Zane : I've always been really good with assassin type character like Zero so that's my bread and butter, plus he knows Zero cuz he say " I know that guy, we used to go to the same assassin bars"
One pro worth mentioning for characters with a pet/clone is that the additional aggro target makes it easier for the player to hit weak spot on the enemy’s back.
Hahahaha. That need to be special and not to do what you like just because others do it ... is very immature. Be happy, play whatever you want, or you'll end up listening to weird music in your room alone and without real friends talking on chats. A friend got like this and cost to get it out. Peace

It's because everyone plays FL4K, FL4K gameplay and discussions are all you see online, and you end up knowing the character already without even playing him. And it's boring to play something you know already, playing something fresh and unknown is more interesting.
What I like about moze: She can solo some bosses in 30 seconds with ironbear. It feels great to burst enemys. You feel like a RPG character where you need to survive till your ULT is up and ready to rock

I think for Moze's co-op you're missing the fact that two early-game Shield of Retribution skills actually let you add a TON of damage to your teammates. A Moze properly built for co-op seems incredibly valuable.
Well, even when she isn't playing as a melee character, she still punches things. Just from a safe distance, or at least safe-ish. It is her thing, after all. You are not safe from her punches at any distance.
Sounds like the answer to who is the best Vault Hunter is: what do you want to do? Doesn't seem like there is one best character that everyone should play. For you, for example, Amara is the best character, for others, somebody else. I love that this game seems to be offering so much choice and so many viable ways of playing the game.
Same, when I first saw amara I instantly loved the melee, but he fact is there aren’t really other builds as strong but seem to synergies well with melee, not to mention my weeaboo brain got a dopamine rush when she first pulled out that rasengan phaseslam
Amara looks really fun, especially after checking out Admiral Bahroos theory crafting on her, but im going to play her second. Im going to play zane first, because I love everytig about his design and kit. He basically is the rogue, and will be as difficult and rewarding as a rogue should be.
I *was* going to be rolling with Moze, however after watching several videos on all of the characters I've decided to start off with Zane. His versatility allows a lot of options for survivability and my previous favorites were Axton and the Mechromancer, and two of Zan'e abilities seem like a literal marriage of both of these characters with a huge amount of mix-and-match. I've leaned away from Moze simply because of the long cooldown of her single ability.

Man, at first I wanted to play FL4K for his Rakk ability and insane damage, or ultra healing for team play. Then you showed off Zane's incredible versatility, so many cool build ideas, and the shield is also awesome for team play. THEN you showed me Amara and her melee build that I was unsure of how it worked. She reminds me so much of my favorite class is Mass Effect Multiplayer, the Vanguard with Biotic Rush and Nova. Not very team oriented but, my god does it look fun. You sir, have now made my decision about 100 times harder.

@@AC-fe6ck na I main Zane but I put in a couple hours into moze and it's actually really fun. You can have a chemical mech, normal or mixed. Although there is a bug when entering the mech that sometimes triggers when entering the mech if you get attacked it will just end and you have to wait for it to recharge.
Amara: elemental damage mixed with phasegrasp. The singularity effect and auto seeking a new enemy when phasegrasped enemy is killed. With maliwan weapons she will be a face melting, crowd controlling queen of the elements each enemy is weak to. She’s not just good, she’s amazing. She amplifies the inherent weaknesses of each enemy with bonuses to elemental damage in her skills

You can spec in a way where your gun fires a grenade, your Digi clone drops grenades and your drone fires them as well as well as Regen grenades and buff your clone using them ect......Zane is a very powerful character....
"Zane doesn't have powerful capstones" Eh... Seein' Red disagrees. That beauty activates every kill skill you have at once every time you use an action skill and you have two of those available. I'm not saying is as powerful as other final skills, but I can't say it isn't powerful.

I'm playing Amara. Lilith was my first character in the first game, and Maya was my first character in the second game, so may as well keep with the theme. Not very interested in the melee playstyle, but the elemental skills in addition to the survival skills make her very appealing to me. Light them on fire, shock them, melt them, and barely take a scratch in the process.
Way i see em: Fl4k: best for new players [11 skills with health regen] + pets and stealth. Auto include in raid teams Zane: most versatile so hard to say what end build will actually be useful Moze: Glass cannon. Auto include in raid teams. Amara: Sirens = Elements. Lifesteal = aggro playstyle. Least desirable for raid honestly but im maining her anyway.
I actually think that Amara will be very important because she is the tank of the team and can take the agro of enemies, personally I’m still going to play moze!! I can’t wait to never have to reload and use her mech
"Dont use Zane if you want to use grenades" whoa hold on. I have hardly played any other characters. Still working hard to beat the campaign just once. My god this campaign is long and I love it. I have been playing Zane almost exclusively. One thing that I love about him is the free grenades. I use clone and sentinel. Both of which are about to throw free grenades at enemies. They use your grenade mod. So you can have quasar, electric for shields. I usually go with nirv type grenades for large aoe. There is also a skill which allows your gun to fire a free grenade on first shot. Great for low clip guns. Point is, he spits grenades out everywhere in a large area. And it doesn't cost you grenades. Even better than this.. clone is firing gun fir single target dps, this helps to clear low hp and low priority targets in an area. Sentinel is not o ly chuckie g grenades, but firing his own machine gun AND missiles for high single target dps. Plus.. me running around.. so at a single time in my max dps I have 3 individual fighters on the field. All 3 of which have skills to throw grenade mod at night cost at random targets. This spits out so much dam aoe it wipes out small targets easily and you can basically ignore them. This allows me to keep my focus on critical points of high priority targets. While my clone tanks a fair share of damage off of me. I focus on kill skill chains. As it is so easy to wipe out small targets you can build your stacks and then focus a full clip on a strong target then hide behind cover. Sure he is a little bit lacking in defense.. kinda.. but also not really. The high mobility makes it very easy to use terrain as cover and keep yourself protected from taking gun fire. He also has the ability to vamp percwntage of damage dealt as health gain. Also has a skill whereby when clone takes damage, you gain shield. Also has kill skill where you gain hp regen for a period. Yes he reminds me of gaige, but also reminds me of the commando from b2 a little. Mostly though he makes me think of Wilhelm from pre sequel. Where Wilhelm had 2 drones that went out, one to keep you alive one to go and attack using explosive and element. The huge advantage there was to freeze targets with a nice Malian weapon and let the explosives deal massive damage. The same technique can be used here where a skill allows you to gain cryo on weapon swap. So for a fast fighting situation where I flip through my weapons multiple times I am spreading cryo for my aoe explosive to tear things up even more. When I look at a grenade mod I think gee what aoe skill do I want to augment myself with? Because I know they will be tossed in every direction. Some will miss, but many will hit and deal lots of extra damage.

Go down the digi-clone tree and you get grenade regen on kill, your clone throws a nade on spawn and deaths, has a chance to throw a nade with every kill, and you throw a free nade every 8 seconds ish while firing your gun. You can have entire segments of maps where you never fire your gun on mayhem 3 and still walk away with full grenades, he has one of the most fun Grenade skill trees of any borderlands games
Maybe he meant throw grenades, because Zane is most effective when he has both skills active. Idk why you would want to use grenades anyway, investing in grenade skills is kind of a waste imo, you’re using up points that could be used in much better skills 🤷♂️

I was initially taken aback by the length of your video, but what I need to do is, thank you. I gave up on B3 after launch as unlike B1,B2 & PS it just didn't grab me or my colleagues, something about it just didn't 'click' for us, so to speak. But thanks to your great efforts, we've gone ahead, spent the hard earned cash on the Ultimate Edition, while on sale, to give it a more focused playthrough now that we have a better idea where to come at it from. We'll also be paying this fwd, to those whom we know we're put off by the cringe-worthy storyline and move away from B2, towards focused gameplay, the big world and all those builds you mentioned that sound nifty. Smile on my face the entire video, each VH sounds like so much fun, I wanna go flak because I love using jakobs guns but zane was my first pick. Now you show me what Amara can do.... wow she looks like so much fun! I cannot wait to play this game!
I'm currently 500 hours into the game and find it funny that I don't really recognize any of the things talked about. Thing is I'm an old fart and have a very hard time learning new skills. For instance I played through the game using Moze and probably didn't use IronBear more than ten times. I just got into the fight and forgot everything about the skills that have a cool down. It's been the same with all the hunters. Amara? Straight up fighting, minimal use of the special talents and never punched anything that didn't explicitly needed to be punched, and then I had to hunt for that key, some times entering the options to find out just what it was bound to. Same with grenades. I keep collecting an equipping interesting grenade mods, and then I never use them... Only grenades I ever found a use for were hunter seekers and those teleporting ones as those can be used to snipe at long range. The rest I just can't use. Again I'm an old fart with the reflexes and coordination of a drunken sloth. Then we have Zane... Yep played through the game using him to. Never used his abilities, and stayed as far away from the kill skills as humanly possible. Not being able to use grenades was only frustrating me at one point, the grenade tossing event at that birthday party, and it was perfectly fine just ignoring that event. Finally Fl4k. For this playthrough I did use his pets, but the abilities? Forgot all about them... Currently I have several chars at lv 60+ and has been playing around with Mayhem LV11. The last few run throughs I've finally started to learn to use the special abilities and I have to say it makes things much easier. Moze LV65 is a beast in IronBear, and no slouch with her feet on the ground...
it seems like when you were talking about skill trees you really should have brought up the fact that going into a skill tree and getting the capstone leaves a considerable amount of skill points to go into other trees. the way you made the skill trees with moze out to be are way underselling their potential to make up for weaknesses with other skill trees
I really care more about their voice acting, back story, how they fit in the campaign, what personality they have, and how funny are they. Please make a video about this

Moze has FAR more in common with Brick and Salvador than she does Roland and Axton. I thought that was pretty obvious based on her being the tankiest vault hunter, having an explosive damage specialization, the bottomless mags tree and having an action skill being a dual wielding walking tank.
Borderlands 2 i loved the Mecromancer, because the ultimate power Robot came in so handy, so whatever character can create a companion to fight alongside them, will probably be my starting character.
That's what I'm saying. I'm just watching this video for fun. But Idk if i can take what he saying seriously, especially when you see him using a fire weapon against enemies with shields and cryo against enemies that are immune. Its whatever tho.
He also said that Zane would not be good with grenades his drone and digi clone can both drop grenades not to mention that 3 grenades boosts the digi clone damage by a crap load.
She offers some for co op but she ain’t as co op centric as many people reported on early. People literally saw the dakka bear skill and assumed she was co op based. Everyone provides stuff for co op. Nobody is a co op character tho.
Moze so that I can destroy everyone/everything in endgame and I just love the satisfaction of just lazering someone in a blink of an eye😩 Oh and EXPLOSIONS 💥💥💥💥
Drowning in brass is an amazing team skill. Everyone gets constant 60% damage increase without the fire rate decrease which makes Moze excellent for team play
I think Zane is actually one of the best picks for grenade builds. With his clone and sentinel dropping grenades. And his clone does insane damage. Watched another bid the other day and it just looked insane how he melted bosses
Definitely in the same boat. Gave me some doubts about Zane. The voice acting I’ve heard from Amara still makes me hesitant to pick her. She’s stoic and a little bland especially when you compare to Zane and Fl4k
No disrespect to Ryan, but he obviously doesn't have a good grasp on the best Zane builds. I mean he said not to run Zane if you like grenades. Zane clearly has the best grenade build in the game
If you play with a friend, they can also pet your pet. It's cute. But then I had a duel with my friend, and his pet wouldn't let me pat him after that! He just covered me in lava!
I'm gonna play all of them and make my own opinion on them which is probably what everyone should do but I still love to watch these videos and get other peoples opinions
Moze levelling can't be worse than Krieg ever was.. seriously, early levels as Krieg were a PAIN as all early skills are either useless (the first one) or can get you killed (second gimped shields before you could get any major benefit from having no shields and especially before you don't have to rely on them anymore, and third tree.. just sets you on fire)
I always play a siren first so I will pick amara. I always like their Elemental builds they're always crazy DPS and really fun to use. I'm not a big fan of melee but her melee builds I've been looking at and going through on the Borderland site look really interesting and really fun to play with, says the person that doesn't like Melee builds so I'm pretty intrigued and fl4k looks pretty fun that's going to be my secondary and Mose looks really awsome with the meck. I normally never go assault but she looks really fun aswell. Gg on the vids by the way. They're always helpful with the videos and done well. So thx man.
Moze provides little to the group? Since when is 60% gun damage (3 stacks of drowning in brass) and 15% gun damage as fire damage after reloading considered to be little? Drowning in Brass is HUGE. 60% gun damage on 4 players is absolutely gargantuan and I'm surprised you overlooked it.
Moze has a lot of grp Buffs btw Drowning in Brass buff the whole group 60% Gun Dmg after 3kills. Selfless Vengeance gives the group after Moze is reloading 15% Incendiary Dmg. Full Can of Whoop-Ass gives the whole grp instant Shield recharge. Target Softening: Enemy Damage Taken: +15% do you need more ? ;D
I think you’d play Zane kinda like playing Jack from pre sequel esp with how you can have all kill skill up by using ur action skill or killing ur clone for a second win
Kinda bummed out about the mech not staying very long. It should just have a healthbar (like in titanfall) that can’t be repaired. Once it’s broken you lose it.
Yep, just as I thought Zane is for me. And I love that accent, music to my ears. And I always forget to use grenades anyway... Well, in truth, I'm just so damn greedy I hold onto them until the bitter end.
even before watching this video, i thought of going Moze dual gatling gunner because of her ammo regen since i do have a decent aim so her ammo on crit hits should do well hopefully and the chance for Incendiary damage sound nice too, aswell as her own version of "The Bee" from BL2 :D
I’m struggling with choosing between Moze and Amara - deciding between weapon versatility and ability versatility. I like the cool crowd control of Amara but I really usually love having that one skill you blow to melt down bosses that Moze seems to offer. I’m leaning toward Moze, but then again the lack of mobility kinda bothers me. I guess having two characters you REALLY wanna play is a good problem to have I suppose.
Probably how we're all gonna do it But I see something more In a few skills I saw A high fire rate weapon might be way better then a gun you gotta reload every shot Sooo I'mma be using a shredifier and tear some health bars up
what you want for max dps is looking like stalker ability and invest until you get the 4th augment.. then max the hunter tree for max crit damage.. also you dont need to snipe or run Jakobs with fl4k. if you spec in stalker right when you do 25% more dmg when you arent targeted all weapons will do hella dmg
You know what I learned from this video? That you are supposed to play in a 'go all out' type of gameplay. Previously, I was trying to play this game like a far cry/ igi type of shooter, where I was crouching behind barriers for long periods of time, and trying to play it safe. Of course I got hit as there is peeking mechanic. This is much better.
i'm confident that's not going to be very relevant when the guns get stronger and the enemies get harder unless this dakka bear turret is busted strong permanent 15% team incendiary gun damage mixed with 20-60% gun damage for the whole team depending on how quickly moze is burning through people sounds an awful lot more impactful when they're skills that are more than good enough to pick up if you're playing solo and just go bonkers with more and more friends dakka bear might look fun, but that's not ryan's argument, which was about supportive utility
so when he says Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode... he actually means "True Vault Hunter Mode" because I thought that BL3 base game does not include an Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode?
@@oOoJeeoOo You acutally don't have to do two playthroughs this time around because of the Circle of Slaughter and Proving Grounds. However, contrary to what another comment said above, the devs said they still want players to do a second playthrough with their character.

I'm 100% going FL4K. He has all that I could ever want. My friend Ethan and I theorized 4 different builds for him, including a mass party health battery build that makes your entire party basically invincible.
Before watching video: I'm thinking either Amara or Zane, Amara because i've always loved playing the sirens and Maya was by all-time favorite character to play in all of the games so far and Amara is bringing back the phaselock. Zane because having 2 abilities is badass and all 3 of them sound amazing. Also i think his Irish accent is cool. After watching video: Amara, totally Amara. All the way, not looking back. The addition you could have added in the beginning is the buffs also make the pets get larger. (And as a side note/critique:add they can sometimes get in the way XD.)
Moze has a skill that gives every one in the team 60% more damage, yet you say the only thing she offers is the mech seat. It's the best damage increasing buff that can be given to teammates in the game. I think you need to correct that otherwise you're misinforming people kinda.

Yeah definitely fl4k, I don’t care how many people chose him, I just remember playing as Mordecai in bl1 with blood wing and just destroying everything, I’m glad something similar is back in that sense. It’s much better that, that pet is always out so cool
I'm going Zane through and through. I'm anxious to try out my digi-clone build but the problem is, I'll need to be max level to really pull it off because I pretty much need every single skill point possible. So, getting him to that level might prove a bit more challenging than others but I think it'll really pay off once he's there!
I’ll be playing FL4K first to due to crazy damage potential and he is another badass robot my second choice would be Zane the ability builds seems kinda crazy plus that Oni mask is amazing 😂

So one thing to note on Zane. You can use grenade if you don't use a second ability. They grenade spam with a splitting grenade and your clone throwing grenades seems hilarious.
