Basically: Claptrap ends up as a annoying robot in Fyrestone OG Vault Hunters destroy the destroyer by order of Jack (they were deceived) Hyperion reprograms that same Claptrap to kill all vault hunters and bandits Claptrap grows aware of how claptraps are mistreated and starts the Robolution almost ending all life on Pandora. The OG Vault Hunters stop him. He is reclaimed by hyperion and turned back into a regulae steward bot He meets Jack who he then tells him was once a Ninja Assassin. At the same time Tassiter hides the H Source inside claptrap Jack tries to reprogram Claptrap into Fragtrap to help him find the vault on Elpis but fails and abandons him on Pandora Claptrap ends up in Overlook while at the same time a contest looking for vault hunters (organized by Blake on Jack's orders) so happens to be occuring at the same time. Claptrap accidentally kills all the contestants and tons of Overlook citizens by sheer stupidity. Gets selected as the fourth vault hunter being the only one left. Ends up on Helios and later Elpis in the Pre Sequel. Killing bandits, defeating the Lost Legion and finding the Vault. Jack turns into Handsome Jack and takes over Hyperion. Finds out the H Source is in claptrap. He then proceeds to send his Vault Hunters into claptrap's mind to retrieve the H Source. Claptrap relives his memories of Fyrestone and Overlook. Releases Shadowtrap (who was original Fragtrap programming) who they must defeat to retrieve the H Source and put a stop to his plans of taking over claptrap's body and the galaxy. H Source recovered, Shadowtral defeated, he shuts down all claptrap units and betrays Claptrap. Handsome Jack disposes of all claptrap units in the windsheer wastes. Shadowtrap, still not dead inside Claptrap's body, sacrifices himself and in the process the fragtrap programming to give power to Claptrap's body to get his revenge on Handsome Jack. Hammerlock fends off Knuckle Dragger and finds that Claptrap still has some power left. He then decides to repair him. Then Borderlands 2 begins.
I kinda wonder why did Shadowtrap sacrificed himself for that. Couldn't he just try to take over the body by sacrificing Claptraps consciousness to give it power?
Soul Fox32 Dude, he kept trying to kill Claptrap, especially after the part where Claptrap refused to join him! How in the ever living Hell that is Pandora does that show that he "cares" about him!?
Wow! It is heartbreaking hearing Claptrap's reaction to the product line kill switch! "But, but I...I-I saved you all!" Even after defeating his evil version by siding by those he considered his friends, it only ended with both him and his entire race being wiped off the face of the galaxy. Poor Claptrap... :,(
So in the end..... We were the Monsters all along...... And That Final Boss within ClapTrap..... He gave his the last of his existence to keep Claptrap alive long enough for Hammerlock to save him.....
I bought the DLC today and when i saw the end i was like: Fuck you Jack In the whole DLC is shown how claptrap actually feels about things and how lonely he is. For example: his biggest fear is that others are lonely so he doesnt even thinks about himself. Also i like Claptrap most from all 6 vaulthunters
You know, eventhought in universe the Clap Trap units are all hated, Hammerlock still revived it (do you think he regret it) and Athena was displeased when Jack excuted him.
2:58 it never made sense to me why Athena would interrupt ClapTrap when he was finishing his story. Then I realized that when Jack destroyed the ClapTrap product line, he left ClapTrap alive. Jack did not kill off ClapTrap until the Dlc/ rest of presquel story was finished. Since there is no other Dlc that is probably why the timeline was so confusing

Well she was angry as fuck about that one Claptrap. Hell even Claptrap himself is pissed of as hell and ashamed of that one Claptrap Unit. So she probably did not think Jack was Serious at that time.
@@neptuneplaneptune3367 also add in to the fact cannonically, she then spent an entire quest with Claptrap. he probs had her back and maybe even saved her life a couple times. so even if she didnt care for the product line as a whole, she might have came to like this particular claptrap. at the very least she didnt want him "murdered" in such a way.

I realy hope we sea Claptrap ad Athena working Together again in B3. Would be realy cool if you can go Back to Elpis with the Two and than Claptrap says "Ah exactly how in the Good old Times!"
My only real gripe is that Jack executed the Claptrap that had helped him with all of his bullshit. Stabbing his allies in the back like people have done to him.
yeah, Nisha and Willelm are rather dumb, there's nothing to laugh about considering that Jack could backstab them anytime, as he just did with claptrap. And he actually will, so really, they should have nothing to laugh about.
He didn’t betray Nisha though, she became his girlfriend and he made her Sheriff of Lynchwood. Wilhelm though there’s rumors he poisoned him so the BL2 Vault Hunters could actually beat him (he was nearly invincible otherwise) and get the corrupted power core to lower Sanctuary’s defenses.

is there two different endings one is this good ending where Athena Apologize to claptrap and lilith says sorry to Athena for almost killing her. and the another ending that has Tiny Tina pickle With along side mordecai brick lilith And Athena and there they argue over the origin story about claptrap and they tall claptrap to shut up for saying I love you guys when he says no I'm Serious we're a team and mordecai say NO IM SERIOUS SHUT UP!
Honestly, I just finished this quest and gotta say I love that Aurelia shows sympathy for claptrap thru the quest , idk why they made her a villain in 3 when she honestly doesn't really scream villain just spoiled
yes and no. he was resentful towards humans because of the way they treated claptrap and thus wanted to kill them. but claptrap didnt want his friends to be hurt. so both were good guys just for different reasons.
The way I saw it was that Shadow realised that with the death of the claptraps he was about to be wiped from existence - you see that from how he was clinging to a small fragment of 'code' that remained. So he chose to sacrifice himself so that at least one claptrap could live on. Hurrah!
