They did Ronnie Van Zant, and Skynyrd justice on this one. Not many can, but still nothing like Skynyrd was. Man they were something special. With that being said Charlie Starr and Blackberry Smoke is an amazing band.
To me there was only one Skynard and one Blackberry Smoke that can do covers of anybody and do it with respect and perfection. Blackberry Smoke to me is carrying "southern rock" into the 21st century. I know they give me hope for the future of music.👏😍👏✌️❤️🌼👏😎👏@@HeadRingerEnt
So many folks SIMPLY DO NOT GET IT IF THEY DONT LIKE THIS, OR ANY OTHER COVER!!! They do not it to try to make it better!!! GEEEEEEZ!!! They do it from RESPECT
Im a Skynyrd fan for more than 43 years! This put chills in my spine ! What a honest and great tribute to the best Southern Rock band of all time! I love Blackberry Smoke!!!!
This is best band to come along in the last 20 Years. Became a fan the first time I heard Good one coming on. They are my bucket list to see before I die.
I saw them last year in London Ontario Canada. They were absolutely phenomenal. I would definitely see them again if given the chance. Great vocals talented artists. Sounded true to their cds. Never disappointed they rock and are on their way to being something larger then life.
Been a fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd for 40 plus years Tuesday is one of my favorite songs and how people could put a thumbs down 2 discover of Tuesday's Gone is beyond me I think they nailed it sounded badass to me
Those people DO NOT KNOW JACK SQUAT!!!! Most every, OR ALL, covers are out of PURE RESPECT!!!❤ I think most folks, AT LEAST THE 👎s truly can not or will not, GRASP THAT SIMPLE FACT
Gary Rossington would absolutely proud of the guitar work and the solo leads,, just simply perfect nothing extra staying true to the original sounds. And i know Ronnie is smiling looking down at how beautiful his creation is beinging this crowd together singing at the top of their lungs together.
Family you gave me the chills bruh. That's exactly the thought I was thinking man. And certainly the best cover I've ever heard and ill fight a mf over that lol. R.I.P. Lynyrd Skynyrd 10-20-1977 🌠🌠🌠💯
Took me a long time to find this. My first love turned me on. We played in a band over 50 years ago.we still stay in contact. Thanks to blackberry smoke our southern rock is back. Southern Rock on.❤❤
I feel so fortunate to have witnessed this moment in person, what an unforgettable night it was. I am certain Ronnie was looking down on us with a smile.
And Gary, my biggest inspiration on guitar. Got to see him live right before he passed away. Took 20 years for me to get to that show, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Bringing back memories of my dad he's been gone watching over me from heaven these past 20 years miss you dad I hope I've made you proud till I see you again
Blackberry Smoke is without a doubt the best band in the world right now and have been for quite a few years. With a major amount of their songs being brilliantly written by lead singer/guitarist Charlie Starr and great performances by him and the whole group they are as said below, a true gift for this generation. Great, Fantastic, Brilliant nuff said!! Hell lets all Smoke one for Charlie and the Band and simply listen to true talent.
Actually they're touring with best band in the world in 2019, Tedeschi Trucks! My fave anyway. Love Blackberry Smoke too. Going to be an epic show at CMAC.
Thanks Blackberry Smoke for doing it right. I'm a long time Skynyrd fan and this version really sent chills up and down my spine! Way to keep Southern Rock real!
Who will win this old hippies heart is really doing good right now found me a new band that got the feeling of Marshall Tucker The Allman Brothers Lynyrd Skynyrd love their music yay southern-fried
I usually don't like their love songs because someone is always yelling and screwing up the song. This is the first live song that didn't disappoint. Great cover of this beautiful song!
Fantastic! The spirit of the original Lynyrd Skynyrd band lives on! This is much closer to Ronnie's original interpretation, than anything what's left of the original Skynyrd, which is basically Gary, have churned out in many years. Beautiful lead guitar work from Charlie Starr and a little slower than the original, which allows the full beauty of the melody to flow through the song. Ronnie would have been proud of this!
I ain't a hater, I love this version, but no, not better than the original, just a little slower. Billy Powell is a hard act to follow, no disrespect, but the keyboard guy followed. Didn't prove
Beautiful cover of a great song. No wonder I've become addicted to BBS. Just sorry it took me so long to find them. Brandon nailing Billy Powell's keyboard work w/ Charlie & Paul doing Allen & Gary proud on the guitars. Charlie also seems to get into the head of ANY singers emotion of a song.
Where there's smoke there's fire and these boys are definitely on FIRE!!! Keep on rockn BBS!!! Awesome by the Grace of God!!!! The Freebird is back for this generation!!!
Charlie you bring back wonderful memories with this.. You killed it again .. Charlie is on 🔥 Dam we grew up with such incredible music!! Dam!!! This is Rock n Roll my friends
the south was a very different place inthe mid '70's.... im in Oregon now but spent busing segregation in the suburban schools of Houston... Skynyrd, the Allman bros, and Leslie West made us survive the bayou brawls to hear the next release... im thankful just to have lived thru Acres Home, as many a schoolbud didn't.....
Love this band. Wish I would have knew about them years ago. Thank you for the post. I pray everyone has a GOD Blessed day. Roger Crowder in Burnet, Tx.
Missed getting to see these guys at Jackson ms. state fair last month and it was a total bummer...Charlie Star and these guys have something that hasn't been heard in southern rock in a long long time. Not only amazing talent but a total spirit about them that's amazing. Love love these guy's
These guys are going to be the next greatest southern rock band if they ain't already, I've heard about eight of their songs and I am certainly a major fan now!!!!
