I still can't believe Andrew Lincoln never won an Emmy for his performance of Rick

The days when you wouldn't miss a Walking Dead episode for anything.

Wow am I the only one impressed by the fact that Rick's actor is so good he got micro-expressions down

Governor was hands down the best Villain on the show. Rick might not have feared him in the same way as Negan , but the Irony is the Governor is the only person to actually Beat Rick in a fight.

The governor was one ballsy badass, he always stood his ground never afraid or fazed by bullets, he never really took cover. He was one badass villian in the walking dead

I’ve always considered this the best episode of The Walking Dead. There’s no victory, no grand escape from Terminus. Just bitter defeat. It showed how close Philip was to shedding his old self. But he couldn’t. How could he. No one wins in this. Hershel is head, our survivors are scattered to the wind like leaves. It’s the pinochle example of how the living could so easily defeat the dead and rise above it all. But our self serving nature shines through and destroys it all.

Need to do a spoof video of overly obvious body language. "This person is screaming in fear. In that Michael Myers is an incredibly scary looking dude."

Rick's weakness with the governor was that he was still willing to be diplomatic. Later seasons Rick would have just killed them all on sight. But the governor's weakness was that he always let his temper get the better of him.

andrew lincoln is so underrated. he deserves more credit. you can just see that he’s really passionate about acting and studied a lot about it

Daryl asks Bob if he's good before giving him a gun, because earlier it's discovered Bob has a drinking problem. Put some people in danger for booze even.

"I have a tank, and I'm letting you walk away from here....what else is there to talk about?" The man has a point

The governor is hands down my favorite season bad guy in the walking dead TV series so far. Great actor,great character, great acting skills between Rick and the governor.

The best twd villain. Negan is the most entertaining tho.

i like one aspect of the governor that doesn’t get talked about enough, his willingness to call out rick on his bs, negan and shane both fell for ricks interrogation good cop skills but the governor would always see through him

This comment has nothing to do with body language. But I gotta say, David Morrissey does one of the most impressive Southern accents that I have ever heard from an Englishman.

The only scene in the show the tops this one is when we meet Negan in my opinion. It shows just how different Rick and the Governor are as leaders. One is a silver tongue dictator willing to do whatever it takes to win, and the other is leader willing to put his people a head of himself and his pride.

I'd love to see you do the one where Rick and the Governor sit at a table in that barn and negotiate, or the one where Rick ends up killing those two guys in a bar.

I loveee the confrontation between both of them, Rick before this never had someone that was as smart as the Governor to challenge him mentally.

The governor was my favorite character. He could have had his own spin off.

the Governor's biggest strength as a leader was how he can sway people's views to his side. I genuinely believe the Governor would have let him and the rest get out, there wasn't anything in his voice or body language that says he would want to Kill them at that minute. Obviously he still remembers the past but is focused on the current situation.

This episode is one of my favorite mid season finale’s of TWD ever. The directing music and cinematography in this episode was amazing. It’s also heartbreaking because we pretty much knew what it was building towards when the governor raised that sword. Awesome vid as always!

Did anyone see the goof with the Governor? He was aiming out of his lost eye. I never noticed that until someone pointed it out on Facebook.

I won't point one specific moment, but Rick's last episode (9x05) would be a great one for analysis, Andy is such and amazing actor. 👍

I'm thinking of this being about the actors delving into the char so much, some actors got completely lost in it. Either it's that or they've been taught body analysis and it's that miraculous of acting skills. But IMO I think it's just taking on the roll as the micro expressions just seem so natural to be acting, fully.

I'd love to see your analysis of the moment Negan breaks Rick while making him cut off Carl's arm with the axe.

Ah...the glory days of The Walking Dead. The anticipation...just being on the edge of your seat from week to week. Also, discussions with fellow fans (some being total strangers) during the course of a season and during mid season and season finale breaks. Damn, I really, really miss those days.

I would have liked to have known what would of happened if the governor took rick up on his offer. Could have been an interesting storyline, seeing the two groups try to coexist. But in all honesty, Rick made a bad call here, he should have left the prison with his friends and live to fight another day. This wasn't a good strategy because the governor was clearly never going to agree to his proposal.

I'm very surprised you didn't comment on Rick's little back step. He takes a step back and move forward again before talking, like he wanted to stop and run before forcing himself to keep going.

Suggestion: Training Day - A. Diner Scene at beginning of film or B. Scene where Alonzo tries to course Jake in to lying after Alonzo’s group killed Roger. They are sitting in a car speaking solely with one another.

You should react to some red dead redemption 2 scenes or any games with motion capture

With your chess board set, I think the governor lined up his army like chess pieces, and was earlier when teaching the kid chess game

The very villain in the show and most of the comics where changed rick s and his group forever...

Alot of people love tro cry about how this show should have ended over and over and over. But there is no denying, the show is still going for a reason. And this here is part of that reason. The acting is superb. Andrew Lincoln (wich sadly isn't on the show anymore) was trouly one of the best aspects of the show. Any scene that demands alot of him tend to be the best. He is great at being the main character. But it's like, the more stress he has to face, the better he does. A scene like this doesn't work unless the actors sell it. And they really do sell it. I really miss these old seasons. When the show ends with Season 11 i'm gonna do another rewatch of it. I've been with this since Day one. And it's one of my favorite shows ever.

I think you could've at least gone up to when the Governor says "Liar!" Then not show the death...
