Looking for a chorus-ensemble solina / 70s string machine like, I wonder if this pedal can emulate it on strings and pads. I know the Roland SDX 330 rack module would do it. What’s your opinion about it ?
I don't think the DC-2w is the right one for that. It is very broad and not quite as present. I could imagine that the Boss CE-2w is better suited for this.
Amazing what you can get from a £160 effects box on a €20,000 synthesiser! I have one of these wonderful synthesisers also, but have yet to upgrade the firmware to the arpeggiator version. Looking at your video, I must do this.
The pedal sounds very good but unfortuntaley you can hear the crackling noise when it's engaged because it can't handle line level signals, I think is designed to accept instrument level -20 dbu (guitar/bass)
You have to keep an eye on the input level, but the input behaviour of the DC-2w has been adjusted and is much less sensitive than the original. I have been using the DC-2w on the SCHMIDT for over 2 years and am very satisfied with the sound.
@@knobsswitches I have DC-2w as well and I like it, I think that if it would have been possible to equip it with a -10/+4 switch it would have fit very well in the modern pedal context. When the DC2-w is in use it with some "hot" output mono synth like the Vermona Mono Lancet I have to run it at 1/4 of the volume. It also clips with guitars that have high output humbuckers
While id prefer if it had a switch for line level, I've never had mine clip with any synth. Some of my other pedals do clip which is why I, in general I keep my synth output under 50%. So maybe that's why.
