LOL Col, set up was a little high TBH, but it was fine and I had a fantastic misty view in the morning. I do like a bivvy camp, deffo my fave. Got shot, bled to death through a small cut to my lip from a branch injury... choked to death on a dinosaur, and got peppered with flint as the previous campers decided to line the firepit with them!! W4NKERS

HEY Harry 👋 that system isn't that light too be fair, the bivvy is around 750g & the tarp is around 1KG then all the other items on top, a 1.5kg tent would be lighter but I love looking out and around in the morning, something you can't do easily in a tent. Lee

@@BurtonOutdoors For sure mate, it's been said that if you dont laugh, you cry. I knew an army seagrent once that had his stripes tattooed on his old fella ........apparently because he loved to pull rank, ...........that's one to laugh..... and cry. Will is dangerous man, lol, dont mind a slingshot or shanghai myself, but yep watch out for the ricochets to body and camera. I am aware it can be a challenge to find a spot, or get permissions over there, (increasingly, not all that different here btw), but when you do it's pretty condusive to a range of set ups and in turn a good camp. Glad you got the pistol joke, though its better verbally I reckon.

Will carries 5L of water too!! Those booties are a game changer Alan, so warm, I sleep cold, even in summer I wear gloves!! It was freezing that night until we lit the fire 🔥 🤪

Shout out funky pepper 🤣🤣 I also smacked my lip on a branch and it bled for hours...some tit decided it was a good idea to line the fire pit with flint!! So I took a bit of shrapnel to the head and neck... Will took some to his body, and his cup of tea 🤣🤣 It was a fun camp, its all about the laughs on my camps not the views 😄

Zero slippage, it was very comfy actually, just blow your pillow up with slightly less air I'd say, I normally put my arm under my pillow to try to hold it on the mat, but spend all night putting it back in place. Worked a treat and deffo slept longer without waking up. The bonus also is if it gets cold you've got a spare top to wear if needed 👍

Hi Dave, mate that bug was deffo the stink bug...!! Massive. I do like a bivvy camp, just love waking up and being able to look around. The pillow is a nature hike one, had it years, I think they still do it, I'll find a link. That branch didn't look as big on camera... it was huge, would certainly kill you. Lee

The elephant mat is great, a bit heavy compared to other cheap groundsheets but it's long enough and wide enough for any purpose really. The pump is noisey but save my poor battered old lungs 🫁

Hey Warren, there's loads of them, I was reliably informed by my guide that's what they are, I've seen many on Ashdown Forest and I know what they look like so I concur with the information. Its a fantastic woodland and only really camped in 1% of it. Thanks for watching 👀
