The Boogeyman is loose in the Hospital and only Gabrielle, Jigsaw or people getting bored and shutting the movie off can stop him! phelous.com / phelous Originally Released: July 4, 2011
Fun Fact: "Mr. 7th Heaven Mark" (Actor David Gallagher) is the voice of Riku in the Kingdom Hearts Series and "Cutter girl" (Actress Mae Whitman) who is best known for playing Katara in Avatar the Last Airbender also played Yuffie in Kingdom Hearts, so that means.... *DOUBLE BIG KINGDOM HEARTS ACTOR MOMENTS*.
A horror involving fears like this could work. It could even involve the boogeyman as the figure behind it all. It could be interesting watching a mental hospital deal with their phobias and weather or not it what was happening was real and possibly overcoming them, Seeing characters overcome their intense phobias made surreal reality by supernatural means in a mental hospital could be interesting but this movie just plain sucks
Worst run hospital ever. The patients are not being monitored and they have access to things that can be used to harm themselves or others. How did that guy even get drugs?
Looking at it now as an adult I realize that I saw this movie at a weirdly young age and it probably solidified my fear of mental hospitals. It's carried over into adult life, but now it's just evolved into a fear of shitty movies.
5:45 Ah, good. This 2007 movie is attempting to follow the formula M. Night Shyamalan used in nearly all of his 2000s films. Specifically that 'A quirk equals a developed character' formula.
So on one hand it kinda makes sense for staff to not have the emergency exit key on them at all times because of the chance that a patient could steal it off of them, but they should at least have one in the security office
It actually wouldn't take too much rewriting to make either of these films work. There's a nice vagueness to how real the Boogeyman is, in this one. Was he real, killed the parents, and possess the brother? Or were the parents killed by a random psycho, and the Boogeyman in the closet was just a hallucination as the brother went completely insane?
As disturbing as the maggot scene is, would they actually do anything if her skin isn’t necrotic? I guess maybe if she super wasn’t taking care of her cuts? Also I feel like most peoples first instinct (even if they’re prone to SH and extremely distressed) would be to cut themselves out of the duct tape bindings and shake the maggots off / rub them off on the mattress. Maybe they would try to cut them out if they’re desperate and panicked enough but she just straight slit her wrists instead of picking them out.
That psycatric instituation must be very incompetent. As henry besides his boggy man phobia was fairly well adjusted. After his stay he became a murderer.
"So that's one pretty terrible hospital--they turned someone who was just overly scared of everything into a MURDERER!" Being a doctor who does that to his patients would actually be a great backstory for Jigsaw as far as I'M concerned:):) Yep, THIS one I saw on TV, and I actually found it interesting to watch just to see all of those poor kids get it based on their illnesses. Unfortunately Laura really ruins it for me by seeming so fan-fiction-self-insertion-y:/ If HENRY was the lead and they did the thing where it was all in his head to reveal he had been trapped in the closet freaking out the whole time with Jigsaw and the other patients outside listening, even Gabrielle with whom he could've bonded over their shared fears being linked to their mothers' deaths...
I am watching all of these Boogeyman videos out of order thanks to how RU-vid is providing them to me... but all I keep thinking about is the Boogeyman from Sinister etc... I think that needs to be addressed
This movie seems pretty confused as to whether it wants to be a psychological horror, or torture porn. The entire thing about it being a normal human killer just makes no sense at all. The whole thing about ironic deaths felt pretty phoned in as well.
yea unlike Phelous I preferred the 1st as it was trying something this seems more like a cop out and Tobin Bell is better than this crap as hes basically the only good actor in saw and he dies in the 3rd so that's saying something
Ok, I get panic attacks happen, but like the Roger Corman Thing power fluctuations, you cannot just have it out of the blue happening because you want to force circumstances. Also, one attack and she’s in the hospital? She was totally cool until the plot needed it. No counseling, meds, group? Hospitals are for sick and or potential dangers to themselves or others. This is at most maybe talking to a counselor about.
I find it hilarious that Lucy Lawless who plays Xena was in Boogeyman 1 and Renee O'Connor who plays Gabrielle on Xena is in this one. How the heck did that happened?? XD
so zena was in the last one, Gabrielle in this one, last one had older brother from seventh heaven, this one had younger brother, last one should have been a human killer, instead of supernatural, this one was a human killer........ and then theirs jigsaw......and a stupid plot....
Uh, how did he commit suicide? Competent hospitals make it kind of hard. Unless he stabbed himself in the brain with colored pencils, that would be difficult
I honestly think for every 50th review you should review a good horror movie, you know just to mix things up. I heard that movie Troll Hunter is pretty good.
So this is like a bootleg Nightmare on Elm St. 😆 And *I liked Xena's appearance in the first movie more.* At least I had some entertainment from laughing at it. Gabrielle's appearance in this was just boring. 💦
4:30- The light suddenly turned off which caused her to be a little freaked out. It's not THAT weired. 7:13- Well, after doing so research (aka Google search), I discovered that bogyphobia IS a real thing. 9:38- Reminds me of one of the earliest episodes of "Brad Tries..." where he eats those edible bugs. 10:52- I just reminded myself of another horror movie that mostly takes place in a hospital with a handfull of people. Halloween II, whichg is also the 2nd entrie of a film series. Weird, I know.
The first time I saw this I was in a group home after a cbat program ( basically a mental hospital) but staff won't push u like how they do in this movie.
Unbelievable, Mr.Phelous, but aTweet notification regarding Minnesota State Senator Scott JENSEN appeared on my iPhone 📱 Screen RIGHT AT 12:30 as JENSEN’s file was found?!?! WOW 😮 , is the BOOGEYMAN targeting ME ?!
With her freaking out in the dark closet, it seems more like she has Nyxtophobia(fear of the dark), and Necrophobia(fear of corpses) both of which I have atop Monophobia(fear of being alone) and the fear of silence and even a fear of to much noise both of which can cause me to go into psychosis or anxiety attacks. Which stems from non-combat PTSD and bipolar disorder
horror movie 1 o 1 :all ppl are suppose to be stupid so bad guy can easyly kill them plot cant be to sensible since it would be to complicated for the director and lastly all ppl need to die regardless .so in other woards bad guys cool while humans drool
I think you aren't really seeing what is happenings. Like the hallway were the lights go off following the guy afraid of the dark is just him flicking the switch, and the bugs are not 100+ but maybe like 3, but give that person a knife in reatch and she will kill herself. And the main character is afraid of the bogyman and will see him in anything bad. If you see it like that it works a lot better.
