's not about that. It's about the first amendment right.
Stern was the only reason I started watching "America's Got talent" . And when he left so did I. How can you be one of America's top ten hated people in America and still be the voice of reason? Talent!
This is why I love Stern. He's the only guy who can put O'Reilly in his place because not even Bill O'Reilly can match the voluminous ego that is Howard Stern.
Howard is such a self assured Badass...many people don't like him, but he was DEAD ON in this interview...everything he said in this interview happened...and by the way...O'Reilly got SHIT CANNED!!...incredible...
I love how Howard gets all mad at "What are you gonna do, curse every two minutes?" And what the hell does he mean "You know better than that", that's EXACTLY what Howard does! Not that I have a problem with the cursing, mind you, but why did he feel the need to lie about it? And oh no, don't anybody ELSE be a wise-ass! Only Howard's allowed to do that. Huh. I like to see people put him under pressure. He almost always cracks!
***** Oh, c'mon Sob Baget (clever, BTW), no "interview" with Bill O'Reilly is a real interview, you know that. He certainly should've known it too, yet he still let Bill get to him.
