Maybe if the Rays were to promote "Free Beer Until The End of the Season", watch how quickly Tropicana Field will get packed during Rays Games. That's how the Lightning got Fans during their Stanley Cup year 7 years ago. After the Rays gave away their House and Car(Only an expression), I just love seeing how much deeper they're sinking.
@SabatezZ I know, Tampa Bay Bandwagoners can be a real pain in the ass! When the Bruins were playing the Lightning for the Eastern Conference, I loved it when the Bruins won. There was this one Lightning "Fair Weathered" Fan who would not leave me alone when the Lightning won. But when the Bruins won. Where was he? And after the Rays had their Fire Sale after last year, I'm very glad to see them sinking, now 10 games out of First Place.

As long as their pitching holds up, they should make the playoffs. If they play the Central winner, they'll be in the ALCS. If they play Anaheim, they might have trouble making it past them.

@wartydrake These two teams have VERY distinct history of bad blood between them dating back to when Pedro martinez was in his prime. Beanballs galore is what led to this "other" rivalry.

Congrats. It took a historic September collapse by the Red Sox for the Rays to even make the playoffs, and they're still going to be eliminated in the first round, so really all they did was make their season last 4 more days. Big whoop.
I'll type it slowly and hope it translates, the Red Sox are on the verge of winning 3 in 5 years. If they win this year and they are the odds on favorite to do so, that would be their 3rd Series win in 5 years. There has been no controversy in either the Patriots or Red Sox wins. The Patriots never used any film that was confiscated during the 2007 season. It was obtained during the 1st half of the 1st game. Then they won 18 straight. And before that, the practice was legal. How 'bout them Bucs?
Boston will be first in the division by the end of the day. Maybe a month ago Tampa was playing better than Boston, but the Rays are showing their colors the past couple weeks. They are cracking under the pressure.

And considering that it got us somewhere we haven't been in 86 years, us Red Sox fans really don't care so as long as we our Sox winning! It also helps to a Genius for a General Manager in Theo Epstien. If the Yankees can be dominant by upholding a $200 Million+ Payroll annually. Why can't we do the same? It is called "Fight fire with fire".
@MrUhungry And going back to when the Red Sox suffered for 86 years. Back in that ERA the only team they had in Tampa Bay was the Yankees and that was only during Spring Training. How did feel to have your town taken over by a team you are now fighting in your own Division? Technically, the Yankees were in St. Petersburg. Which is basically the same shit anyway. And from what I understand, they still have Spring Training over there today.
Coming from a lifelong Rays fan. Coco got his ass handed to him. Jonny Gomes got 4-5 good rib shots on him while on the ground. But who really cares anymore, Coco got traded and Gomes sucks and left. We all know the Rays won that battle, i can't wait for this season. Good luck to the Sox too, the more competitive the better.
