Also, they're clearly a nod to the hotrods that Lucas himself made a film about. I get that they're out of place but I believe the intent behind their inclusion and use is genuine and in keeping with a true 'Star Wars ethos'.
You're right those bikes are so stupid and that had to be the slowest speed chase scene ever. Those bikes would fit in on Corusant or Andor but not Tattooine. If they were like rat bikes, yes, totally believable but not shiny and bright.
Furion..... at the 4:40 mark, or so..... you called it a "Bantha Stick". It's actually called a "Gaffii Stick" (according to the original action figure packaging, Though I may be spelling it wrong. It's been over 45 years, man.... cut me some slack). I had several of the figures, because there were "more than one of them" as I told my grandmother. Same with Stormtroopers, Jawas (which were the hardest ones to get back in 1978/79). Also, I absolutely LOVED this series! While some had issues with how it "jumped around" between the flashbacks and current time.... I could follow it. But then again, I have read many books that did the same thing. 5:45 - Don't look down on what happened to him in Return of the Jedi. If THAT hadn't happened, we wouldn't be getting THIS series!
Good to see you’re back on the Star Wars. As far as the biker gang is concerned I think it makes sense. We need to keep in mind it’s almost a decade after Jabba had died. No way those snivelling fucks ruling Tatooine were getting by the same kickbacks as the Hutts were. People are starting to prosper. It’s the 1960s London mod culture, poor working class folk and a scooter. Just like American Graffiti, kids and their immaculate hot rods. They were… ok
I think Clone Wars is a show you could easily do due to the nature of the smaller episodes. It's probably easier to edit than other shows an I think a lot of people would like to see your thoughts on it. Filoni really poured a lot of love into it.
This show was like 65-75% good. People over-focused on the subpar/bad stuff that was in it. I had a lot of fun and each week gave us a few cool surprises and moments. It's not what we expected it to be, which is probably the major reason behind the negativity people have toward it. Hindsight 20/20, this could have been Season 3 of the Mandalorian if they spread out some more Grogu/Luke stuff and got Mando involved earlier. I don't get hung up on the name of shows or whose show it's supposed to be but that's also why I think naming a show after a specific character is risky because people get angry of focus is put on anybody else.
I know it's not exactly profitable to release a full season in one video, but I very much prefer this format when it comes to shows that have been out for a while.
@@adam9ezzedine True. But you have to see things from his perspective. Getting 50k views on one video vs getting 50k views on 7-10 separate videos makes a huge difference.
@@cardiac19 kenobi was alright too. I found the Hidden Path to be a very interesting parallel to the Underground Railroad. The duels against Vader were also worth it and it was nice to see Leia and Bail in it. Just kinda wish the other inquisitors could’ve done something, they were just sorta…there.
I gett the point about the mods being able to afford their parts (& mopeds) but not water, but in all fairness i know tons of people who havent got a pot to piss in but have rrally nice cars, or pc setups, or stupid branded clobber or tons of other stuff, so that doesnt mither me too much. Amd while i get the gripes (& like Kenobi think this series missed some opportunities) i liked it overall.
Actually there was a cut scene where Luke is in Jabba's Palace talking to Boba but they decided not to put. I made a post about this on Twitter and went viral.
Book Of Boba Fett was a Walk in to a jog in to a fall, tumbling and scraping your face and knees, getting back on their knees and pushing as much as you can to get up and barely being able to walk away.
With the Tusken Raiders you have to remember that between their deaths and Boba taking Hutts territory he had to leave planet to get his armor from Din. Also you have to realize that if the Raiders weren't killed off he most likely would have stayed with the tribe.
Yoda: Luke, you can’t be with your friends. You can’t save them if you want to be a Jedi. Luke goes with his friends and learns how to be a Jedi and is a Jedi Master. Luke: Grogu, you can’t be with your friends and be a Jedi Everyone: hey!!!! What the heck dude???? That’s what the Jedi did and they all died. You did the opposite and gave meaning to being a Jedi and now you’re telling Grogu that opposite? C’mon man!
For a show that is supposed to be about Bobba Fett, The Mandalorian and Grogu were the best parts. I like your idea of a Jedi Master Luke series. It is a period of Luke's life that's barely been explored.
There was an after credits scene in the last ep. I think Boba's change happened with the Tusken tribe. And he told Fennec he didn't want to be a Hunter anymore. So he would lead a family. The show had a huge obstacle to overcome. Boba was barely a character in the original trilogy. Everything with him was built up in people's minds and imaginations. It was probably impossible to satisfy all expectations.
He's not even remotely the same character from what we saw in Mando, so I just don't buy the argument that I've built up this character in my mind. He's weaker, less competent, and FAR more nice/diplomatic.
@@HaleFire7 I don't know. I thought he showed loyalty and a softer side in Mando when he promised to save Grogu and reunite him with his Dad. And showing Din that the armor belonged to his father and rightfully his. Not to mention saving Fennec, etc. But I do think they made a mistake calling it The Book of Boba Fett. They should just have had it be The Mandalorian Season 3.
Even Temuera has been critical about the show since it ended, and has stated that the writers didn’t understand Boba’s character or legacy. Kenobi was even worse and Season 3 of The Mandalorian was flat out terrible. Andor was pretty good. Hoping for the best with Ahsoka, but Disney is on a huge cold streak right now regarding Star Wars, Marvel, and even Pixar and Indiana Jones.
Great reaction, Man. I was missing your reactions to this series, when it first came out. Ultimately, to me (and many other SW Fans) it ended up being a mixed bag. The firing of Gina Carano, and Kennedy & Co.'s meddling with The Vespa Gang (and their distinctive bikes, which Favreau didn't like AT ALL), contributed to it. Without question: Chapters 5 and 6 of The Book Of Boba Fett are some of THE BEST Star Wars storytelling, since 1983's Return Of The Jedi. Many (including myself) have speculated that these two episodes were originally meant to be Chapters 17 and 18 of Season 3 of The Mandalorian; but, the cancellation of Rangers Of The New Republic, and Favreau's displeasure with the reduced budget for TBOBF, led to other key chapters in the series being removed, and the Mando-related story filling in the gap. When you watch Season 3 of Mando, you'll see why these 2 chapters would've made more sense and had a WAY BETTER IMPACT on Din Djarin's overall story, had they aired then. May The Force Be With You, Mate. P.S. In all likelihood, some of this story, action, and its characters will play a role in by Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew, this Summer and late Fall-into-Winter. P.P.S. Yes, Mark Hamill was present for all of the scenes...he and another actor (who looked remarkably like Mark) both blocked and portrayed Jedi Master Luke Skywalker for The Book Of Boba Fett. The CGI was nearly flawless and completely believable. Rosario Dawson played that entire scene with Mark Hamill, and she didn't know she would be acting with him, until she entered the scene on-set. A truly great moment in The SWU...
This show failed on some level, but it definitely had some great moments and I had fun watching it (and your reaction). I ADORE episode 2! I believe they could learn from the mistakes of the first season and make an epic 2nd season....but we shall see. Andor is next?!? Andor is my favorite Star Wars content so far, ever.
This was such a let down. I mean the mando stuff was so cool but I would be upset if I was a mando fan who didn't watch this series and there is all that stuff at the end that should be part of mando season 3.
This show is a let down, as you've said. They just LOVE to make main characters into support characters for some female versions. Wait until you see Mandalorian s3.
Sith, you have to remember we're living in the woke world of Kathleen Kennedy. While the showrunner was Robert Rodriguez, it was Kennedy who oversaw everything and she wanted the mob gang and to sideline Boba because "woke woman" stuff. Just like Rey. I know Temuera Morrison was less than pleased with this version of Boba.
