I never realised how realistic the grand turismo 4 tracks were until I saw the tracks for real both on youtube and on tv. For all those who've played the game, watching this vid feels like driving the car in the game! Amazing stuff!
Respect to Chris for OWNING the cars that he likes. Most motor journalists have an old project car in the garage and just drive press cars, never going through the ownership experience.
Mejevoli I realize I'm several years late but my '06 E92 did the same thing when I decided to top it out. All the electronic parts of the dash and the infotainment system locked up and the analog tach just kept going to 169. Then I slowed down and all the electronics rebooted as if I had just started the car.
Love this show, just started watching it now and its great and these 2 guys are great presentors and drivers. A bit like Top Gear but withought Jezzas critizism towards everything haha
This guy is having so much fun...I can't wait to get my 2009 or 2010 M3......But I would only do one lap on this course with this car.....I would have to take a Honda S2000 to the curves....Another fun sporty car to race around in!!!!
this guy is great!! he comments are good and he talks about the truth. iam very very very luck to own a 335i but the m3 is just great i took one for a test drive at my dealer and there is a big difference the m3 is great for drifting my 335 cuts up some times and thats because 335s dont come with a e-diff like the m3 any way great car!
i feel his pain on the first day of buying his new m3.i think i am lucky to say i had the same pain of getting a brand new nissan 370z.and keep it under 5000rpm.frustrating stuff.would love to drive around a challenging track like the ring.brilliant review.
I WILL got to Germany and drive on this course one day.....Iwould love to build a MK-2 Golf or Jetta, N/A pwer to about 220HP and drive hard. Or take a Honda S2000, build it up and hit the curves... this looks like great fun!!!!
i KNEW it was an '86 !! Just too bad that we don't normally see BunTA [or even Keiichi ??..(^_^).] revving those coRollas round the ring in spectacular fashion LoLLoL!!
i dont blame you for being worryed i wouldnt even drive my m3 round a track in wet weather thats if i had an m3 lol maybe one day. Another think whats with part1 not being able to take it to 8000rev is that an engine saftey thing like for 1000miles wearing your new engine in so you dont mess it up hammering it?.
It's kind of impossible not to like Chris Harris. I wish they'd put him on Top Gear and get rid of Richard Hammond. Re: the 'Ring in the wet - it's effing lethal overall and in a few places is beyond even that when there has been rain. I've been in a passenger in a car there that careened off the barriers after the tiniest mistake on a greasy patch of cold, damp tarmac. Frankly, in Chris's shoes in a new M3, I'd have left the traction control on for my first laps.
I thought that too at first. But he cut out the bit between "Adenauer Forst" and "Karussel" which takes about 2 minutes time. But under 10 minutes in the rain with your own new car is still pretty damn fast. And he didn't take the long straight full throttle (at the beginning) which makes this effectively a sub 9:00 min lap. Not bad at all!
GTR evo is in no way a simulation. Only good thing about it is the miscelaneous simulation (such as brake and tyre temperature). The driving physics are simply so-so. Try Live For Speed. :)
I don't get it (Car & Driver Magazine) says that the Mustang is better than the M3 and the CTS-V is better than the M5 hummm. BMW must be lowering their standards!!
@b3nd3rpep He's much too polished for TopGear. Those guys are just a bunch of clowns. Very amusing clowns, for sure, but Chris is the upper echelon. He's just the best.
