I second that! I have a 2003 BMW 530i e60. 450,000 km on it. Drives excellent and very powerful! super reliable cars. mine has the m54b30 engine. more reliable than the n52b30. normal service nothing major. best cars hands down!

The last good looking 5 series. Finally BMW has managed to not build pretty cars any longer. After the death of the last impressive 7 Series in the early 2000`s the 5 is dead too.
i think the f10 is pretty sexy too. new 7 series sucks in looks, and dont mention the new 3 series, lol its so ugly. i really liked the BMW F01 7 series in looks, e60 is sexy as well and e92 is also nice.
I missed what year this model is. I think this car is for me. I don't need the all wheel & drive two turbos with even more maintenance.I am a sucker for the eyelash tailights lol.
Hehe. Pre facelift? This is the facelift LCI model that has been made from 2007 until the last modelyear. You can recognize this model by the new front and rear lights, the new electronic gear shifter, more powerful engines, and if you have a 2009 or later, the new CIC iDrive system that can also be found in early F10/F11 models.
Thanks for the comment! First of all it all comes down to personal preference but we'll try and help. The 5 is based on an older chassis which could hinder reliability in the long run however they're all pretty solid. The 5 also has more kit as standard and feels more refined to drive. The 3 is newer and lighter with better fuel efficiency (model depending). Hope we could help!
But the 2004 bmw 5 series cost around 6k-8k ( in Florida ) while the 2006 bmw 325i cost around 7k-10k .. I like the 325i because of the size but the 2004 bmw 5series has more features and is cheaper ...but I think im gonna go with the 3 series but the 5 series if I can't get the 3 series ..thanks for your help

and just a heads up for you 5 series buyers, buy 08 -10 they have the face lift head lamps , up-graded door panels and Idrives and stiffer suspention along with the up-dated shifter, stay away from 04-05 545i they are nothing but problems 06-07 improved all problems, 08-10 more bang for a few thousand more but problem free!!
+crazystang69 do you have any experiance with the 08 525 -530i ? becuas ei tent to buy one but i heard they have a poblem with the transmission and the water pump , and as a student i might not be able to maintaine that
maybe on your, but this e60 in this video does not have xenon, this headlight are just halogen with lens. The facelifted e60 halogen have lens like xenon.
