I've watched several live versions of this song, and all of them appear to have the sound engineer guys tenderly caressing each other, like it's officially part of the performance. I LOVE this and think it fits perfectly, and I'd love to know the story behind it.

He´s not caressing, he´s making music , and the end of the song you can see that the guy " caressing" has a little micro in his hand.......she needs the sound that it make wenn he goes trough his hair and his knit shirt :)

They're Matmos, band of alternative electronic music, and they are also a couple. Have been together for God only knows how long, I'd assume since they started the band. And they are catching the sounds of static and adding it into the music. :)

Yeah, she's the cutest thing when describing the discomfort of low air pressure on flights with her struggling English, but all is forgiven by the fact that she's one of the greatest artists in the past 100 years or longer! I checked out your YT homepage...you know exactly what I'm talking about.

she's talking about planes causing varicas veins in legs which can take a long time to recover from,sometimes they never go away.the air pressure causes blood molecules/veins to contract (go tiny) which can cause major discomfort and sometimes permanent damage.

Well, as a person learning english as a second language i can help you to riddle this thing out. There could be no "purpose" when it comes to accents. :-( You catch an accent automatically after a long time hearing it. When i listen long to american speach my accent becomes more american-like, when i hang on bbc-radio, i get more british sounding. Once i were deeply into spanish. And... omg, it effected the way i speak english!.. Amazing thing!..

nah she actually was living in the UK at the time. If you look at interviews from before she got big she has the icelandic accent again. Her accent seems to change depending on where she's living at the time. If anything she was putting on the UK accent.

¿A la canción?, ¿ a la entrevista? Cocoon: Trata sobre una chica viviendo un romance que le pilla por sorpresa. La letra incluye situaciones de sexo explícito contadas eufemística y metafóricamente. El videoclip: En el vídeo aparece Björk haciendo un "desnudo digital" y desde sus senos empiezan a surgir unos hilos rojos que van fluyendo hasta rodear por completo a Björk y convertirla en una crisálida (Cocoon en inglés). La entrevista puedes conseguirla subtitulada al español, por si no le entiendes.
