He’s maintained a pretty consistent look, i’ll give him that. Considering he’s 50ish, he’s doing pretty good. If anything, he’s gotten a little pudgier, but that’s about it.
*Awwwwwwww... so all rockers are the exact same person! I didn't know that. I thought they were all unique! Some of them having NO INTEREST in having children (like Serj and Billie - their children are C.G.I. [FAKE]).*
My Brother and I played in a Band with our Dad. I played guitar or drums...whatever he needed, and my Brother played bass. Dad passed a few years ago...but me and my Brother are still jamming. I miss playing music with Dad. We had great vocal harmonies together.
With absolutely no offense to his sons, who are air tight, it's amazing how much work Billie Joe is doing all by himself to make this sound like a unique cover. Both the guitar lines and vocals are just distinctly Billy Joe. When you see him live or in a studio recording it's not clear how much Billy Joe is really doing versus the backing guitarist or over-dubs. Nope, he really does sound like that. Dope.
A three-piece is a really amazing band configuration. It really lets the "voice" of each of the three pieces come through because things are so simple and uncluttered.
@@dynaboyjl.4220 idk i could be wrong but hes always looked the same for the most part. but its possible hes had some cosmetic work done. i dont think he did but thats just my opinion lol either way the dude looks 25 years younger then he really is
I remember reading an article in Rolling Stones magazine when I was in high school where they interviewed him and he was talking about getting ready for the birth of his first child. So yeah... right there with you.
This has to be one of Billie Joe’s greatest live recording performances of all time and it’s even more awesome that he got to experience this with his sons who almost look identical to him and the fact that he almost never ages makes me think “dang this guy is never going to get old lmao”
I really can not imagine having a rockstar dad. I guess it just seems normal to them bc they live it every day & dont know anything else. But imagination is like Billie: f the gov! Kids: dude, cant you just like conform every once in a while? Billie: pshh normies. _writes song about rebellion_ Kids complaining: moooooom? He colored the dog crazy zebra colors again.
We've come along way Billie... From sitting in Shauna's front room tripping on acid over 25years ago, watching a Green Day video on MTV, with the colors tripping me out perfectly... Before we had children... And now you r doing this! U r the Man. We've all lost so many great musicians along the way, but u have done it right brother. I love u for what u have given this world.... And I heard that u r God's favorite band.. true story
Thats gotta be so insane to have kids a d be a rockstar. Id be a freaking mess. But like many smart parents, hes gotten his kids into the craft. What a wonderful dad. I cant wait to have kids and jam with them for fun.
Billy is so down to earth for doing this. Not only is he teaching his kids music, but he lets them experience what it’s like to be a rockstar by playing live. So dope.
??? whaT iM NOT 53 AND my son is 23,, WHERE DID THE TIME GO ???? DAMMMM I had to look it up .... 26 years ago ""DOOKIE "" Feb 1st 1994 @#$#@$@#$$$ i was working 2 full time jobs from jan 94 till sept 97 ...
Billie looks like that annoying little brother that wants to jam with his older brothers, and they're like fine, "I guess we can put up with your shit for 5 minutes because mom said so."
My head can't process this. My dad is a quiet accountant who parts his hair, wears bright white New Balance sneakers, and idea of a good time is reading the technology deals that come out each week from Fry's Electronics.
I can imagine their friends coming over, seeing Billie Joe Armstrong and saying “oh I didn’t know you had a third brother, does he go to a different school?”
@@nehemiahzo_ wtf are you talking about, that is not true in any way. Green Day just sounds like dated 90s pop punk, how is that to close to any of the 70s punk acts or even the late 60s proto-punk stuff
for anyone interested, Joey, on the drums, plays for the band SWMRS, and Jakob fronts the band ultraq (used to be called mt eddy.) both have super great music out if any of you guys are interested in some current day punk!
LOL No your NOT LOL My kids did that crap to me when I wanted to jam with them back when they were in High School (When American Idiot was released) nearly COUGH COUGH 16 years ago o-O
I'm not sure if Joey or Jakob when to Public Schools, but imagine being friends with Joey or Jakob and getting to go to their house parties with Billie
I started watching and 30 seconds in I wanted to exit full screen to like the video. And then I realized, “NO! This is AWESOME!” Seeing Billie Joe rocking with his kids was all I wanted to to for that 3 and a half minutes. Thank you
you do know both of his kids are grown and out of the house right? lol. one is 23 and one is 25, both have their own bands, one with a major label record deal
One day Billie Joe's going to walk in on his kid singing "Mom and Dad don't look so hot these days They're getting over the hill Death is closing in and catching up As far as I can tell Got a plan of action and cold blood And it smells of defiance I'll just wait for Mom and Dad to die And get my inheritance" And Billie's going to be like "damn I should never had written that song"
Funny how Billie actually said something about that in an 1995 interview titled as: "Green Day (full stoned interview)" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_o25_Mjsw_I.html after minute 4
@@melissamacias3715 Ha that's awesome! Thanks for the link. Crazy I was 15 when that interview took place. Greenday was blowing up when I was in middle school and the Basketcase music video was the spark that got me to buy my first drum kit. Good times.
@@Derek_1111 That's so cool you were already a teenager! I was exactly 1 year old at that time, the interview date says August 10th. And I was born on 08/10/94 🤭
You know how parents will yell at their kids to turn down their music late at night? I feel like it would be the opposite way with Billy's family. Like, either he's telling his kids to turn the music up, or his kids are telling him to turn the music down.
In all seriousness, do you really think it’s a wig? How do you think so? Because onstage when he’s sweating and running around and running his hands through his hair there doesn’t seem to be any sign that it’s artificial. Unless he has a REALLY GOOD hair transplant guy. Unless since this was during COVID peak times and his hair doctor was unable to get to him and he slapped on a wig for this performance.
Billie: "Hey guys, we gonna audition for that gig this weekend at Eli's?" Kids: "C'mon Dad, stop messing around. You know you gotta be 18 and older to get in."
