Now imagine seeing this live, in a tiny venue in north London, about 300 people and the whole band are like 10ft away from you. One of the best gigs I've ever been to, it was unreal.
I've seen them twice in the UK, I'd pay to see them every week of my life if it were possible. Once this new album is out, really hoping they're back in the UK or Ireland soon after.
If I were to choose one song to show to someone who’s never experienced music before it would have to be Forget Not. Unforgettable. Also just gonna mention that the violinist, Tim Charles, is also the clean singer. You can feel his soul in each pull of the bow and word he sings. Also the harsh singer, Xenoyr, made the album covers and writes the lyrics. Every member is behind talented.
Thanks for that, NeO is brilliant. You've done And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope ages ago on your own, both of you need to do it now - the Colorado live version please, it will blow your mind
Forget Not, And Plague Flowers..., Of Petrichor..., Pyrrhic, Eyrie, Tapestry of the Starless Abstract. All the music anyone ever needs to hear. The band could wrap it up tomorrow and rest knowing they've left Bach/Mozart level masterpieces in their wake.
@@lMarcusl Luckily they haven't. The new album is due out very soon. No official date yet, not that I've heard at least, but recording is done. Either way, they didn't pull a Native Construct: drop one absolute masterpiece of an album and then all fuck off their own separate ways. Life happens, I know. Still salty.
Thank you so much for this, I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a reaction to a song this much. Love to see other people go nuts to this epic music 🤘🤘🤘
Saw them live long back for a gig in a university where no one even knew who or what they play.. there were like 50 people .. cool breeze blowing underneath the nightsky .. there were about 5 people in the crowd who knew the band .. but no one expected something of such grandeur. Still the best concert ive been to till this date.... and ive seen many bands.
Can i just say, that in my dark times, i usually find myself watching your reactions videos, and the symbiosis between you two guys, makes me smile, so thank you for that! Keep up the awesome work that you do! :)
I've never clicked on a video so fast! It's so good to see you revisit these guys! I absolutely loved your reaction and the enthusiasm you guys have is contagious! Thank you for giving this band another chance :) I often found myself revisiting your And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope reaction and will be adding this one to the mix! If drums are your thing, I'd give Of Petrichor Weaves Black Noise by this band a chance ;3
FINALLY! I'd left a Ne Obliviscaris suggestion like 3 years ago, so glad you're finally checking them out. I know you did a reaction to a live song but now your missus is on the journey with you, hopefully she can convince you to dig deeper on NeO. I highly recommend Of Petrichor Weaves Black Noise and Painters Of The Tempest Part 2 from them, absolutely incredible music. Here's an exerpt from Wikipedia "And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope from Portal of I was included in a teaching curriculum at Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the song being analysed for its composition". Another recommendation perhaps? Between Cliffs And Chasms by Kardashev. An great prog-metal band, their sound is extremely unique.
Oh yes ...thank you so much for reacting to this track guys ... absolutely brilliant...from a brilliant band 👍🤘 I really love your reactions ...what a channel. Looking forward to your next reaction..Peace from Liverpool UK 👍🤘✌️
Y' all are my favs. Thanks for that . NeO anything is fine with me. You guys pick the next one from them you can't go wrong just like you can't go wrong on Opeth .Thanks
Finally you guys reacted to NeO again! NEO are my favourite musicians without a doubt right now! NeO, Be’Lakor and Opeth are like my own Great Trinity! Please react to more NeO songs, like Devour me and Painters of the tempest Also look up Aether Realm- The Sun The Moon The Stars please. A 20 minute masterpiece!
Well done guys, you nailed that🤘. I had a similar reaction to that song. Thy are unbelievably tight live, good audio on the "live in Colorado vid. Devour Me Colosiss or any other track will impress you I'm sure.
That would be Mr. Dan Presland on drums.. he has alot of playthroughs on his channel.. you need to check him out sometime.. awesome to watch him behind the kit..
@@andre8273 yeah I saw that the other day.. he's one of my favorites also.. I hope the best for him in his future endeavors.. Seems him and NeO split on good terms from what I've read
@@rooster_205 yeah he left perfectly peacefully no harm done at all with anyone, he just wants to focus on drumming in a different band, black lava. if you're really interested in his drumming you should check that band out. i think he also plays for another band called vipassi as well.
I remember you were blown away when you reacted to “and flowers plague the kaleidoscope” glad to finally see another NeO song on your channel. Devour me, Colossus or 16min track Painters of the tempest-part II will astound you.
for the record (like anyone will see this lol) the constantly thrumming of the drums in the background going really fast is double bass, what you take your two feet on the big drum on the bottom called the bass and play both of them at a 1/16th rhythm to the beat, making it very hard to do for some long which is why dan presland is absolutely amazing that he could do so fast for so long
@@AcuCN not even just super impressive, i cant even name 10 other people than can do it so consistant like dan. considering he also does it live with complete flawlessness is also insane, I dont think I've ever heard him miss a double bass note before
I would like to recommend another Australian band over here in Perth called Illyria. Such amazing talent. Wilderness, Swan Song or Second day of Spring. Seen Illyria live like 4 times and every time just as impressed.
