Cute and creepy at the same time. Seemingly an early version of the wandering lootbox type enemy. Its design weirdly reminds me a lot of the flood parasites from Halo.
Rather than being a bloodstone beast replacement we should remember DS1's development was very influental on Bloodbornes and was the direct next project the main team worked on. This lil dude is cute and gives me good vagrant vibes more than anything else. Maybe losing insight in a bloodstain would cause them to appear in other peoples worlds or just be similar to vagrants in DS1.
Glad they didn't put this in you'd probably have to kill it or something and the game already makes enough of a point of what a massive bastard I am without me murdering little egg fellas
@Ulteztoica of course but even they're creepy asf. Little baby demon things with sharp teeth. The top hat for them is pretty funny but the bloody ribbon makes them creepy too. Not even those little aliens are cute.
@@dart.115no, the creature that gives materials in Bloodborne are effectively called Wandering Madness (and they are essentially Bloodborne's DS1/2/3 crystal lizards counterpart)
given the way it teleports away, we can kinda guess it was supposed to be one of those "runs away and drops upgrade materials when killed" kinda creature
Definitely meant to be bloodborne's version of the non-hostile vagrants, which are spawned in other player's world when an item is left on the ground. Which me wonder if there is a version of the evil vagrants, and, if so, how would they spawn? Since evil vagrants spawned when a player failed to pick up their bloodstain filled with humanity.
I thought maybe it was an earlier design for the infant great ones, perhaps if they were intended to hatch like birds. But the way it scuttles away and disappears makes me think it may have been similar to the roaming nightmares, perhaps to give the player an item that was cut.
It looks like Amygdala tried to make its baby form but forgot to attach its torso. So friggin adorable lol ---except the fact that this mf is gonna shoot lasers outta its eyes when it grows up.
@gaszwyn449 bruh wtf are you guys on about talking shit about Berserk and it's fans when the entire Soulsborne franchise is heavily inspired by it. Go fuck yourselves
If the model is that detailed, then they must have already made a high resolution sculpt and just didn't bother baking a normal map onto the low poly version. Either that or they just took the normal map out of the game.
Absolutely it's a vagrant. When you consider the development timeline, Bloodborne was being made directly after DS1, and there was no precedent yet for /not/ having vagrants.
The squeaks were probably a direct solution to Vagrants' most common issue in DS1, which was appearing in people's worlds and going unnoticed because they were silent and usually out of the way.
So this wassupposed to be Bloodborne's version of the Crystal Lizard? Then I'm glad it was rrmoved, because I'd feel horrible killing these squeaky little things. :'3 Also, YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO TORCH IT! *DX*
