Blaster 2-stroke oil level tank sensor illuminated issue

I thought I was having an issue with a faulty sensor or a bad wiring connection. Turns out I just didn't have enough oil in the tank. This video shows about the level that is required to turn off the oil light.
Useful notes:
- The oil light is solely driven by the oil level sensor, not the ability for the oil pump in the crankcase to feed the carburetor (aka oil light may be off but you may have an issue getting oil to the carb).
- The oil light is supposed to illuminate when you first start up for a few seconds then go out (unless your level is too low like mine is here).
- The tank needs to be quite full for the light too not illuminate.

Hi Shawn, thanks for the insights! I could use it to determine if the oil sensor on my daughters Yamaha YB1 moped is broken. It is not apparently, i just need to fill up the oil tank a little more😉. Thans again😃 Cheers!

The tors system gave me too much problems I ended up deleting it an putting premix in the gas tank no problems since then 😂

The rear tank is a two stroke oil tank.

If everything is working properly, the system does that for you... So just 2 stroke in the oil tank and gas in the gas tank.

Hello my does this but it shuts off by itself is that normal it like bogs and shuts off but only when the light comes on

I don't think that's electronic because I've run around with the light on with no issue, but, if there truly is no oil getting to the piston, the process starts with excessive heat and friction, metal wear, and clearances get tight from heat expansion then your motor will big down and shut itself off. Time to dig deeper, maybe clog in the tubes or carb or oil pump. Good luck

@@christiananton6591 just be patient and inspect it. I hope I'm wrong and it's something else. The idle jet may be the issue if revving keeps it running. If you have smoke coming out the tailpipe you have oil in the system. Are you a member of the Facebook group for blasters? Chatting on there will be better if so.

Do you know how to inplug the oil line to the carb? I bought a new carb but can’t figure out how to get the oil line unplugged from old one. It looks like it has a brass sleeve that has oil line clamped to carb. Thanks

I honestly can't remember right now, but I think it came right off for me at one point? I know that's not a good answer but I believe there are either videos or the Facebook group for blasters definitely had some tips at one point that I could remember. If you have a problem finding the group let me know and I can point you to it.

2 stroke oil. I use a synthetic.

On my bike , I don’t think I’m getting any oil to the carburetor, and I just did a top end rebuilt, bike cuts of after 10 min, I unplugged the hose the connect to the carburetor to see if the oil is flowing but it’s not

Does.it cut out and then you can't crank it bc siezed? That's the case if you have no oil, I unfortunately just did that on another two stroke.bsmoke out of the exhaust will tell you that 2 stroke is making it to the piston. Other reasons for cut out can be an overheated coil, maybe fuel clog making the bowl empty.

@@sshawn09 I can still crank it and it turns on its not seized, but after a couple minutes it sounds bad,,,, before I did the top end it smoked like regular, now there’s no smoke at all and I put on a brand new carburetor on as well,,,, I took of my oil pump cover and took the main hose that connects to carburetor off and there’s no oil coming out at all now I’m thinking it’s my oil pump (oil injection)
