Quieter than the vacuum ... Louder than the light What melts away come break of day shines brightly in the night More subtle than the simple ... More obvious than might With all bridges burned away alas we do what's right Thanks and praise ! )o( shifting tides
björk : surrounded Hello Bjork, we miss you!!! To this day your music is so maxing you me . I’ve like you since at least 1997. 🥰 sending love. More more !
@@mjrmalfunction Interesting....I was at work looking for something new....and I was on Rolling Stone's website and they had an article on her...I had heard of her but never heard her....so I looked up her first album to try and I liked it . Now I am a big fan....enjoy
One breath away From Mother Oceania Your nimble feet make prints In my sand You have done Good for yourselves Since you left my wet embrace And crawled ashore Every boy is a snake is a lily Every pearl is a lynx is a girl Sweet like harmony Made into flesh You dance by my side Children sublime You show me continents I see the islands You count the centuries I blink my eyes Hawks and sparrows Race in my waters Stingrays are floating Across the sky Little ones My sons and my daughters Your sweat is salty, I am why I am why I am why Your sweat is salty, I am why I am why I am why
@@eduardochavacano lol what are you even talking about. The original comment was a positive comment, then people like you bring negativity into everything. Just chill :) No need to be so mad.
I have never been a fan of Bjork, I’ve known of her existence but never really experienced her art. This is incredible. The thumbnail was striking, so much so that i had to click on it. This woman is a talented, eccentric, alien queen.
@@resurgam75 I dont think Medulla is gonna appeal to the non bjork fan coming from myself I seen this referenced over and over and I didn't like it. Hyperballad is probably my favorite bjork song, right up there with this one. The only reason I even found bjork is from this song being sampled by E-40 - Spend the night. lol. No regrets!
This song is what first got me into bjork. I was in middle school when she sang this song at the opening ceremony of the Olympics, this album was my first real exposure to contemporary avant garde and forever changed my experience of music. THANK YOU BJORK you are forever my QUEEN 👑
To me it´s breathtaking how the limitation of words is overcomed by the expressions through the pictures, voices, colours, shapes of things, lights and shadows. Only something, coming from heart, from soul, from spirit, from deepest and free connection with nature on the earth and in the whole universe and with her breathing in and breathing out, can be as such deep, impressive and expressive - this is the voice of nature. Thank you to speak through this holy alliance of the three - heart - soul - spirit - sourounded and leavened by nature´s mights, energies and beings everywhere and everytime - it´s a honour to live in the times, I am able to receive all this through the artworks from Björk. Thank you and please continue being nature. *The might of smiling always is in us, around us and with us.*
Those background voices and melodies coming from unknown entities .... they sound like sirens, star fishes and other magical sea critters singing and chanting together in the middle of a magical coral reef, chanting as tribute to the magix and prowess of the aquatic kingdom. At 1:48 I can just picture the sirens swirling around lighting up the ocean as they swim uowards to the rhythm of their melodies. Absolutely a mesmerizing song.
Fun fact: Jenna has named Bjork in a podcast with Julien as one of her favorite artists of all time! I remember her playing hyperballad to Julien saying how much nostalgia this brings to her and praising Bjork to the fullest and saying how underappreciated she is. I also thought of her video with the rhinestones here lol!
Reginaldo Maciel perhaps because the value of this reality and truth of her in this state with those “holes” / circles is greater than the fear and imagination itself? In other words, truth / reality is more understood and pleasing than what your “inaccurate” imagination can conjure up?
Finally, I remember seeing this back in the day with the shittiest quality. The visuals are still stunning even to today's standards. One o fmy favorites.
Definitely agree with you. Although, I'm one who is still trying to settle into her, therefore I feel like I'm playing catch up when I watch the videos cuz there's so much to look at but then I say hey, what was that lyric again and then i have to ponder what she means. I'm trying. Any tips ?
@@Stand-Alone-Complex Exactly ! I feel like its sensory overload for my eyes , like when there is too much clutter everywhere. Except her work is brilliant so I'm so engrossed in watching that I forget to listen to the lyrics

BILLIE EILISH be like : "oh my lord she is my QUEEN, Im B`jork wanna be but she's another level of singing more better than me". 😭🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 B'jork The Lagend of Amazing Voice i ever heard in this Universe. Her voice so iconic and never died till now 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song is just one of those songs that is always with you, or me rather. Even after all these years after it's release I still just find myself occasionally singing it to myself and thinking about it's meaning. If you ever read this Bjork - Thank you.
"bjork, whatchu up to today?" "my glittering forest elf nightingale has me in your many details of love and lillies though I do not want them" "I see you're wearing an eel and rainboots made of mirrors. Very nice." "this antennae has never been today after all" "oh yes, it IS very nice out." "will you hold this. It has always been yours." "oh thank you.. let's see. Okay.. So it looks like.. a motherboard hanging in a lampshade.. wrapped in a map of.. oh Istanbul! thank you! this is very pretty bjork. Thank you" "injustice." "and a happy holidays to you too bjork!"
I found for you the name of an ancient divinity: Electride. You could assume her identity, and come here, little Genius Loci, wherever you are needed, to protect woods bathed by river waters, swampy recesses where small and large animals reign, brilliant with reflections of rainwater.
I’ve been in love with song since the first time I’ve heard it years ago. It’s not really like anything else I’ve heard. That voice is one of a kind and beautiful
Me enamore de bjork..... Con army of me.... Y venus as a boy... Yoga... Hay Dios ...! Que puedo decirte mi amor.... Que te amo! Eres la reina de ♥... Desde tappi tikarras.... ! Hija de islandia! I love you Bjork!
I actually really like the aesthetic of wearing masks/facial coverings of different sorts in general, and I know this has been said before, but it's hard to think that Bjork feels pressured to hide her face/body these days in her videos because of her age. Age is beautiful, she's glorious and ageism is so damned oppressive and gross. Can we evolve past it already?
Oceania made me like Bjork. I was a fan of Olympics Ceremonies since 2012 and the full ceremonies of Rio 2016, London 2012, Beijing 2008 and ATHENS 2004 where she performed. I'm really glad i got interest in Olympics if not, i would never know Bjork. LOVE YOU QUEEN BJORK
Mmmm! Good point. The music and melodies don’t seem to be evolving since those albums. Obviously there are moments of brilliance but she does seem to be stuck melodically where there’s a sameness to the melodies. It’s not really fresh anymore.
@@kelvynification I completely disagree. I think she has moved on and made some really interesting stuff that you can't fully grasp just on one listen.
