Thanks for all your videos. Lots of info that has helped. By the way I have a 2013 535i m sport and it came with the basic cluster.. Anyway I just bought the 6wb from a company that codes it to my vin before sending it out, so basically it will be a plug and play sort of thing for me.. Also picked up the Speed limit info adapter (SLI emulator) that codes in using Bimmercode. Looking forward to installing both hopefully by mid week next week.. Thanks again for all your help.

Great video! Im thinking about upgrading, but i feel like the 6WB is a bit too extra and also for the price, and I dont like the small needles on the fuel and temp gauge.

I have the 6WA but I prefer it over 6wb only because the 6wa heads-up display lets you code turn signal. 6wb heads-up display cant be coded for turn signal supposedly.

You should cover the aftermarket G20/G80 style cluster. Was skeptical for months but pulled the trigger last week. It’s solid and fast. Plug in play and $600 vs the 1k plus coding for 6wb

@@RV-vo7dx Car wasn’t equipped with the heads up display so it was a simple solution. That’s the only feature it lacks from my usage experience

I don't know if the light can be changed. Coding and virginizing typically run around $150 and can be done by RVG Performance.

Yes, I have a 2011 535i as well. All three clusters will work in your car. I would follow RVG Performance on IG and contact them about coding.

Any digital clusters like the “Bad Boy” you could recommend or know of for a 2 series? Have a 2016 228i that I’d love to update, just seems like there’s nothing available to update to 🤷🏼‍♂️

I am sorry, 6WA came in EU out when the car was announced, 6WB was available from 2012 onwards. Also “Analog” has an LCD screen on bottom right so its not just “Analog”. 6WA doubles the LCD size from Analog…

Great video but i didn’t understand right, the small red light turns off after you coding ?

Yes, the red tamper dot will turn off after the cluster has been virginized and the car has been coded.

What coding or capability issues are there with a 6sp? Also, I don’t have dynamic drive, so how would it act since I can’t shift to sport?

if you have a 6sp the M5 cluster works great for you. That's what I would install.

You can actually run the 6wb cluster without issues. The “Sport mode” will display when turning off traction control.

How about changing from Miles to Kilometers on digital cluster ?

Yeah, that can be done with coding on the 6wb. If you want the display to be done in Kilometers, make sure to request this when remote coding. Also, in Bimmercode you can have the cluster display both kilometers and mph.

The base cluster came in the US all the way to 2016 (end of F10)...only cars with HUD got the 6WA from factory

@@senicawilson1637 I recently installed a 6wb in my f10. I haven’t looked into the G series digital cockpits, I think that would require a lot of retrofitting.

If you're just replacing and not upgrading, do you still have to code the replacement cluster?

If you are just replacing your cluster with the same version, ie 6wa - 6wa. You shouldn’t not have to remote code the car, however the cluster will still need to be virginized. The cluster stores the previous vehicles VIN number on its eprom chip and that needs to be reset.

@@Philipsferreira_ I’m in Oklahoma. No I don’t have to install. You can install, it’s really easy. You will need to have the car remote coded, but I can get you connected with RVG. RVG can virginize and remote code your car.

Yes, if your car is an f10, the 6wa will be a easy swap. Where are you located? F10’s started in 2011 in the USA.

I sell them used for around $800. If you want new, they run around $4000 from BMW. I think Kies Motorsport and Bimmertech sell them as well for around $2999.

I don’t know, but I would think that’s is more likely that your fuel level sensor is faulty.
