Points for the Priv - each chip is encrypted (Government Standard) and you are able to set app permissions; Display? Points for the Priv - 3x higher resolution and AMOLED (which will come with the iPhone 7); Batter Life? Points for the Priv - which offers 3410mAh (the iPhone only offers 1710mAh), Reception? Points for the Priv. - the glass weaved back makes best reception possible. Tell my your point? I could go on and on.

lmao you know nothing about phones and I can tell, the edge plus is miles above this in every aspect, the exynos line of processors are far superior to the snapdragon 808 and you see that in the bench marks, the camera of the s6 line is probably the best in smartphones on this planet and on top of that the s6 line has a lower aperture 1.9 to 2.2 of the blackberry which gives better quality photos. the edge screen looks beautiful on the edge line of devices and has been touted as the best looking smartphones out there. Now to the Super amoled display which is completely stunning, I shouldn't even have to compare that. Samsung Pay via NFC is now the most widely accepted smartphone payment system out there. Graphics Benchmarks of the s6 line completely blown out this blackberry also. UK what I need not go on.........it just pissed me off that I had to read some crap about half the the edge plus having half the features of this blackberry when in reality it's completely superior in every shape or form and can justify it's 700 plus price tag but it's obvious you know nothing Jon snow

Allister Vyphuis Benchmarks are useless. They usually don't reflect real-world usage and in this case it would be a moot point even if they did, because a 150 ms delay when opening an app is unnoticeable. "The camera is better" this phone is not aimed towards social media. "Edge screen looks beautiful" yes, but the edges are gimmicky at best. "Samsung Pay" that's true, too. But you don't need the S6 Edge Plus to use it. "Best looking smartphone" that's completely subjective.

What do people look for in a smartphone ? Speed and productivity whether through an optimized os and or a powerful proxessor, a beautiful camera, a beautiful design. Yet you say that it's edges are just gimmicks and and the blackberry is not aimed towards social media. That has nothing to do with it, people look for essential features performance wise in a flagship phone and that's what the new s6 edge and it's plus line offers.....no comparison should be made between blackberry's first attempt at pulling their self back into the market with their first Android device when there are obvious flaws.

+Seltonu Yup, Touch iD and I guess that applies for any fingerprint sensor is not immune to a police warrant and a police officer could make you unlock it, of course not for a standard password.

Horrible example. It takes either a person of authority or a person of superior physical ability to force you to use your fingerprint. It takes anyone with a decent memory or a half decent camera to stand behind you and remember/record your password/pin/pattern. Government/police aren't going to demand your password when they can take it from the shadows, which is the easier and more unnoticed method. Fingerprints are far more secure than passwords/pin/pattern especially if you're talking about the average Joe wanting to get into your phone noticed or unnoticed.

I owned the z10 q10 and passport before I really like the hardware but with this I think you get the best of both worlds. Maybe I'll give it a try when it comes down on price.

+supbrotv BB offers something different than the other Android based competition. Tighter security, ability to bypass carriers to patch devices, keyboard, BB Servers, Enterprise. The problem for Samsung is that they have nothing unique to offer the market, Chinese competitors are pumping our solid phones with similar spec/performance for hundreds less.

samsung and apple are having no issues with selling $600+ that's pretty much every flagship and they are the top sellers 😅😅😅

matthew von Apple has no issues selling $700- $1000 iphones because they just broke another industry record this quarter, however samsung has been struggling to sell their galaxy s devices with the s6 devices having the lowest sales since the galaxy lineup debuted.

Truth be told apart from it's nifty keyboard everything else is unspectacular especially when you can get superior devices EVEN cheaper than what Blackberry is offering including just as powerful devices. For example, a Nexus 6P which has way better specs all around and that is starting at 499. The LG G4 is a much better device, the new Samsung devices are even more advanced with their new 14 NM chips Exynos being better than the current Snapdragon chips not that those are terrible and fast storage speed. The iPhone's themselves have better specs using 14 NM and 16 NM chips with DDR4 and a better chip being the Apple A9 which like the Exynos are superior chips to the current Snapdragon lineup. But that is Apple and it's priced around the Toilet's (Priv) pricing. And then you have even cheaper devices that are more bang for your buck like the Nexus 5x the new Moto X Pure Edition, OnePlus One Two, Zenfone 2, Alcatal Idol 3, and the list goes on etc. If you know the current smartphone lineup better yet the Android one to be specific you'll see that BB is just another phone in a horde of devices all packing similar specs throughout many price ranges that make getting a 700 dollar device these days a big meh. Sure it has it's nice tweaks being it's keyboard and the BB services but while it might be a good Android Device it isn't one of the best. It's just another standardized spec device thrown into a sea of similarities

+Grayson Maximillian Phoenix You can get a superior device? i don't know if you read the specs of the Blackberry Priv, but the specs of the Prive are top notch. The Snapdragon 810 has heating problems and drains the battery, so i can't call that a better processor than the 808. Blackberry chose the 808 instead of the 810 because of the issues the 810 has. The Nexus 6P has way better specs? The Nexus 6p has only a slightly bigger battery( Priv 3410mah, 6P 3450mah) and the front camera is 8mp instead of the 2mp of the Priv. The front camera of the Priv is f/2,8 and the camera of the 6P is f/2,4. The diafragma of the Priv's front camera is bigger than the one of the Nexus 6P. Priv has 808 processor and the 6p 810. Just like I wrote, the 810 has issues and is now known as a 'heating processor'. The 6p has a 12,3MP Camera with f/2.0 diafragma and the Priv's camera is 18MP with f/2.2 diafragma. The Priv has OIS and the 6P doesn't. Some models of the Prive have Wireless Charging, while the Nexus 6p doesn't have that possibility. The Priv is right now one of the best Android devices you can get. Security, the nice hardware keyboard, pop up widgets, the Blackberry Hub and the productivity tab. You call the Prive just 'another standardized spec device', but the Prive is the only Android device right now who differentiate itself from the other devices(hardware keyboard).

+yessuz same, and anyone who says the physical keyboard is slower needs to use it more. Its going to be everyone because they have not used a physical keyboard in years, Comon guys it takes a bit of time to adapt to it again, its like when people first tried touch screens it was terrible until you got used to it.

No one hardly uses real keyboards on smartphones and the ones that do are literally a puny pecentage especially with Blackberry's own BB OS marketshare literally being 1-2% (even lower being eclipsed by Tizen already and that's with Tizen (Samsung) not trying!)
