Every time he use to come to Philly, we’d catch his show. Liacouras Center, the old Spectrum, or the now closed Valley Forge Music Fair, didn’t matter I was getting those tickets !!! RIP Mr. Womack 🎶🎶
Bobby Womack and his brothers' (The Valentinos') original version of IT'S ALL OVER NOW positively BLOWS AWAY The Stones' cover version !!! If Mick Jagger thinks he can out sing Bobby Womack, he must be CRAZY !!!
Across 110 Street... etc. This Brotha is the epitome of Unsung. A unique soulful voice! Never'll be another I lament about the many singers that I never got a chance to see live, like Michael Jackson or Luther But I find consolation in the fact that I at least had the chance to see this Brotha live. I play him on a regular and always will. Some people just can't relate to this type of GENIUS
One of the greatest singers there ever was. His songs got me over some bad times in my life never will forget his wonderful voice. Sleep on in peace mr. Womack.💜💜💜💜
Bobby Womack and Ronnie Wood together is probably my favorite duo in music history. So nice to see Ronnie introduce him and see them play together again (although it would've been even sweeter to see them play guitar together).
Cuz Bobby Womack singing at His Induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009; and Featuring Bobby's close friend, Ronnie Woods of the Rolling Stones on Guitar. The song "It's All Over Now" was written by Cousin Bobby Womack at age 20, and became The Rolling Stones 1st Big Hit in 1964.
If the world hadn't been so prejudiced back then, THE VALENTINOS would have had the big hit with their ORIGINAL VERSION of "IT'S ALL OVER NOW'' instead of THE STONES....And then ALL of the VALENTINOS would have gotten inducted into THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME today....instead of just BOBBY....
Bobby W singing his original song from 1962 that his mentor Sam Cooke gave to the then unknown Rolling Stones to record and it shot up the charts and Bobby was so pissed....now here he is singing his song 50 years later with Rolling Stone Charlie Wood playin guitar backup...wow
The album calvin did when he was still alive (2009)and he approved of it but I believe he was in the beginning stages of his dementia...but the album is lovely
@KuriapXia My point is that if a great musician like Bobby Womack can adapt and enjoy new styles of music, then isn't probably that bad mate. Have you listened to his collaboration with Gorillaz? It is so powerful.
Excellent, real musical talent is very rare now from the singers to the....OMG an actual BAND, tired of hearing drum machines, beatmakers, and sound synthesizers!
