Just so we are well informed my fellow people, if I may say - My / our GOD is a jealous GOD. He forbids us from worshiping other god(s). Do read the book of Deuteronomy 18.9-14, Ecclesiastes 9.5-6...etc. Be very careful of what you consume lately, for these are the-end-of-days 2 Corinthians 11.13-14, 1 John 3.18-23, 1 John 4.1-6. ATTENTION. ATTENTION!! Run for your lives. (PRAYER) May the LORD bless you and keep you; May the LORD make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; May the LORD lift up HIS countenance upon you, and give you peace, today, tomorrow and forever. Amen.( Numbers 7.24-26)🙏
I come from a powerful family that perform rituals.....but none of my ancestors ever did anything for me MORE than Jesus. They didnt die for me on the cross...and He didn't ask me to slaughter a cow He simply said He loves me and by Grace I am justified. Its been over 20yrs....Ilove my family but there arecertain rituals I do not take part in deliberately....and no bad luck followsme as a result. I honoured my parents till they passed on and they understood my stance.
They didn’t die on a cross for you? 😮… maybe because your ancestors died on the boat for you! Maybe because they died in the tree for you! Maybe cause they died in the field for you! Maybe cause they died in the streets fighting for your rights. You ungrateful 🤬! … colonialism is real and you are proof of it
@@Rowlene.so you you agree with this? Our ancestors didn’t die on a cross for us because they were to busy dying on the boats for us. In the trees for us. In the fields for us. In the streets fighting for our rights. How disrespectful to undermine n minimalize the many many lives our ancestors sacrificed for us. Shame on both of you. And shame on this channel for deleting my comment as if me reminding you all of the many sacrifices from our ancestors is an issue. Wonder why. Tisk Tisk

Whatever happened to respect each other's beliefs. No faith is better than the other. Respect and tolerance of each other's differences and Humility is an attribute needed to guide people.
Maphonga is very eloquent...very eloquent and because we are lazy to read, we think eloquence is truth, we cannot catch up on the lies and basically ignorance of his statements.... he doesnt know as much as he claims to know and he is a clown above all else
Spot on, they should ask him if he went to Psychiatric ward for the 33 years he spent preaching the bible gospel. In so many times people exudes hermeneutic, exegetical and elequence as intelligence. is the same people that thinks accent and unfamiliar terms(big words are a major of intelligence). Maponga prey on a lot of us similiar way with the so called false prophets because they study the psych of people and capitalise on it
Our forefathers are not who we call. We don't look to the generations that went before us. We call on the God they experienced. That's the purpose of referring to, for example, the God of Abraham
So basically, Maponga forces people to believe what he believes in. He believes he's the know and end-all of spiritual knowledge and yet he misses a lot of truths. He has learnt to sound learned but there's nothing from him on revelation.
Ok, someone please show me biblical scripture where God told people to call on Abraham and Jacob toe. Because what I understand is that we call on the God of Abraham and Jacob. We ask the creator and not the created. We say God of Abraham and Jacob as reference to the one true God and not other deities such as Baal.
Just because you're doing something now, doesn’t mean it will be perfect 100 years later. Same applies to what our ancestors did 100 years ago. They did what they did given their circumstances at that time. Death does not perfect their deeds
The Mind is God. Whatever you put in your mind, and believe it's true... especially things that make sense sticks in the mind. Be careful of what you put in your mind, your mind will have an opinion later. Christianity and African Spirituality exist because we want them, we can also make them not exist if a new Wisdow arises. I know it's hard to believe that, the mind is sensitive to repetition, implementation, and traumatic experience. There's nothing wrong with believing in your God, Jesus, and your Ancestors if it keeps you sane when you die...nothing will matter anyway
Maponga is running mad, he doesn't look sane. The lady in orange YES you are not christian if you Mix God. God is ALL powerful by Himself. If you don't like that well that's OK, but it doesn't change the TRUTH,
Definitely. ..because if we do that we say that God is equal to them ancestors. And no one I mean no one is equal to God. The word says God doesn't share His glory with anyone
I got over the question; Why are you not a christian? And why I believe in Idlozi? This question often comes from a place of ignorance, arrogance and superiority. If I say African spirituality over everything and one doesn't agree to it, that's fine, that's you. However, uMvelinqangi ngyawazi and I honour too. I also value the value of Idlozi lami. So no, I am not a christian, but it doesn't mean I don't believe in God. If you are a christian i honour your belief, im not bothered by it futhi. ❤
People from the previous episode to this can only complain about Maponga's arrogants because they cannot withstand facts and thats his only weakness. He was spot on the entire time.
I've only gotten half way through this discussion. And I can say that there is a lot of misinformation going on here. And an individual who isn't able to discern this information. Leviticus 19:31 which states "" Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God"" this is clearly showing that humans aren't meant to pray through traditional healers or any other mediums like star signs or tarrot cards. When people speak about Abraham, Issac and Jacob, These were 3 men who God promised the land of milk and honey, for them and their families for generations to come. When people pray and mention those names, it reminds god of the promise which he had made to those 3 men because they had unbelieveable faith in God. And if you have the same amount of faith, God will give to you what you ask for. This isn't praying to an ancestor as much as people believe. Remember your heritage and where you come from yes, but always remember that God created the earth and the people who have dominion over it. The act of slaughtering is something which was practiced in the old testament. And it was done to please God. Now God doesn't believe in those acts, because all he wants is for people to have faith in him. You don't have to slaughter or do any other worldly acts to prove that you have faith in God. For he looks at our heart, not our works. I pray that people are able to see how such small details can cause confusion on these things.
The reason why God put Jesus on the earth, was because the world was filled with sin after Adam ate the apple. Jesus Firstly was a physical manifestation of God, who came into the earth with blood that isn't filled with sin. And his act of dying on the cross, was to take the sins of the people of the earth.
@@siyabongamjwara2982God is a poor planner if that's the case. He creates Adam and Eve and then floods the earth, doing an ethnic cleansing. Only to later create humans with same flaws. After the flood he should've just made us like Jesus and by that I mean perfect and sinless and there would be less evil in the world, don't you think?
@@ceciliachibwe3788Shouldn't people praying and the holy spirit fix that in a jiffy. Shouldn't all Christians have the same line of thinking if they believe in the trinity. The holy spirit should align everyone. Why so many denominations?
@@siyabongamjwara2982God is a poor planner if that is the case. Why didn't he just make us like Jesus in the OT after the global flood. And by like Jesus I mean perfect and sinless but no Jesus was for redemptive purposes.
the problem about us the African generation of today is that we are exposed to a lot of knowledge and we turn to focus on the knowledge that benefit us only and we forget that we as we are alive now we are a connection between the past and the future so our knowledge as Africans our four fathers had we need to pass it to the next generation, and other races understands this very well hance we practice their beliefs but not ours
Jackie Phamotse was the worst prepared and I read her book interesting yet I feel most guests in this episode were ill prepared for Maponga As he debated in good will and not getting emotionally charged and we are here trying to get the best representatives of the subject but it felt more like a battle of egos the presenter should have controlled the flow of conversation more focusing on facts knowledge ideas rather than watching adults insulting each other but it was a good watch
U can never mix God wix madloti it never happens...people should stop wanting to shove down our throats their beliefs and let us be.i for one has no problem with those who believe in madloti and all i only believe that nothing beats the blood of Jesus amd only wish for all to repent as we all sinners all this dramaa and conversations i feel they are not really that important.we come from different backgrounds and you cant force me to believe what u believe in just because u feel u know better, thats totally wrong ingat yenkhukhu nje mine ayingsebentel only the blood of Jesus nkosyam and please tell me why i should believe in all madloti things loku ekhaya nje azange sesikwente azange nabogogo bakwente nabokhokho bebangakwenti and we are just ok
The problem with us black people is that we identify ourselves with a religion (Christianity), which shouldn't be the case. You should identify yourself with your race!
i understand lights camera action is an interesting space and people like to be heard and be seen to be opinionative wityy and all but that last statement about God and sacrificing blood is just regrettable ......
@@bomssa88 But think about it. Christianity has so many denominations, Bible versions excluding different translations and people have their own interpretations of it. It's hard to get people in house to agree so obviously it's hard for it to be well presented.
It's so sad that to see this foreign journalist leaves his country and causes confusion to himself and our country. Funny on how he is full of opinions in a foreign country meanwhile he left his country without comments.
The guy in the black shirt who keeps starting his arguments using " BIBLICALLY" NEEDS TO STOP! ...he is trying to sound "holier than though" by asserting this " Biblically" phrase. The credibility of the BIBLE is NOT is not being questioned, (yet) so he must stop trying to defend something thats not under attack and should have stuck to the question he was being asked.
The guy in black is wack , I wish they brought more inclined people in this debate because it feels like maponga is the only academic here so evidently he is bored being in this debate . I’m bored by the guy in black he is loud for nothing
My question is God uthwala njani uJesu whrn Jesus is God also ... the way he's putting it hes making it sound like Jesus is from different realm. John 1 tells that Jesus the Word was there at the beginning and He was God from the beginning. I honestly believe Jesus was there even before ancestors and before we Africans could say we Africans
I have never seen a confused person like Maponga. He argues that he is a “Bishop” and he earned that title. This is what a Bishop is according to the scripture; AN OVERSEER And these are the qualification of a Bishop👇🏽 “A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (for if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.” 1 Timothy 3:2-7 KJV Seeing that a Bishop title is in Christianity and not in African spirituality, how then does he fight for a Christian title whilst denouncing it? It’s like someone who says i do not eat meat but i can only drink the soup from the meat. This is a sign of mental agitation. Maponga must know that he can not have it both ways. And lastly by saying Christianity was in Europe before Africa is ignorance of highest degree. Christianity was in Ethiopia first before going to Europe.
@@bigbrasi4132 Read the scripture brother, a Bishop is not an academical achievement but the key scriptural requirement for a Bishop is, 1)they MUST be a convert, that is they MUST be born again 2)They must be able to teach the doctrine of Christ which apostle Paul preached ❇️Hence by these two factors above, Maponga was never a bishop in the body of Christ❌ He might have been a “bishop” in a religion where the gospel of Christ is not known nor preached.
The two people who has come to represent the Christian are naive .sincerely.....I think you really have to know the indepth of so.ething before you start condemning it
