JB try out some beginners classes & play a game that doesn’t involve much stress on your elbow. Tap early to armbars. Shower straight after class. Use soap, tea tree oil & antidandruff shampoo. Sorted 👌

Ayrshire Grappler thanks for the advice!! ive been a long time combat sport fan and i would love to start training again. just got back to the gym this past week. do you guys have a recommendation for a school or perhaps a way to pick one? renzo has a few near me, ricardo almeida, alliance, 10th planet, tiger schulmann... so many to choose from

Thank you Rikako for helping to turn Brazilian jiu jitsu into a bunch of impractical silly techniques you couldn't use for anything other than winning IBJJF-sanctioned tournaments. I should introduce you to the Miyao brothers, you would get along great.

Grappler Baki most people know these days you gotta add some wrestling/judo, striking & fundamental BJJ in order to have a practical, well rounded & effective self-defence system.

And what's the alternative, gza? Don't use techniques that work in gi? Keep your jiujitsu morally pure by using nothing that couldn't work on a naked person? Don't be a BJJ-Luddite. The sport will evolve. If you're seriously that worried about applicability to fighting, just stick to MMA.
