I went through the same thing. She's not alone. I ended up retiring at 28 because of the same disorder. I'll be 40 next year, and they've just finally found a medication that's actually working the way you'd think they should. The bedding you got her is pretty. Thanks for being there for folks like us, Auri. 💕

This is a tough disorder to deal with. My X- Hus had this. We found out five yrs. into our marriage/in 1985. He did not take this well, In fact, he refuse to help himself/no medication. He became an insist alcoholic and gained 30 pounds all within 3 months. Disagreeable is putting it lightly. I, wasn't happy with his ignoring his problems, but I was happy knowing what the yeck was wrong with him. Coming home, night after night, mostly in a bad mood, taking everything out on me, you did this, you did that, I don't like you're cooking/ which he loved. I would described as bouncing off the walls. Soooo, A.D. We tried high doses of Calcium, every day. as prescribed by my vitamin counselor, remembering he was heavy weight, 200pds and 5' 9". It worked. But, he didn't want to continue. Why, he is my X-hus. I'm taking them, and feel much better, I'm 75. Thk yu.. 😀😀

Part time work and/or short contracts helped me to know there isn’t the pressure of having to be in work all the time, or to stay in a job for years etc, if I am not well. I didn’t believe there were understanding employers out there, but I was surprised once I started to be honest! Good luck 🤞

There are so few jobs that would understand, a fewer that would "chance" taking someone like us in. But to the public we're "lazy" and we need to just "get over it". They don't really understand the treatments and length and mental fire jumps we have to go through just to get out of bed in the morning, or night. Then when you try to apply for government benefits, things you paid taxes into for most of your life, people say you're "living off the government" while the government says "You have legs, you can work". I just.. can't with this country anymore. But I'm too poor to leave. I know other countries can be bad too, but others are *better* than here. America just doesn't care about it's people unless they're stacked with cash. God forbid you stray off the white straight rich man path. -_-; Sorry, ranting.. What I meant to say is, I understand you on a painfully personal level.

@@corinaseifert4246 Try a bit of liquid laundry detergent in the water instead! Dishwashing liquid/soap is made to lather a lot because customers like that, it's easier to see where you have used it already and it doesn't run off the dishes too fast, but if you can't rinse it off like the dishes it often leaves streaks or residue. The cleaning products for the washing machine or dishwasher are made to *not* lather, since that is not useful inside the machine, this is perfect when doing windows, mirrors or other shiny things :)

it's sadly not this case in every european country, some are only partially wet rooms, but this style is super practical with the drain in the floors and the washable walls, so so good, I don't know why the rest of the world doesn't design their bathrooms like this. And if you think about it, kitchens could use a similar design as well, like big industrial kitchens (for example in hospitals or big universities) have drains in the floor too, so the cleaning is much more efficient and comfortable. If possible and with the permission, I want to design my own home with a bathroom and kitchen like this. Bipolar disorder is such a terrible disease. It has the highest suicide rate among them all and it's both hard to diagnose and hard to treat, trying to find the right medications who are often very heavy and cause severe apathy. The bipolar patient very often give up treatment either because it's on a manic episode, feeling invincible or because the meds aren't working as they should, only causing colateral effects. Hi Auri, thank you for cleaning the home of this lady. Really good job! I always see in your videos that most of the people really need a new mattress. A clean new mattress is so important for health reasons. Would you consider to set up a fund where we as followers can donate money which you can spend on things that really need to be renewed for health reasons in the homes you clean? It also sad to see that many of these people have money issues, so they probably cant afford these kind of changes. It would also be lovely to give them a new bank, mattress or new fridge. Or just a new rug and some decorations to beutify their home. Hope you will consider this idea. I would love to donate to such a great idea.

I've been sick for about a month now - first Covid, then an ear infection. I've had to take very strong anti-biotics for the ears and it makes me nauseated on each dose. I have had little to no energy, and in just that short amount of time I feel like my house went from clean to cluttered and dingy. Not filthy (yet) but if I kept going this way it would be in no time. It's scary how quickly it can all happen. I think the difference is that I would try to find help if it got too bad because I wouldn't be able to stand any dirt/grime. I focus on washing up my dishes and scrubbing out the toilet, and I've let the dust and surfaces go. I can't wait to get my energy back so I can do a deep clean! (Meds end this week!) I feel for people for whom this is not temporary. I hope she is able to keep up on it!

My heart goes out to Emma but there has to be something else for her... I use to be told I might be bipolar and acted pretty much the same way. FINALLY, after years of no anti depressant working I found the greatest doctor EVER. Instead of just randomly diagnosing me with A B C... I was referred to a psychiatrist. It happened to fall on a day when I was having one of my episodes. Instead of being a 'business' and rescheduling and telling me (i'm not worth it) by doing that - that cant literally make a person feel worse being treated as a statistic. The Nurse/receptionist asked me if there was anything she could do to help me get past my block and if I was able to video conference on my phone. NOT in 30+ years has ANYONE ever been so kind to me in a professional field. I burst into tears and we sorted it out for me to stay at home and have my appointment. This wonderful psychiartrist diagnosed me with CPTSD from being a victim of multiple crimes that went untreated and not talked about all my life. He said I had NO quality of life like normal functioning people and I deserve that. There was NO talk of heavy medicating me to make it worse (quality) instead I was referred to my States Crime Services to get specialised trauma counselling. This is special training and not every psychiatrist, doctor, counsellor or psychologist is QUALIFIED in this field. They must have the qualifications to give therapy. I feel Emma needs something like this... it's all great that her episodes are uncontrol.. but 40+ years of no quality is not a way to have lived your life. It broke my heart when I realised this about myself (i've lived and fight or flight mode all my life - can't keep friends, relationships or a job). I really hope Emma finds someone who can truly help her. I've been in therapy 6 months now and many more years to come, but it IS changing my life and I'm less 'fight or flight' now because I understand. Hugs EMMA

I've been diagnosed schizoaffective. It can be difficult to maintain grooming and homecare sometimes. I'm glad to see you do this service for free to those who couldn't afford to pay. In my country, it's not a free service to have a professional cleaner your home. If you can't afford to pay, it falls next of kin or caregivers when you're too sick to clean yourself. Which can be a strain on mental and physical health of loved ones.

It really strikes me how the different types of Bipolar affect people differently. I am Bipolar 1 and often swing to mania even with Lithium and Seroquel, which for me partly manifests in an type of OCD where my house is incredibly clean and organised to the point of everything has to match in style, colour and brand for items both hidden and visible (not expensive, although I have "had" to replace everything during mania swings), and it really hurts my heart to see it manifest in other people this way, because I know without doubt it's beyond their control even though it's hurting them.

When you have all three coming at you, both BPD's and Major Depression, you're just kinda like... unsure if you're even you anymore. When I shouldn't be depressed, I am. When I have a chance to not have six different personality disorder issues come out, they do. When my mania pops in for a quick hello, I'm on the floor crying. I spend my days fighting off the weasels in my brain telling me there's no point in living. My logic never suffered, you know? I *know* I'm better than this. So.. watching these videos, not just hers but everybody who does hoarder cleaning or helper cleaning? They help me a little. They at least help me get off the couch and clean off the coffee table, and that helps me maybe eat something other than a protein shake. It's hard, especially with how the world is acting right now. My country specifically, since.. you know.. I live here. It's always worse when you're in the middle of it, you know? But other people have it worse, and I want to remind myself, I do have people who care and I am a somewhat capable human. So maybe do the laundry, at least a load. Ranting again.. Yes, things are hard to treat. But I'm in a better place than I was when that treatment started. It's going to be a long time before I feel any kind of "normal" though. I just have to make sure I'm here to give it a chance.
