Yeah I agree on the mix. They are very good at mixing and composing without making it muddy. Their entire catalogue is flawless imo. A band that is capable of taking you on rollercoaster rides .
A thoughtful reaction to a brilliant song. What impressed me most upon first listening to this album is that it was their debut album. The complexity and scale of the composition, the vast array of instruments and vocals featured throughout the album, the amazing musicianship and the artful production to bring it all together... Just great music. I hope you've had time to check out more of their catalog. Every song is similarly impressive to this one.
hey man, love Ne Obliviscaris! I think my favorite is Painters of the Tempest (3 parts/songs on the album Citadel) which is super long but worth it I noticed you are also an Alcest fan, hope to see some reactions for future releases by them!
Dude if you haven't checked out Orbit Culture.it might be more in line with the riffs you crave. NeO has a fantastic array of songs that include riffage but they are painting portraits of music with more colors on the palette than others.By the way they are from Australia.
