I might be wrong but I thought Mike Tyson was a master at getting inside. His upper cuts were beautiful especially when he would step to the side. Best uppercuts I’ve ever seen. Peace
You are right that was his game. Watch for later in his career he would still get inside but initiate tie ups which muted his inside game. He would hit people on the way in and then not do much. early on you are 100 percent correct!
I know it's a little bit weird but if a taller guy sticks his hand in your face Vladimir klitschko styles just hook his biceps i swear to god worst pain that you'll ever feel in a ring. My coach did it on me i died of pain he hurt my arm for 3 days I couldn't move it
Im gonna try this in sparring! Canelo did this with Callum Smith the other weekend. Look at the post fight interview and Callum's arm is swollen and bruised
You are right but there are some key elements that are missing that you need to describe: Yeah you need to cut corners and get close but you can never ever step forward in his range without punching or moving your head so you either Nr.1 throw some jabs while stepping in with your lead lead 2 or 3 step jabs then continue with combinations or Nr.2 you can advance slowly while moving your head left or right slipping to the sides bobing and weaving and when you are in range throw either a jab and combinations combinations without jabing... but only when you creep into range slowly with head movement if you are not doing these 2 aproaches you are a moving target and your taller opponent will punch your head off ( not only your head anyone's 😃 generally speaking )
One thing I taught myself to do was the backing up technique u just showed here ,except I don’t throw the uppercut I throw the overhand right hard as fuck hoping to put the big guy down (not a boxer btw )
if you're watching this to get back to your bully and you're small af remember this.. Keep your eyes on the kneecaps, Keep your head low and Fight low.
