Grell is transfem btw. That's canon. Not my headcanon. Some quotes In a Q&A - That's right, isn't that to be expected? I'm a lady so it's not very ladylike or cute to use harsh words, right! To Othello - HOW DARE YOU USE A FAIR MAIDEN AS A SHIELD! Referring to herself - I will become a charming lady and all the world's men will prostrate themselves before me. Sounds good, right? In the same Q&A - That's why right now, the thing I want to do most is have a sex change! I'm serious you know? Q&A - EVEN IF YOU SAY RIGHT NOW. WHAT I THINK HAS BEEN MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT SINCE BIRTH IS THAT I AM NOT A WOMAN. REALLY, I THINK GOD MADE A MISTAKE... Q&A - OF COURSE. A GOOD WOMAN SHOULD APPRECIATE HERSELF. WHEN I WAS A BUTLER, I HAD NO MAKE-UP ON AND MY HAIR WAS LAME AS WELL, SO WHENEVER I WENT OUTSIDE I FELT DEPRESSED.
@@cathygrandstaff1957 "kare" - he/him ; "ka no jo" - she/her. I heard those in "The Most Beautiful Death In The World" Still they don't use any for Grell in the manga.
*5:30** I think that was certainly how Undertaker was feeling after seeing all of this.* *Also I can't stop laughting with this distorted effect lol. I LUV HIM*
@@Aight__4 Grell's biologically a man, but she goes by "she/her" as stated by Yana Toboso, and the author also stated Grell is an 'okama' (or gay man), aka homosexual. I'm confused about the 'transphobia' part, maybe it's not (yet) stated in the Anime or that I've not read the manga (yet), but there isn't an explicit indication that Grell's a transgender woman, just that she's preferred to be addressed by the female pronoun. Even so, one shouldn't fault the characters in the story to "misgender" Grell as it wasn't even a thing back in the Victorian era, the time period the story takes place (fictionally).
@@voidcritter4 grell is funny 💀 always getting hit in the head or doing something...slash saying something so stupid! Ugh gets on my nerves sometimes. Its hard to say she honestly as the entire time tho hes referred to as HE...idk im stuck on it and never think twice about it...i just see a pretty 'guy' on the screen. Then say 'he' not really like its intentional..then again i guess it dosnt really matter since this is a fictional character who lives in a world of confusion considering the topic itself throughout the show. Nobody really cares, grell does not give two shits neither which i find quite healthy..as of now days you accidentally say some shit and get yourself into some trouble for a small misunderstanding...grell is a good icon nonetheless...people need to lear from him/her. In the end i hope grell gets his sweet bassie.
@@Aight__4 Yeah, it's fine. I'd like to think preference is preference and not a law; even broken, it's not the end of the world. Yet, others are more offended than the actual person, and would assume for them as if they're ambassadors or something. For me, I address Grell as either she/her or he/him, not depending on what he looks like (being that faux butler for Madame Red, or when she was being reprimanded by the heads of the Grim Reapers), but what slips out of my mouth at the time.
@@voidcritter4 see your so cool bro. I liked when grell was a butler i want to see more of that...OHHH A SEASON OF THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!!! But yeah, grells chill. Shows grate even if im years late. Idcccccc but yeah thanks for such understanding and not being dumb like the rest of these people. Butthurt over a fictional charaters undecided lifestyle.
The “WELL, ACTUALLY” on pronouns frfr 😭😭😭😭😭 If I ever do these types of edits, I feel like cutting misgendering parts out and editing in (through myself or a robot) the correct pronouns.
