He and Billy were at some live event where Todd was in the Activision booth demoing the game where he got that score. Do I agree it should be taken down? Yes. It was a prototype, not an officially released cartridge. But cheated?….

What bothers me about this case is that " Twin Galaxies " admits they got basically tricked by Billy for years : Often times the PCB in the machines were sent to be checked and certified ! And many other procedures. Except for the red joystick ( thanks to a secret picture ) it would be hard to prove that Billy cheated on other occasions if Twin Galaxies approved the scores in the first place and without any other footage or picture from so many years to demonstrate a fraud... In that case, Twin Galaxies can only blame themselves not seeing Billy's tricks at the time and they should have not be allowed to unrank Billy's scores on that matter.

@@jemlesvideo Twin Galaxies was under the leadership of Walter Day. He was a Billy sycophant for decades. Walter profited from Billy's name so it paid to be Billy's yes man. I would not blame that on the current owners of TG.

Then I saw him duplicate the scores, and that’s when a switch went off in my head and realized somethings not adding up. That’s when I start asking questions to Billy’s. Just to see what they would say, and they wouldn’t answer or question the people they got this information from. And that’s when I realized these people don’t want answers. They want confirmation bias.

That he shouldn’t have been playing up the heel character for clicks and views, and he should have gone straight to duplicating them. As it for it being pointless…no it was the right thing to do. Cuz documentation at the time was not at where it is now. Without it, it becomes a giant he said she said, and we can’t prove either side. What can be proved is if he can do it again. Which he did do.

People who say he redid them live forget a key peice of logic: a person who can actually compete and have the world record legitimately literally has no reason to cheat and every reason not to. Not to mention what that says about him as a person. The fact that he is a cheater and did so with that exact score and playthrough is what the fight was over. The fact that he has improved, like that's nice, but he still falls short of the world record. It changes you know? You have to do it during the current state of competition and beat the current high score at THAT time.

This has always been mudslinging, and it kept up because Billy isn’t really a likable individual. The truth is he DID go out and repeat the scores live, so really what’s the argument in the end? “Influencer” dorks will perpetuate lame shit until the day their worthless lives end, and this is a prime example of taking nothing, getting called out, and then moving the goalposts to keep their view counts up. In the end, a complete waste of everyone’s time.

What you've said is nonsense. Take any other game, any mario game for example, let's say you held an early record for Super Mario 1 at 5 minutes flat, then years later you're exposed for splicing. So you decide to redo your run in 2024 and get 5 minutes legitimately. Although still moderately impressive It means nothing! There are new strats and techniques and a greater understanding of the game right down to the code. Top players could get 5 minutes practically blindfolded. Same with DK someone getting a million wouldn't even make it to the filler pages of even the most obscure gaming website.

This argument has already been debunked. Billy used a completely different strategy than what he used before so there's really no proof that he could do it using his old strategy. Also, no one moved the goalposts because no one said that him being able to do the scores again would prove his innocence. This is just something that Billy made up.
