Gus Kraus Venom was the first band to do the whole satanic thing and also is where the term black metal came from, but the sound/music of black metal is most definitely inspired by thrash metal, not nwobhm which is what I'd consider Venom.
Thrash metal a Sub genre? Bullshit that was 80s metal the only reason people called it thrash is cause how the moshing went and how it was a mix of old 70s metal and punk it wouldn't be a sub genre seeing that it was the most important in metal history
Most of the Thrash bands have a front singer that sing in a very weird tone of voice some good bands I know would be Slayer, Megadeth, Onslaught, etc but I would consider black metal the best due to it's extremities and the screams with bands such as Bathory, Immortal, Frost, etc.
Brian Delacruz They are a lot different, Heavy Metal sub-genres are each one really different than others. And luckily cool Black Metal has nothing to do with filthy Thrash.
Hey, I've been starting my own solo project and I dont know how to start, I love black metal but I also love thrash, I'd like to work on both but blackened thrash is not my thing, what should I do?????
My vote 🗳 goes to Thrash! That’s because I like that lightweight authentic extroverted speedy aggression put on the guitar 🎸 strings. All wrath goes into amps and mics. The other genre has that sad introverted passive aggressive tune. Not my favourite music after a hard day.
After a long day working at a Hospital Death Metal Hits real Good to Me not sure what it is about it but there’s something about it that Is so Raw & Sick 🎧! Like Trash for its more positive notes⚡️
Enough with this metal elitism, The whole "true metal" argument is getting old, just accept differences. Love these video's!!! Great jams too!Happy holidays!\m/
@@joeredmond7227 yeah I know that's how things work on metal u know. There is always something pulling or pushing and I think it keeps the metal genre in a straight path somehow. U can see other styles that are less elitist being so diferente through the years like pop, rock, rap. I'm not saying elitism is good but without it imagine how metal would sound like today
thrash metal is way better, just because black metal sounds heavier doesn't make it better, thrash riffs and solos are much more complex and require much more technical skill to play than those of black metal, the lyrics are way more diverse too, thrash lyrics can be about anything from political issues to relationships to war to the occult and much more, as opposed to black metal lyrics which is pretty much always about satanism and nothing else.
As a huuuuuuge death metal fan, I actually prefer black metal. Which I think is unusual because death metal literally spawned from thrash metal. But this comparison is utterly stupid because these two genres are set out to do different things and captivate different emotions. I wish people would stop making videos like these because they're highly nonconstructive and will only spark very stupid arguments.
666deathghost Wrong Venom was heavy metal but after the wave of Thrash metal we put it as early thrash metal (the same with Motörhead) and after the wave of Norwegian metal we put some bands as a first wave of black metal like Bathory and Venom So the idea of these bands was heavy metal bands but we decided to put them into some genres as earlier genre.
@@Anime10Music Venom was "Heavy Metal either, the composition of Venoms early material is one of the actual ways of black metal, not what those mid 90s Norse bands were doing
666deathghost The first wave of black metal it’s too different from the second wave By the way I had told you the genre name came after the wave appears
Black till eternity. I tried Thrash, and it's not my cup of tea at all. I see black as a deep mindset that the (true) members follow. Black is a religion, a philosophy, an attack against Christianity that was forced upon them, and a way of life that is inspiring. I like the stuff about Satan and the classic Hell praising, but also stuff about the Bible, Astral life and beauty that is incorporated into the genre, and i see it much more deeper based on what i've heard. Thrash, sorry to say, doesn't cut it. Just headbanging nonsense with no depth. Black you actually have to stand still to get it. Black > Thrash
Thrash metal is the best and it will always be better than black metal( lets not talk about the first thrash metal bands influenced the first black and death metal bands) THRASH OR DIE!!
Thrash metal always wins . The sound of black metal sounds like shit and the singer seems that 're throwing ham. Honestly the black metal only talks about satan and burning church and the drummer can't play drums.
drummingxtreme Dave Lombardo , Joey Jordison , John Dolmayan , Mike Portnoy , Chris Adler, Bill Wrad , Vinnie Paul ... I mean, I said shit, the black metal drummers are good yes . But the Black Metal still sucks.
ehm, like i went from saybia, eagles to The fray, To Nirvana and Foo fighters, to finch, to metallica, and im sitting here like what the hell should i listen to nxt, pls healp meh, btw i don't listen to black/death metal (yet) because i do not (yet) like it. whats the next step to take x0. I hope everyone obviously see that my mucial taste went more agressive as time gone on so use ur mind when answering :)
