Bourgogne Epic Carry 

Hey do you have a clan..I'm part of a Chinese clan and it gets hard for me to grind clan battles for steel as we don't speak the same language..Benn looking for an Indian clan to join for a while. Let me know if you have any options.

no no, he's right, some BB, the best example being République have such a short reload (I think Bourgogne, Ohio, Preussen and Thunderer are part of that group) have such short reload that, as a cruiser you can't guarantee yourself a free turn between shots (unlike let's take a caricatural example, Vermont). The gnome is too busy in the salt mine to spread his disease.

Honestly Bourgogne is better and I'm definitely a cruiser main. Stalingrad feels like a sluggish Slava, Bourgogne feels like a super-cruiser.

@@EvoraGT430 seeing as I don’t have Burger or Slava just yet (waiting on Sevastopol to see if that’s any good) I can’t directly compare them all like RU-vidrs can or people who put way more time into the game that I. But while Stalingrad might feel a little sluggish maneuverability wise, I still thoroughly enjoy the high tier Soviet super cruisers, purely for the armor scheme. Moskva is a great all arounder, Petro can smash at close range and tank for days, whereas Stalingrad can be highly survivable and punish the entire map if played in a good position. Plus in my experience, people still target Stalingrads like they’re just as OP as they used to be before the commander rework and all that. Which can be a detriment as you can easily melt if you’re not careful. But it also means I’ve had a number of games where half the enemy team tunnel-visions me while my team spanks them from behind because they can’t be bothered to try and deal with anything other than the Stalingrad that’s kiting the shit out of them. Again am I saying that Stalingrad is better than Bourgogne? No. But people act like Stalingrad is old news after all the changes the game has gone through, when it can still carry hard when played correctly. As with all of the steel ships, it’s a monster in the right hands, and pretty mid tier to somebody who can’t abuse its strengths and keep its weaknesses in check. Bourgogne can be a monster, but not if you just charge in and act like you can tank like any other BB. Incomparable can be a monster with its kit, but only if you’re picky about when, where, and how you engage or else you’ll evaporate. Even something like Austin can be threatening if you know when to use the reload booster, but somebody who just pops it on the first enemy the see isn’t going to see the same results as someone who knows how to time it. I get it’s a bit of a tangent, but I just don’t like how people treat Bourgogne like it’s the absolute best thing out there and you need to pick it up before anything else. Yes it’s good, but so are a lot of the other steel ships. I’d advocate for highlighting them all every once in a while, but I only see people constantly going on about Bourgogne, and only mentioning other ships when they’re newly added to the armory. Each one has a unique set of strengths or play styles, or both. And I feel like some people might be interested in some other ships in the armory, but forgo going after one that speaks to them, that they might mesh with better, just because everybody constantly sings Bourgogne’s praises. Again not saying it’s bad, I just feel like people don’t give the other ships enough credit.

Completely agree. I don't say it's bad ship but Stalingrad feels much better. Even Slava is ignored in research point ships. Everyone see only ohio... I picked Slava and... Hell that ship did exactly what i wanted, punish broadside faster then enemy react what's hes doing

I find she her tank is not getting hit, but with enough armor that she can usually turn out taking a bit of damage before running. I treat her like a cruiser and always make sure I am kiting, moving, and dodging (speed and rudder). Getting the legendary speed module is huge too, so much more time at high speed and with better speed control.

Play it more like a flanking/ kiting cruiser. It excels at that.

Na it's much better. Got alsace, hate it so far but that's a me problem rather than the ship. Got bourgogne and even in the few really bad games I've played in it it's still been fun. It's got better reload and the reload booster, it's a bit like Richelieu vs Jean Bart - same model same guns different reload, different consumables that just work out to make it feel and play much better. Sure there are a few more/wider differences between Richelieu and JB than alsace and bourgogne but the core changes in the guns reload alone make it play much better.

Do you have all the modules bought to increase accuracy? She does troll with shots but don't expect to hit all rounds with here, maybe 4 or 5 from all guns fired. She is also pretty particular to rounds loaded, I go back to HE a lot or aim higher with AP for superstructure/upper deck hits to make sure they hit and do damage. She relies on the 12 guns and fast reload to keep chipping away at enemy ships. Keep the guns firing and don't worry too much about exactly the number of hits and the damage numbers will suddenly be pretty high.

That's why I'm getting mecklenburg as my 1st steel ship, I'm just an average player and I think I can't utilize the full potential of Bourg.

@@Swarm509 Yeah, i use the accuracy module of course. But its overrated imo. Biggest problem are all the open high tier maps, CVs and constant HE spam by everyone and his mum. Rip for sneaky gameplay if there are always planes and Subs around...

@@mikkodoria4778 Makes sense. I for example got a 58% WR, lots of experience with BBs and heavy Cruisers but Bourg is still tough to master for me.

Slava is not nearly as flexible and cannot create opportunities for itself to nearly the same degree as Bourg can. It's good at punishing dumb enemies or misplays, but that does not make it unique. Nothing else plays like Bourgogne.

No, I have both and Bourgogne is better.

I have a number of ships that I feel the same way about. Kitakaze? Everyone says it is crazy powerful and one of the best DD's for ranked. I am terrible in it and cannot make it work, but can make the British DD's work. So long as you are having fun in the Stalingrad/that style of ship that is all that matters.

@@Swarm509 eating torps? i had a 50% wr in kita the first 8 ranked games but kept going and after 40 games i'm at 72% tendency increasing. you have to get used to predicting torps and enemy positions because of your poor maneuverability but once you get used to it it becomes a smolensk with 36mm (ifhe) pen and 6.1 conceal. you can start by just farming a lot and you'll start recongnizing the sitiuations in which you can go and destroy some dds.

Kita/ jutland are very good in ranked. Both of them I am over 55% WR and PR of 1300+ they can carry the hole match.
