For some reason, that bar "my man Bobo just lost his baby in a house fire...." has always sat with me and helps me to be grateful for my children and the small things that we (I) overlook everyday💯
Right when I played ugk with my dad he loved it especially the sampling of old beats but that made him listen to the words..another song my dad loved was the geto by too short who also sampled a old beat so I feel you..
Same here bro. Put that song on in the car ride for the first time with my dad this mane wanted to hear it over and over again. Ended up playing it back 5 times. Wanted to bump some Tommy Wright III and some Three 6 but couldn’t do that at all that day. 😂
For those that weren't alive or too young to remember the impact of Riding Dirty on the culture you had to be there. People still using the phrase "Riding Dirty" to this day. That album helped continue to move the needle in the south direction
I finally get to see who BoBo is!!! still condolences to you til this day!! I felt that song bc it showed me that real gangstas have real feelings and care about the Real and Deep Soul things💙💛💙
The lyrics that the Pimp put on that song really brought up some emotions I didn't even know I had inside when it first came out. But they meant even more to me once I became a fireman in North and South Carolina because that's a very true statement and makes you question everything about why things are the way they are. Losing a dad and four kids in a house fire is definitely nothing to play with. Still think about it everyday along with all the other tragedies that we go through. Its tough sometimes. Thats definitely Bobo's song, prayers to him and his family go up still.
@@supertightbobo OG I'm only a few years younger than you and I got no idea of what that little dude means on ya comment and for the record them bars pimp dropped chokes me till this day
UGK is social commentary at its finest! Thanks for the shoutout BoBo; these boys gonna know we still here doing great music and ain’t going nowhere! #UGK4LIFE
One day and like yesterday are some of the greatest songs these men ever recorded. The vibes and the messages in their lyrics were amazing. Great interview
Man I'm thankful I could have lost my son in the house probably about a month or two ago but God blessed day always listen to that song when I was growing up so this is Bobo
One Day is one of the realest songs ever thats why I love Pimp C / UGK they were just TOO REAL. I dont know a single rapper that could pull off a song like that except Pimp C RIP

I was 10 years old...jumped off the porch into the streets of Dallas Texas in a neighborhood called Oak Cliff when that song came out on UGK Ridin Dirty... At the time I didn't truely understand the violence I witnessed in the early 90s...it was normal... I think I have PTSD
Shout out to my UGK fam Bo Bo 💯 @B High - Now you gotta get a interview from Smoke-D the one who was doing all the talking in prison on the Ridin Dirty album and the second verse on Front Back Side to Side. Bun or me can link it up for you.
