Thanks for the video and I know its an old video but I'm trying to determine if the flame crossover slot is supposed cut into the inside of the burner? My burner is much hotter at the back than the front making it hard to cook on. The slots are cut thru on my burners. THanks in advance.

Hi there... This question comes up quite a bit, particularly, when someone goes from a "big box" brand grill to something considered "premium". It's not uncommon for heat to build up in the back. Gas grills, by nature, vent out of the rear, so heat does tend to build up back there. That's why it's so important to pre-heat with the lid closed for, at least 15-20 minutes. That will help distribute the heat, front to back. Blaze grills have a lot of material that needs to heat up. I've heard a lot of people say "my $200 grill from Home Depot didn't used to do that". Actually, it did. Generally speaking, those types of grills just don't get hot enough to notice. Hope this helps. Probably a little info than you were looking for. I tend to go into "training mode" when I get asked the question LOL. Cheers!!

I have a Blaze 5 burner LTE and can't get both sides of the outside burners to light. I've cleaned the groove on the bottom and that has made the 3 interior burners operate much better. Is the groove on the bottom of the burner designed to carry the flame via the crossover tube? My far left burner has that removed for the infrared burner so the right side won't light. My far right burner won't carry the flame to the right side either. I can light them manually but that's stupid for a $3k grill. Any ideas???

A few things may be happening here. We know the gas is flowing because you can light it manually, so that’s half the battle. Did the burner ever light properly? When you push and turn the knob, is there flame coming from the igniter? If not, you may need to clean the igniter tip. This video shows how to do that. Hopefully, it’s that simple. Beyond that, I’d suggest calling our tech team so they can trouble shoot with you in real time. Usually something like this is a fairly simple fix. 1-866-976-9510.

I just bought a pro series built in gas grill and when I go to light it, the first two burners light up no problem, then when I try to light the next two, it kicks off the first two I lit. Trying to figure out what the issue is and if my installer hooked it up wrong. Thanks!

Hard to say... Could be a regulator issue or a gas flow issue. As silly as it sounds, it could be as simple as a spider getting in the line and clogging it up. Try disconnecting the gas line (turn off gas first) and shooting a can of air into the chassis of the grill. Sounds silly but I've seen it work many times. At the very least, I recommend calling our customer service team. 866-976-9510. We have a great team and they'll be able to help you troubleshoot in real time.

@@haasrocks1 thank you! We are having the plumber come back this week to look at it. He agrees that it is likely a regulator issue.

I purchased a 5 burner built in NG grill 3 weeks ago. After my 3rd cook my igniters are giving off no spark. I am getting plenty of gas and can light the burners with a lighter. I cleaned igniters with no resolve. They are just not sparking. Very frustrating for a grill that is only three weeks old and only three cooks in.

That’s peculiar, indeed. Have you contacted our tech team? 866-976-9510. They can help you troubleshoot in real time. Just curious, is this happening on every igniter?

I have the 30 Griddle, for some reason I can’t get both sides of the griddle to burn evenly. I’m using the regulator that came with it. Any ideas?
@haasrocks1
@haasrocks1 Год назад
I apologize in advance for the long answer... Sometimes it takes a little more effort to troubleshot the griddle only because you may need to take the griddle plate off to get a good look at the burners to see how they are lighting. Before we get into all that, I would recommend some easy troubleshooting technics first. Try disconnecting the gas line and blowing a can of air through the manifold. You'd be surprised how many times a spider will find it's way in there and build a home. That would surely impede gas flow. Another possibility is low gas pressure from the source. If you're running natural gas, often times the grill is at the end of the line and needs an adjustment at the head end. A plumber would be able to check that pressure for you. It should be 4" water column for NG. If you're running off a bulk propane tank, it should be 11" water column. If you're running a stand 15/20 lb LP tank, you probably don't need to worry about gas pressure. These are just some places to start. If you'd like, you can call our tech team and they can troubleshot with you in real time. 866-976-9510. If you end up having to take the griddle plate off to confirm the burners are lighting properly, There's a single screw on the rear of the griddle plate assembly that needs to be removed. At that point two people would be able to lift the cooking plate off without too much issue.

Anyone have any ideas as to replacing the pins that hold up the flame tamers? I have the replacement parts however the pins are broken off and flush with the inner wall of the grill. Not sure how to drill them out.
@haasrocks1
@haasrocks1 10 месяцев назад
If you need to drill them out, use a bit that’s a bout the same size as the threaded part of the replacement pin. The old portion of the broken pin will probably fall out without to much effort. I’ve had to replace a couple of those pins. Depending on the location, you may need an extra pair of hands to hold it in place while tightening it down. Actually I need to replace another one that just popped off. I’ll make a video as soon as I get home from the road. Might be a few weeks. Summer is a busy travel time, slinging grills around the country lol.

How do I fix burners that get too hot? Even on the low setting, the flame is way too hot.
@haasrocks1
@haasrocks1 7 месяцев назад
If you pull the knob off, you’ll find a small hole. There’s a low flame adjustment in there. A small flat head screwdriver will work for that. Light the burner, turn the knob to low, then pull the knob off. You’ll see the flame adjust as you turn the screwdriver. Each burner has its own low flame adjustment. Let me know how it goes.
