@@dustygania2425 so you're kinda obsessed with hate watching a trans guys channel... multiple comments on every one of his videos, huh? You haven't missed a video of his in forever... the algorithm thinks you are his biggest fan. 🤡
@@ambereagleswood1429 well I have a theory that dusty is in love with Jamie but don't know how to show it. The reason for this theory is that this is Dusty's 7th account and he has been going on since 2019
To explain the Hades joke- The main character you play as is very bisexual and can romance male and female characters. Also everyone in the game is hot.
@@dustygania2425 He is attracted to both men and women. Misgender him all you want, whatever gender he possibly could be he'd still be bi. It's not like there's an exam you have to pass or a licence you can lose, like how you can lose your membership in the GOP of you're ever caught telling the truth in public.
It's alright Jamie! I always miss all my awareness weeks (bi, ace, trans). I think it's a queer thing. We just vibe, not knowing anything other than that we are gorgeous and worthy in the moment. ✨️
I'm a woman in a het marriage just discovering my bi-ness. Not only does it not go away, it can bloom any time apparently. My husband shrugged when I told him. "Does it count if you've never kissed a girl?" I've decided that it does count.
@@lawrence208 it's a person who is attracted to two or more genders, for example: If a man is attracted to another man, but has previously been attracted to a woman, or vice versa, he is bisexual.
@@lawrence208 Every transphobe's favorite pedophile, and the originator of your "Ask dumbass questions and refuse to accept any answers until people stop talking to you and you can declare victory" mode of pseudo-debating. He's also the future star of "Extreme Makeover: Maximum Security Block Edition."
I was in high school and coming to terms with my bisexuality when that Newsweek article came out! My family didn’t have a computer and it was pre most internet. I remember hiding in my school library with a copy and I was like OMG what I feel is an actual thing!
I wish I'd seen the article. I was raised in a super conservative area and didn't know how to understand why I found girls as attractive as boys. Young me could have really benefited from not feeling alone. Old me is doing good though :D
While I don't play Hades _because_ I'm bisexual and playing Hades didn't _make_ me bisexual I definitely feel that _being_ bisexual enhances my enjoyment. And given that the protagonist is bisexual (well, some form of poly sexual) and everyone in the game looks so good it would not surprise me if playing Hades was someone's bisexual awakening.
I'm a woman and just got married to a man. We're both still bi/pan and still talk about cute people, no matter their gender. And yes Jamie, Hades is very good and you should play it.
"confusion is my natural state" Never has a more bi thing been said. Edit: not saying bisexuality is just confusion I mean I'm constantly confused by my biness.
I recently came out as Bi. i always thought i was straight, because i prefer woman sexually. but i often caught myself staring and fantasising about men. i always played it off as me just appreciating another mans body in a Hetrobro way. but nope, I have crushed on men, even though i would not want to take one to the bedroom. i'd settle for nice hug on the couch though.
Yeah, I thought I was straight. I was married to a man for 18 years. I've definitely checked out women, somehow not realizing that's not hetero... It took me almost 49 years to figure out I'm bi. 🤷♀
Similar here. Been married to a man for years, but I started thinking about all the times I had crushes on girls/women. I think I’m demisexual, so it’s been a while since I had a crush on another woman (harder to make friends as an adult. I haven’t had crushes on any guys in ages either) but it’s definitely happened in the past. I grew up very religious and I think I just wasn’t allowed to consider the possibility because my parents were fine with me having gay/bi friends but would not have been okay with me being anything other than cishet. (Imagine if they knew my husband and I are atheist and our kid is bi and enby, lol)
Hades is an amazing game with wondeful characters, amazing portrayal of relationships (familial, romantical, friendships and etc), and a spectacular story. If playing the game is not to your liking, i highly recommend listening to the songs or some voice lines, as the voice actos are divine Oh, and the visuals are very good
@@waytoobiased there is an option for god mode, but yeah, it can be challenging Front-facing (adjective, not a verb) Than makes everything worth it though
What's weird is that I HAD and KEPT that Newsweek because it was my first exposure to Bisexual as a word (as well as the existence of Rent) XD I still have it. So crazy.
I'm sad to report the Newsweek cover/article is totally real. I remember sneaking into my college library to read it . . . came out as bi within 2-3 months after!
I did really like these, especially the validation for those of us who have never had a relationship. I am 36 years old, but have had major health issues since I was 12. I just wasn't really physically or mentally well enough to give relationships much thought, and I might be a little demi too. I only began to ask myself questions about my identity in the last few years, and realized I am bi. My family is religious, and my mom is being loving, but doesn't really understand. That question of being "untested" kind of looms overhead. Very much appreciate reminders that I don't have anything to approve. Love watching you, and your videos have been a helpful part of me understanding my identity, so thank you!
@@Cherrycreamsoda1 @Cherry Cola thank you for sharing. It is funny how I never questioned if I was straight just because I never dated, but maybe I should have. I had had "crushes", but was never "boy crazy", as those around me would say, like my friends. It wasn't until recently that I actually found someone I was really attracted to. I had found lots of people aesthetically attractive, so just assumed it was what everyone felt when they discussed crushes. Circumstances may affect how we act, but it doesn't change our orientation. Good luck and love back to you! ❤
@@Peridact Well, at a maximum of five bi's a second, the most be could say in ten minutes, nineteen seconds is three thousand ninety five, and that IS less than a billion.
@@dustygania2425 well... considering he is a man... in a relationship with a woman.. while also having attraction to men... then yes I have to state that he seems to be the very definition of bisexual... also has bi vibes
Pride counselling and the company that owns them Betterhelp have been having issues with rightwing religious people signing up as counselors and basically harassing vulnerable people. Just a heads up for anyone, just do your research before you use a service where you have to make yourself vulnerable and trusting. Stay safe out there
@@DystopianOverture I thought that was the case but couldn't remember sources so that's why I was less specific. I was worried someone would misread my concerns as, like, an attack on Jamie which I would never.
Kinda funny how much bi & ace people have in common, we’re both invisible & misunderstood. I’m ace & when I was having dinner with a friend, I told her about a girl I want to ask out & she pointed to my ace ring & was like “so you’re going against that now?” & I was like, “no, I’m still ace, I’m not sexually attracted to her, I’m attracted to her personality!” I then had to explain the difference between romantic & sexual attraction. I’m pan romantic which creates so much confusion among people who don’t get it. I was talking with a friend of mine while playing Fall Guys & they were so confused when I made silly jokes like my whole relationship thing with Big Yeetus, went through this whole thing where we were married & divorced but I still relied on it to launch me. They said “kinda weird how you’re ace & was in a pretend relationship with a hammer since you don’t date.” I then told them about my romantic preferences & they were so confused, stating that they thought ace meant I don’t date at all.
The Newsweek article is real. And the article is also wild. Here's an excerpt: "bisexuality lurks as a rupture in the social structure, conjuring fears of promiscuity, secret lives and instability. It can make the knotty issues of human relationships--jealousy, fidelity, finances, parental roles, custody-even more complex."
I simply cannot understand why people think you can't be bi just because you're monogamous; that's apples and oranges. Bi is about who you're sexually attracted to; monogamy is about who you choose to share your life with. I didn't stop being attracted to lots of different men just because I married one of them, so why on earth would a bi person stop being attracted to different men and women just because they've made a commitment to one of them? And I'm as straight as they come, but it's still as plain as day to me that how much you're attracted to opposite and same sexes is not an either/or question, but just as much a spectrum as gender!
Hey Jaimie!!! Thank you so much for all you do, thanks to you I realised that I was trans - I am taking my next big step now which is speaking to my G.P about potentially getting HRT/ puberty blockers when I am older. Realising that I am Trans was such a weight off my shoulders and even though it has been tough at school due to it, I am so much happier being out, so thank you!!!!
Hades is a Game of Rogue like Genre. Now the Main Character Zagreus is son of Hades and he has Male love interests and Female Love interests. Zagreus can end up in Poly Bi relationship with both of them if you want that for Zagreus.
Thank yoooooooou!!!!! I am thoroughly bi despite never having had a relationship with another woman. I am a cis woman married to a cis man. My mother has mentioned a few times since about how I'm straight now. Every time I've had to remind her that that's not how it works. I'm not looking to start up a relationship with a woman since I'm happily married, but that doesn't erase my sexual orientation.
Gotta love all the visibility day/week jokes in these things! Ace visibility week just passed, and I decided to celebrate the only way I know how: roll all my steal checks in my D&D campaign with disadvantage. As someone playing a rogue, this caused some problems, but it was worth it 😂
you don't lose bi points for not knowing hades, but you'd definitely feel the bi energy coming from it. nothing more relatable than simping for every character in that game tbh
I have this feeling that "pansexual" came about as an identity due to the stigma of "being a cheater" attached to the word "bisexual", as well as the constant misuse of "bisexual" as a stepping-stone by gay men and lesbians who were scared of not being hetero but could no longer live in denial of their same-sex attraction.
06:57 I looked it up; it is real 💀The article is kind of hilarious; imo it accurately portrays some aspects of bisexuality, but it gets other parts so wrong lmao (namely, that it portrays bisexuality in a very sex-oriented way, and as almost always having a polyamorous element).
This is for Jamie and anyone else who may not be clear on it. There's a Bisexual Visibility/Awareness Month, Week and Day. September is the month for bisexuals. From the 16th to the 23rd is Bisexual Awareness Week and that ends with Bi Visibility Day on the 23rd. Because of this, September is basically Bisexual Visibility/Awareness Month. ☺🤣
That's awesome, because my birthday is in September. It's a little sad that it's right before Bi awareness week, but still cool that it's in September.
Hi fellow trans guy! If you need this today, you are valid and (insert comfortable compliment) you are loved and valued and if people don’t support who you are then leave them behind! You can do this!
8:37 I got really into iced coffee a few years ago, then found out it was supposedly a gay stereotype, and I just laughed and went "I just like cold coffee and _happen_ to be gay; I'm not gay because of the coffee, or vice versa!" 9:23 Who you are and how you identify is not determined by who you're with!
Thank you Jamie for bringing me two great happinesses through your content- one being that I (somewhat ironically) finally realised I was neither gay nor bi and in fact straight; and finally getting to that answer was so uplifting! The other is that I admired how nice your rings always look and got over my insecurity of "rings don't look good on me", said fk it, and bought one I really liked. Small things I know but they mean a lot to me
Some bisexual fun facts (about me personally): *I'm almost 51 years old and I only realized my bisexuality 2 years ago *I was married to a man for 18 years *I've never dated a woman, nor do I plan to (let's leave that one for a therapist to unpack, trust me) *really, I'd like to be married to a man again, but the right one this time *I can be attracted to guys, gals, and non-binary pals *cis or trans, I really don't care either way * my own life experience tells me that folks who think sexuality is a choice are likely attracted to multiple genders and made a choice there *Whoever you are, whoever you are attracted to, YOU ARE VALID!* 🙏💗💜💙
I remember when a (now former) coworker was telling us that her daughter had come out as bi, but she didn't understand what that meant. We were trying to explain it to her (English wasn't her first language), and told her that her daughter might come home with a boyfriend, or a girlfriend, or both. Her response was "She can't do that, it's not okay to date two people at once."
Jamie- we also have a whole month dedicated to Bisexual Health Month! Unfortunately, this is because we have loads of health disparities and they are completely ignored, but... Yay for a whole month! lol
You're on the verge of tears over a guy referring to his literal wife as his wife... That happens millions of times every single day all over the world, it's just normal. Why would that make you emotional? Hope you're OK.
as a pan trans girl... i think i needed this video, i mean, im just recently finding out that i also like girls... and it felt weird at first after thinking for so many years that i liked boys only... but that made me realize that there is no pan thrashhold and im pan all the same
I've got a genius merch idea so you know that octopus you had at the start, those but in the shapes of potatoes and you could even do different pride colors
A recent bittersweet bi moment: Kit Connor being forced to come out as bi because so many people were saying that him playing a queer character without disclosing his label to the public was "queerbaiting"
Yea The whole meaning of heartstopper was AGAINST THIS We need to get more support for that amazing piece of a human being I thought Jamie could make a video about this
I would point out that the LGBTQIA+ community actually gets two months. June is Pride Month, and October is LGBTQIA+ History Month, which is also when the International Day of Coming out falls. Two down, ten to go, we're coming for the rest of your months! And the rest of the alphabet too.
Hades is soooo good, please, if anyone likes hackin slash games, give it a try, it's great. also we have all flavours of queer in the game even my favourite aroace fluctuating head
my friends and I actually do wish each other happy bi day/week by saying stuff like "enjoy that one day when we cannot rob a bank" lol also, I strongly recommend Pride Counseling, awesome platform 🥰
I actually was straight, but now I'm gay, i considered myself pansexual a couple of (long periods of) times as well, like sexuality can changed constantly.
The fingerguns meme is so me 🤣 This sounds like a fun challenge: Do the fingerguns at someone and see if they get it (or even do them back!) :D 🌈 Also about new words for your vocabulary: I recently came across the word "rainbow hearts" in a podcast and I find it insanely cute 😍 My little rainbow heart is happy :)
