Maybe or maybe Huey is lying about his story being true so the old men would shut up. After all rashoman stories where you know the true answer. Kinda fail as rashoman stories. And in an extra twist Tobias wrote the screenplay of rashoman before Kurosawa.
"my catcher freeman wasn't no slave tho, cuz he was like fuck that shit, imma real nigga know what i'm sayin? plus he had like 300 hoes, he ain't had just no Thelma, he had all kinds of bitches, & he drove bently coupe wit twenty foes on it with machine guns in the rimz nigga what" LOL
i like how huey's version has time accurate weapons like, capaction revolvers and they actually fight with cutlasses cause black powder guns take so much time to reload, like this is how django unchained should have been.
I love how catcher freeman is just like Grandpa in the sense that he's greedy and selfish as hell, which blows up in his face most of the time and he just has roll with it from there
@@undeadhound3402 it’s because of how ridiculous Catchers predicament is at first glance you’d think it’s nonsensical but once you actually see it play out you realize *Damn That Makes Way More Sense*
@@jimhag7822 Lol, yeah. I mean, Putin conveniently "left" the KGB the day before the Soviet Union collapsed or something. It's all about opportunity and knowing when to cash in.
RC OOM- 1576 there arent really that many youth in college with kids unless its like community college maybe or trade. Having kids before college wouldn't be a thing any one group owns anyway. you see those trends with people less better off in general.
Man was playing both sides. I mean siding with Thelma and the uprising is still the more beneficial choice but as a house slave he had a pretty cushy life compared to those in the fields so if the revolt failed he’d still be doing better than them. A fairly well treated slave is still a slave, let’s not pretend it’s anything else but he probably had the best life one could have. I see where Robert favors him.
While this is probably the most accurate one, unless Tobias confessed, either verbally or written, his intention to shoot Thelma instead of Massa, even this version is pretty suspect. Considering where Graddad and the boys came from before going to Woodcrest, Thelma and Tobias going to Canada is probably unlikely, too.
Wait a second... slave woman who's never held a sword before going toe-to-toe and disarming a full grown man AND former soldier? The fuck is this? Also Riley's version is best version.
Maybe she trained herself? She's not the only person who freed herself by learning how to fight by piecing things together from observation and self-practice. Just look at Lautaro of the Mapuche.
Anyone else feel kinda bad for Catcher? He spent his whole life in bondage (albeit in conditions a bit more cushy than most), and was never claimed by his father. The same day he was finally validated by the only parental figure he had known, that figure died.
I like how Thelma suddenly knows how to shoot and fight with a sword... Oh look and she shoots with such high accuracy despite using a gun from the late 1800's, very impressive. I'm just criticizing cus that's part of the fun lol.
Weapons from the late 1800s were pretty accurate. The Wentworth rifle was capable of sub-minute of angle accuaracy at 1800 yards. That was one of the reasons why the American Cvil War was a bloody as it was, rifles became something that every soldier had and they still fought fought like they did centuries prior.
