I like how she says she prefers her life, but right after she does so hands out to him every way to contact her, basically telling him 'but you're the one thing that would make me prefer otherwise'. Great scene.
I understood it differently. He said find yourself a good man (as opposed to himself). Her answer indicates that she isn’t looking for the typical definition of a “good man”, she prefers her life of danger and adventure. In other words she choses him and his unconventional life.
I've seen this movie dozens of times. Every single time I wish he would just get on that plane, kind of the way I wish Rick would in "Casablanca". I guess sometimes movies are about the what-if's that teach us a lot about our own lives and the choices we make, how we wish we could go back and do one thing different.
Firstly, Solomon never would have got his son back if Danny got in that plane. Secondly, this film is written so perfectly there is only one possible outcome for Danny. If it had gone any other way, the movie wouldn’t have been as good.
