2:16 fun fact, the guy guarding Blake Griffin in this game was Tech power forward Robert Lewandowski (no relation to the soccer player) and big Rob was my AAU coach when I was in high school and an assistant basketball coach for my high school too. I'll never forget when he told me he played and guarded Blake Griffin in college; I asked him how it went and he told me Griffin dropped 40 on him. Didn't realize it was considered the number 1 "play" of his college career lmao
09-10 L.A. Clippers Starting 5: C- Chris Kaman PF- Blake Griffin SF- Al Thornton SG- Eric Gordon PG- Baron Davis Bench: Marcus Camby, Zach Randolph, Ricky Davis, DeAndre Jordan, Steve Novak, Mardy Collins, Fred Jones. Awesome Line-Up.
For your information, Gordon is an NBA All-Rookie First Team member. And he was also considered one of the top draft steals of all-time. Alright, Thornton might actually be able to play SG, but can Randolph dribble the ball as skillfully as Griffin? Griffin's so much faster too. To end this discussion, I should say Randolph start as a 6th man, while Griffin plays PF, Thornton in SF and Gordon in SG.
Thats exactly how it was for me except i seen him his senior year of high school. Was totally on another level compared to anyone else i had seen in person.
I'm confident that the Clippers are sure enough to pick this player. Please, no more Olowokandi, Ely, and Korolev. Livingston was almost the sure thing but blew his knee up.
I just didnt see enough from gordon last year that would make him a starter. Thornton is a forward, true but his altheticism and his slashing skills tell me he could drive to the hoop more. I dont know why everyone hates randolph he's got the best standing 3 ball on the team minus novak. and the fact he does 25 pts a game makes him worth it to me. i dont think blakes jumper is as good as zach. even blake has been promising us he's "working on it" i want him catching alleyoops like amare all day.
Come to think of it. I do think that Camby's a little better than Kaman. So, he should start. Randolph at 3? Never. If you're really that desperate, Griffin should start at 3 since he's more athletic and can shoot at a further range. Thornton is a forward, so Eric Gordon should start at 4 instead.
