Don Granato was such a low energy coach. I see a huge improvement coming.

The drought started the day they let Briere and Drury walk, period! Lindy was left with a leader-less team after that. Not sure if coach Bowman, coach Imlach or anybody else would have done any better...

Wayne thank you for being the voice of reason amongst Sabres fans. If you watch the recent interview with Seth Appert he said his job in Rochester was to mirror what the Sabres were doing. I think him saying he understands Granato’s system was just him doing his job. He might actually be a lot more like Lindy than we think which would be phenomenal. If we have another tough assistant coach on the bench holding players accountable this is going to be very good for us.

@bjarczyk, other organisation across the NHL have other behind the scene like them or not similar to Seth Appert. Take for instance joey moss who spent much time in the Oilers locker rooms in the company of Gretzky, Messier, Anderson, K Lowe et al. May not be a production player but just relax the player with jokes, wise cracks...

@bjarczyk, and without putting out rumour false info whatever condition Seth Appert may suffer from beside Sabres being in a barren playoff drought. The NHL is for all as the Edmonton Oilers model proves. Wayne keep tending to Rosie as you have said so much to regulars of this channel you are fond of the canine you have re-homed.

My first choice was Gallant. Berube would have worked for me. Lindy? Unfinished business. I love this angle. I think it would be fitting for him to take us to the promised land. Him and Gallant were 1a/1b for me.

Great Video, Wayne. I've been saying that all along, about the situation in New Jersey. Lindy Ruff was used as A Scapegoat by GM Tom Fitzgerald, while the latter got an extension to his contact, while, as you said, not getting Goaltending, etc. I think that some credit has to go to Andrew Brunett, when he was Lindy's Assistant, as I had said, some of these failures in acquisitions (Meire, Palat & others) isn't on Lindy. Sorry I made this more of A Devils comment, but, it shows the mistake that they made firing Lindy Ruff, who I'm sure will likely turn The Buffalo Sabres around. Let me know what you think

@@richardkammerer2814 Thank You for your comment & response. I also want to thank you for agreeing with me. I tried to do the best logical analysis that I could. I think that The San Jose Sharks firing David Quinn was likewise using him similarly as a Scapegoat and/or because his trying to win, with nothing, jeopardized the #1 Draft Lottery Pick. I'm not saying that GM Mike Grier wanted them to tank, but, it's very difficult to think otherwise, considering he traded all of those players & still expected to get better results from David Quinn. Let me know what you think

Lets hope Adams sticks to his word this summer when he said he wants to make the botton 6 forward group more abrassive . He also said he wants to bring in a veteran 3rd line centre. Will he trade the 11th over all pick?? Should be an interesting summer. Thanks for the video Wayne !

Being aggressive, amen, how many times this season did it look like they were just going through the motions? Aggressive in the forecheck, active stick work, being pesky in the corners and on the boards. I want to see them being so tough to play against that opponents lose their minds and take stupid penalties. Especially at home.

I prefer Chandler Stephenson signed as an FA to fill our #3C needs. If a trade has to happen, Buffalo should look into packaging a forward prospect & the #11 for a trade up in the 1st to get another blue chip defenseman prospect.

I do love Lindy, but I have a fear that he isn't the same Lindy we knew and loved in the 99 series. If he can prove that to me in the first 8 to 10 games then im fully on board. I know Buffalo loves Lindy and he has a house there. I see someones comment saying Matthews for Power...come on. I wouldnt trade anyone for a 13.5 mil player that isn't named McDavid. Marner, we don't need your ego. I'm just waiting on UPL resigning news and IIHF highlights of Cozens, Peterka, Byram, Dahlin etc

If the Leafs trade Mathew's they are bigger fools than I thought. I would trade every other leaf before Mathews, he is the greatest goal scorer in this era, perhaps of all time by the time he retires, you don't trade that.

@@michaelmcintyre6414 ELCs. Having a depth below allows you to fill out the bottom of the roster when cap space becomes tight. Trades. Current contracts expiring. GMKA has done a good job managing the cap. Buffalo is not in Ottawa's current situation. A signed prospect to his ELC becomes a asset.

Oh boy am I ever ready for the Roam rants when the so called "expert" season predictions come out and most have Buffalo near the bottom of the standings. Hopefully the Sabres put the league on notice this coming season like they did back in 2005-06.
